In the imp I get super sweet, dark, sugary rum, but no booze. Like rum syrup. There's a fruitiness as well. Wet: Sugary rum, but boozier. There is something that smells vaguely banana-y underneath. Dry: Rum and bananas.

    Hope

Fresh, pink rose and I agree with zankoku_zen, very rosewater-y. I get a sprinkling of white sugar over the top, and I think a little vanilla. Completely dry I get a clean freshness that I associate with white musk as well.

    Closet Raid

Threatened to go screechy on me, but settled down fine! I get the Chanel No.5, lavender, a classic men's cologne in that order and if I really sniff I get the Snake Oil underneath all of that. It's heady, floral, and a little powdery but in an elegant way. It's definitely a big, bold, glamorous scent.

    Black Pomegranate

This is just as I hoped! A beautiful dark, juicy pomegranate. Sweet but with bit of tartness, wet it almost reads powdery but dry it comes off as deep and velvety.

    Thirteen (13): October 2017

Very comforting scent. In the bottle I get cocoa, with coffee, almond, and rum primarily. Wet it's a dry cocoa with coffee, vanilla, and cardamom. It gets sweeter and creamier as it dries down and the notes harder to distinguish. Sweet, creamy chocolate with a bit of coffee is mainly what I get. Absolutely delicious!

    Pickle Hair Gloss

Very fluffy vanilla and coconut cream, with just a hint of tiare flower. Very different than CVBT on me, which was tropical and more coconut heavy.

    Oil and Pitch

This starts out quite herbal on my skin, and sweetens up as it dries. It's dark, heavy resins but not in a bad way at all. It stays a little green and herbal on me, I want to call it rugged almost.

    The Sun in Anger Swore

In the imp: woody and scorched. I think a combo of oud and black pepper. Wet: Getting a some red musk and amber, but it is still very dry and scorched. Dry: absolutely nothing sweet about this blend on me. Arid and stifling. Primarily red musk, oudh, and black pepper.
  9. Maybe layering something pink and sugary over something a little more sinister? The first thing I thought of for her was High-Strung Daisies Ack, I think I had High-Strung Daisies long ago, but swapped it away. Not sure I really have much in the way of sugary scents in general, other than maybe Midnight on the Midway. Hmm maybe something with roses, like Sin layered with rose. Or maybe a tea scent?

    Roses, Pearls, and Diamonds

Beautiful creamy pink rose! The orris doesn't overpower and go weird musty sweet like it usually does on me. The coconut is very creamy but the actual coconutiness of it is quite light. Smells like a princess! Good back up for when some of my other creamy pink roses run out.

    Blood

In the imp: spicy cherry candy Wet: cherry starts going a little cough-syrupy. I think the ultra-sweet cherry I get from DBR is pushing the cherry much too sweet and the clove is quite strong as well. Dry: Much more restrained cherry, I think the myrrh is really holding down the fort, and the spice settled down as well. Surprised about how the DBR is working on my skin

    Pugsley Hair Gloss

Mmm dark musky tea. I agree with LizzieLuck, this is like a dark Dorian. The little bite from the licorice replaces the lemon in my mind. This one is fairly light, and not too strong on the licorice for me. A very cozy tea scent.

    Autumn Cider Hair Gloss

I agree that this is quite light, but not in a bad way at all! Sometimes I find spice to be too heavy, but it's well balanced in this HG and really lets the apple shine. I get apple and a good dose of brown sugar, with light spices, and a little brightness from the lemon and orange. It smells like the perfect cider. Decent throw.

A Rosy Colour Paints Her Claws With Honor

A beautiful musky rose scent. Sweet and heavenly, curling around like a decadent pink cloud. This is for sure a new favorite rose scent!

    Tzadikim Nistarim

In the imp: dry and herbal, almost grassy hyssop. Wet: Hyssop and frankincense. Green incense Dry: pretty much the same. Feels like a drying meadow.

    Persephone

In the imp: super sweet pomegranate syrup. Wet: Less sweet pomegranate and a tiny bit of red rose. Dry: The rose and pomegranate combination is gorgeous. I get red rose, but it is softened by the fruity sweetness of the pomegranate. Youthful and playful but not girlish to me.

    Veritas

The essence of honesty, integrity, and veracity: frankincense, white carnation, angelica, chamomile, and heliotrope. Gritty, bright frankincense and a little carnation. I swear I get cedar too. Soft, woodsy-floral powder on me.

    Sybaris

Wow this is the first time I've really enjoyed violets on my skin that I can recall. They do not go too sweet or powdery on me. Nice mysterious flowers with a good dose of sweet incense and tonka. A swirling, narcotic blend.

    Drink Me

In the imp: syrupy and sweet. Like a buttery toffee drink. Wet: Buttery toffee and hints of tart cherry. Dry: It smells like Christmas. There's a delicious buttery, generalizes "sweets" smell with hints of tart cherry (and maybe pineapple if I search). A delicious foodie scent, and I want to eat something that smells like this!

    Askasleikir

I LOVE dry cocoa scents. This is a rich dark cocoa and light dusting of sweet cinnamon with bit of a creaminess underneath.

    Golden Champa Attar

In the imp: light nag champa-esque incense Wet: pretty much the same Dry: soft floral incense powder, but it threatens to go a little sharp.

    John Watson

When I first smelled this before looking at the notes all I could think of was cool, crisp water. It's a very clean and sophisticated smell. I definitely get wool and linen, with a just touches of pine and lime. Refined and handsome, love this almost as much as Sherlock and will probably have to get both for my guy.

    Hecate

In the imp: sweet almond. Smells like pastries. Wet: grape candy borderline cough syrup. Dry: dark musky almond, which stays nutty and doesn't go into cherry territory. I quite like it though it's not something I'd really wear as a perfume.

The Curtain of the Temple was Torn in Two

This is very cinnamon heavy on me, a nice cinnamon though. And it doesn't burn on me at all which is nice. As it dries a get a hearty warmth and depth from the resins. It's basically cinnamon incense on me, which is not bad at all!
