    Aquae Massage Oil

This a very bright floral/herbal blend. Not in a citrus way but there is a lightness and smooth greenness to the blend that does make me think of water. I have a hard time picking out notes in this one except lavender. My guy said it smells like a field of wildflowers. Very soothing scent. Absorbs fantastically, but has great glide for massage as always.

    Pumpkin Spice Silkybat Hair Gloss

Another who has not tried the original Silkybat- but this is an absolutely beautiful sweet patch. It's very smooth, and the spices are not overpowering it. I see this pairing beautifully with a number of scents.

Black Cherry Apricot Gløgg and Sweet Incense

As soon as I open the imp cherry just starts wafting out. A lot of these notes sound wonderful but cherry isn't my thing and it's all cherry before it even gets near my skin. Luckily the apricot really kicks into gear and balances with the cherry on wet. There is hit of booze and spice behind it and it smells like a Christmas market. I am actually quite pleasantly surprised by this as it becomes a nice mulled wine scent and I get just a hint of what seems like cherry brandy and it doesn't take over.

    Behind the Veils

This starts off as a super red musky wine with an incensey note I think must be the oudh and myrrh. There's a really sweet fruity stage probably due to the honey in the middle, but it darkens again. I get hints of spice but not much, it's mostly a deep musky wine incense.

    Lola Hair Gloss

Jacquelynn’s beautiful baby! She has a unique independence that I attribute to her being an Aquarius. She hates closed doors and crates. She likes the option to join the party or not. She is intelligent, loyal and protective. Super affectionate with people she knows, but aloof with strangers. A wintry-white flurry of snow, as pale as her eyes, with lacquered black pepper and oudh. This starts out all sweet, fluffy, vaguely coconutty snow. Like Snow White without the flowers. As it settles the black pepper adds a little heat and intrigue. The oudh is definitely a milder one, I get a sweet woodiness underneath all of the snow. I feel like I could pair this with quite a few things (especially Yule scents!) and could be one of my everyday workhorse HGs. Definitely give this a try if you love sweet snow scents.

    Dragon Snugs

In the imp this is a bold, sweet, almost juicy floral tea- though not quite sure what's giving that fruity quality. The rooibois is so true to life, a bit sweet and nutty. The honey and beeswax meld with it so beautifully, making a really rich warm scent that has earthier sweetness. The pink pepper is super floral to me in this blend, giving a vaguely rosy air to the blend.

    The Catholic

In the imp this smells a lot like a softer sweeter Lightning to me. Lighter on the ozone, with a good dose of sweetened citrus. Flat Sprite but make it perfume. (In a good way!) On my skin I get mostly church incense, a good dose of frankincense. This blend is soooo pretty. A bit on the sweeter side with that beautiful slightly powdery effect. I get just a tiny bit of a clean lift from the ozone and citrus behind it. It's overall pretty soft on my skin, and I think a clean enough type that it could be good for work.

    Zorya Utrennyaya

Sweet black coffee in the imp, has a beautiful cacao undertone. On my skin the musky ambrette really blooms and this become very perfumey coffee. It has a really nostalgic effect on me, everything becomes sepia toned. There's something so rich and elegant about this combination. Great throw on me, but in a soft way. This will be a bottle in the near future.

    The Queen of Love

Mmmm musky, almost heady roses. There's something a bit syrupy about it too. This is definitely a va-va-voom regal scent.

    Hebrews 13:1-3

SO sugary! Sniffing in the imp my guy said "watermelon candy" and I hate him for it because that's what I smell now too. It's a very bright sweet scent, I was expecting something darker and spicier. On my skin it's a sweet, white floral (not heady at all) with sweet, smooth tobacco underneath. If I sniff very deeply I get some dry cinnamon. So comforting, and so unexpected. I really love this.

    Uncle Travelling Matt

Very chocolate-y in the imp along with vanilla and juicy fruity greenness. On my skin this really smooths out to a quiet fruity chocolate scent, but it's hard to pick out the fruit notes specifically. The throw is low on me. I think I'd like this in a candle.

    Rose Cross

In the imp I get deep velvety rose, a bit like Peacock Queen. On my skin the rose is a bit lighter and more dusty, less of that deep fruity quality from before. The frankincense is bright and comforting. A very simple, beautiful blend. Really good throw on me, and lasts very well.

    Peach, Peach Blossom, Apricot, Nectarines

Not with peach in particular, but I know some fruit notes that go artificial on me tend to do a little bit better when they have good base notes like wood or patchouli to fix them so maybe you'd have better luck with Peach Chypre?

Looking for a bpal that embodies beeswax

These two!! They both have beeswax specifically and have that deep warm honey note that The Lights of Men's Lives doesn't have (at least for me, even though it is a good wax scent).

    Vibrating Motel Bed Hair Gloss

Up front it's all that fizzy champagne note from Bon Vivant (how does Beth do it?) but this has a citrus edge that just makes it brighter and more bubbly feeling, and a nice vanilla undertone.

    Heart-Shaped Hot Tub Hair Gloss

Initial sniff is just sweet red, so sweet it turns pink. Makes me think of a ultra-feminine fluffy powder room. On it's more dynamic a light sweet red musk and wine coming out first with the heady magnolia trailing closely. Something a bit incensey might be the oudh but I can't pick it out specifically.

    Magnificent Autumn

2018 version: In the imp all sticky green sap, something about it reminds me of childhood and crisp autumn mornings and back-to-school excitement. On the skin the sticky sweet sap remains with just the most gentle breeze of dead leaves over it. There's a touch of fruity sweetness underneath. It's that autumn sunshine that warms your face while you bask in it but the coolness is creeping in all around it. Really lovely.

    Caldarium

In the imp this is RED BERRY with a bit of herbal greenness and I'm transported to a 16th century kitchen for a moment. A bit nervous because sometimes berry notes go wonky with my skin chemistry. On my skin the berry actually takes a step back and I get mostly rosemary after that, and a sweet-floral I think must be the honey myrtle. It's a very soothing scent!

    Spectral Courtesan Hair Gloss

Sniffing in the bottle this is so different from what I expected- but in a good way. I get that raw patchouli and oakmoss up front very green and forest-y and my brain instantly went "Christmas!" but there is just something evergreen about this in the bottle. I agree with zankoku_zen that (once on) there is a lightness and it smells like a bit like a fancy aquatic cologne. I can't pick out the other notes specifically but the whole package is really beautiful. It's been forever since I smelled Elf but my brain is making an association, it's a really ethereal and elegant forest-y scent.
  20. Have you tried The Rose (GC)? It's red rose with the leaves and sap, but I find it doesn't have that chill of Rose Red that you described. Could be what you're looking for!

    Zephyr

The scent is very confusing wet initially. Lots of citrus notes clamoring against the white florals and with the white musk it's a bit too sharp and busy and soapy. Thankfully it soon settles in, and the neroli stands out over the top of the rest of the notes with the lemon and bergamot trailing behind. It's bright and still smells very clean, more like breezy linens rather than soap at this point. As it settles further the musk, sandalwood, and gardenia round it out more. Very fresh and clean spring scent.

    Othello

Wet this is deep musky rose with a sharp smoky smell that smells a bit like spent fireworks for a moment before turning into heady incenses. Soon it settles into a much more subdued smooth musk, with just a breath of dark roses over the top.

    Monster Bait: biggerCritters Hair Gloss

Super sugary vanilla. I get more jasmine than gardenia, and it is the very sweet smooth kind. The grapefruit really brightens the scent and makes it different from other vanilla hgs in my collection, it adds a lot of freshness. A very young and playful scent, it makes me think of dolls.

    Shadow Embrace Bath Oil

Man I wish I grabbed more than one bottle of this. Super luxurious scent. It's so complex and mysterious. The agarwood is sweetly smoky, and so smooth. The orchid is waxy and a bit humid. They meld beautifully.

    Crinoline and Lace

To me this is a very delicate 'pouf' scent, it makes me think of old fashioned powder rooms and powder poufs, but without the scent itself being super powdery. I'm having a hard time picking out particular notes but vanilla and a bit of creamy coconut. It sort of bright, clean, and creamy, with a breath of floral. There is just the tiniest bit of powder on the edges of the scent, it's really nice and makes it sort of vintage but without the aldehydes.
