    El Dia de los Reyes

I love this so much. Up front I get a enormous amounts of rich dark chocolate cocoa. It's sweetened a little bit by the brown sugar, and I get warm, delicious (and not bitter) coffee underneath. This is one of those scents I wish I could eat.

    Azathoth

In the imp: The cedar and vetiver come off as rough and smoky. Like standing in front of some smoldering cedar planks. There's is a hint of tangerine sweetness underneath, but not much. Wet: Still mostly charred cedar. Dry: Charred cedar with little bit of fiery saffron and a tiny hit of sweet amber. Overall: Too smoky and woody for me!

    Hay Moon

Starts off fairly sweet, with softness from the mallow, a touch of spicy cardamom, and a little hay. The grasses, hay, and wheat become more prominent as it dries. Light, golden, and dry. I can almost feel the dry hay it is so lifelike. The honey and amber add a warmth and natural sweetness. The mallow and cardamom add a spice and airiness that adds interest. Absolutely gorgeous and I am so happy I could find a bottle.

    Hell's Belle

Heady florals, with a little spice. Musky, sweet, and little creamy. Pretty, but not quite my thing.

    Y'ha-nthlei

A nice base of salty-warm ambergris, sharpened by other aquatics and eucalyptus. The ambergris helps it from being to sharp or cold on me. I don't think this is something I would wear that often, but my guy might like it!

    Lear

Almost all cedar and bay leaf on me. Just a touch of sage. The cedar is very raw and rough. The scent as a whole is savory, warm, and dry.

    Anything laundryish?

Excellent, thanks guys Will have to get me some Boober. I love linden blossom absolute so fingers crossed BPAL's linden note is similar. I have now tried Enraged Bunny Musk, and while Boober is not fluffy it's sweeter than EBM on me.

    Enraged Bunny Musk

In the bottle: soft florals, laundry soap but in the best way. Wet: Clean florals with bit of powder. Dry: Very fluffy cotton. Just a hint of powder and breeze of floral. A perfect clean scent.
  9. Have you tried Ask the Nearest Hippie. That would have to be one of my top patchouli recommendations.

    The Smithfield Ghost

A spectral musk echoing the memory of neroli, rosewood, and frankincense. This scent is very interesting for how simple the notes would suggest. I definitely get frankincense and rosewood. Frankincense to me can be very gritty and bright, but it seems more subdued here with the rosewood. The musk is light (but it doesn't smell like white musk to me) and sweet, it hovers over the other notes and does kind of subdue them. Dry I can find just a touch of neroli if I really search. It really does smell like the traces of another perfume in musk. It's quite haunting.

I haven't tried Enraged Bunny Musk but I will always jump on an opportunity to sing Boober's praises. It's sweet and clean, and the linden blossom is so beautiful.

    The Black Rider

The black leather is rich, not quite pungent brand-new leather but not super soft and worn either. The combination of amber, oppoponax, and tobacco adds a rich but not heavy sweetness. I think the toabacco and leather makes it just a touchy dirty. It's dark, and pretty sexy.

    Djinn

...The scent of black smoke, of crackling flames, and smoldering ashes. Wet this was all acrid smoke. Harsh vetiver. But dry, I do get the smoky cola vibes. Very interesting, but not for me.

    The Dormouse

Been dying to try this! I get mostly white and green teas, very bright and clean. There is a little something lemony. The peony is very light. This is definitely something I would wear in the spring and summer months.

    Hetairae

The ylang ylang sweetened by the honey is the strongest aspect to me. The honey was very strong at first, and almost threatened to take over but then settled. I get just a little patchouli and clove underneath to ground the scent. Quite sensual and heady.

    Waiting

In the bottle: Sharp lavender and white musk. Wet: Lavender, white musk. fresh water. Clean and cold. A little sharp still. Dry: The lavender has softened, and there is just a touch of clean musk. I definitely smell asphalt but it's not overwhelming. The oudh gives it more depth. Overall: I am learning to love lavender again (too much generic, sharp lavender in bath products and such left a bad taste in my mouth). It was too sharp in the bottle for me but even though it does not sweeten, the sharpness is softened enough to be wearable. It reminds me of the many gray, rainy days of Seattle and can see myself wearing this a lot.

    Alecto

The vetiver was a little strong for me in the wet stage but dry it's a beautiful smoky/grassy base, with the other notes floating around it. The cedar is very light, the raspberry leaf stands out most after the vetiver to me. It reads more masculine to me so I don't know how often I would wear it, but I'll need to try it on my guy.

    Cheshire Cat

This dries down to a light grapefruit, barely sweetened by musk and the bitterness is tempered by the lavender and chamomile. I get just a touch of tart current. It's quite beautiful, and I think may be a bottle purchase!

    Tombstone

Fizzy sweet root beer over cedar. Rugged, but not too masculine for my tastes.

    Eat Me

Perfect sweet white cake with tart currants! The tartness keeps it from going too sweet. Definitely will need a bottle of this!

    The Red Egg

In the imp: Very fruity, and red. Wet: Fruity red musk, with thin coffee. Not in a bad way, just like a light wash of coffee under the musk. There is a powdery porcelain note like zankoku_zen mentions, it smells like the powder note in Pediophobia to me. Dry: mostly coffee and myrrh. Roasty and warm. The musk is so light just a touch fruity, and fragile! I don't know how to describe it exactly. It's a gently smoldering scent.
  22. Mostly golden, bright florals. The mallow makes it a little creamy, and the honey is apparent. It's a big, bold scent but not in an aggressive way. The wild musk is interesting because it is so different from the other notes, it smells distinctly "brown" to me (I don't have much experience with actual brown musks however).

    A Dusty Moth

Had to try this because I love all the notes except orris. In the imp: very soft tuberose, maybe made a little powdery from the orris? But I do not smell the orris distinctly. A vague warm sweetness underneath. Wet: mostly black tea, soft tuberose, and ambergris. Really beautiful in this stage. Dry: ambergris with orris making it flat and musty. I can catch a little tuberose trying to fix the situation, but to no avail. Overall: I would still like to sniff this one someone who's skin won't turn the volume up on the orris because it should be so wonderful.

    In the Wild North

The pine is especially noticeable at first but this is a nice mix of evergreens with sweet snow. But not at all like Snow White to me (I tested them together to compare). This is definitely sweeter than I expected but I love it all the same!

    Snow White

2016: Creamy sweet, vanilla-coconut snow. I can't tell what these flowers are, but I love them. Fluffy, sweet, and snuggly. Great throw on me!
