In the imp I get waxy lily and a touch of a slightly smoky black tea. On my skin the silk note comes out, and I get more green tea than black. Not a super crisp greek tea, more mellow and vegetal and it melds with the lily.

Gorgeous! Almost candyfloss-like in its airy sweetness. Honey and cherry blossom nestled in a halo of floral musk with a touch of cherry fruit. Cherry normally goes cough syrupy on my skin, but this is staying so nice.

In the imp this is more rich and cozy than I expected, mostly tobacco, sandalwood and ambrette with a touch of moss. On my skin it is similar with the barest hint of mushroom adding some more earthiness. I get a bit of a brighter green note, I don't think it's the moss, but whatever Beth has added to make 'green' sandalwood. Maybe a bit of lime? I can't quite pull it out, but it definitely pushes the scent a little fresher than full on cozy.

Big sweet patch in the imp with a smack of black leather. I also get a faint whiff of red rose for a moment. On my skin it is mostly patchouli and clove with a bit of smoky leather at the edges, very surprised to see it behave on me.

This is so soothing and tranquil. In the imp I get a gentle mint and green tea combo, rounded out by a very light amber. On my skin the amber and a gentle hint of oud (light, woody not funky) and smooth leather make a base for the other notes to dance on top of. It's a gentle green blend, lightly herbal. Mostly green tea with a bit of sweet mint and bergamot, but if I search I can find the juniper berry and the lemon blossom.

Despite not being a listed in the imp I mostly get cinnamon, the soft sweet Ceylon kind. I think it is something about the combination of spices, as on my skin I distinctly get cardamom, and a light dry ginger. I think the peppercorn is adding the heat my nose read as cinnamon? As it dries I get tea and just a hint of wood, but this is very spice forward on me. Very cozy!

In the imp I get beautiful sugared jasmine and a sprinkle of herbs. It gets very quiet on my skin, mostly sugary vanilla and some smooth jasmine. There is a pear whispering a few rooms over. Some moss and thyme are in my pocket. It's a pretty scent, but my skin is just eating it up for some reason.

Really interesting combo of warm spicy notes and cool notes. Initially I get a lot of sage, clove, and juniper over a sweetish cool musk. As it dries I get more peppercorn, and mixed with the clove this is a really spicy scent, getting a bit sweeter and more herbal as it dries. Once fully dry I would say the sage and juniper are most prominent with the amber and musk backing them up, with just a hint of spice. It's sharp and elegant, yet a bit rugged.

In the imp I get mostly lettuce and cucumber, juicy green and really refreshing. On my skin there is a bit of cabbage funk and a lot of green musk, it's more herbal than fresh crunchy cucumber.

That is indeed potato! Starchy with added earthiness from the patchouli and vetiver. It gets a bit less potato-y as it wears and more just a very earthy cologne, but if you search for it the potato is always there.

In the imp I get a really light plum and peach blossoms, breezy and fruity, with just a touch of sea air. On my skin the waxy, cool water lily comes out with just a sliver of grapefruit. In the end it is much less fruity and more beachy, but the fruity sweetness helps keep the salty notes from being harsh.

This starts off as mostly moss and a grassy vetiver on me, with a slight astringency and a touch of the smoky ashes in the background. The incense and patch come out, making it smoother and earthy. The moss and vetiver give a slight cool greenness. The ashes stay in the background. A somber incense scent.

Spicy green-floral. Like a meadow on the edge of a forest. As it dries it is mostly carnation forward and the cypress and grasses are more in the background.

Starts of as a floaty combo of coconut and hazelnut in equal measure. Warm, nutty, creamy. As it dries I get a bit of the florals and amber peaking out, making it less gourmand. Sweet and fuzzy, makes me think of sweater.

2023 Reboot My nose could not make sense of this in the imp. Super high pitched and shrieking. It smells like someone took all the menthol-like elements out of pine and concentrated them with maybe a bit of incense. Super cold and sharp. On my skin it is woodier and earthier, but this sharp cold note lingers over top. It starts getting weirdly sweet, and a little rose pokes out. I think there's a dirt note and it is not playing well on my skin. Eventually it dries down to a very pleasant dewy white rose scent with a hint of wood. But my skin makes a mess of the wet stage unfortunately.

This starts off so good on me, super bright citrus sparkling over a bit of pineapple and a hint of a sharp green note. I think the sharp green note is lemon leaf, and it is really pleasant at first, but ends up just taking over on my skin.

Gorgeous! The amber is smooth and chewy, and the black musk is really lovely. Slinky and spicy.

Surprised to get mostly vanilla buttercream, even in my skin. As it settles the florals start to creep out but they are really subdued by the buttercream, not big and heady at all. It is a truly lovely combination though.

In the imp this is bright and bubbly, mostly lime and yuzu but a strong undercurrent of smooth vanilla. On my skin the lychee and blackberry come out, a combination I've not experienced before but I really like it, sweet and floral lychee with the darker juiciness of blackberry. The citrus notes brighten it. I get more green tea and vanilla as it wears. A really fun and unique fruit scent!

2023 Reboot Edition. This is dark, sweet and resinous. It has this chemical sort of edge, but a pleasant one, a bit like the asphalt note in Waiting.

So bright and juicy in the imp, all pineapple and mango. Ever-so-slightly less juicy on the skin with the sandalwood and frankincense adding a slight powdery softness underneath, pushing it more perfumey than just straight up fruit. Not sure if I can pick out honey specifically, but I think it is adding to the sweetness. A super cheerful blend!

This starts out wonderfully foodie, softly spiced cream and hazelnuts. The brown musk and mandarin come out on my skin, and overall a touch earthier. Very snuggly.
-
Dark, heady neroli dominates at first but soon followed by greenish daffodil. The amber is very soft on my skin, very much buried under the flowers. It's refreshing yet elegant.

2023 Reboot Edition In the imp this brought to mind a dark, semi-tropical forest. Earthy woods and patch made a bit humid by the florals and moss. On my skin it makes me think of a mysterious cart selling exotic goods, a fae peddler. It's more incense, with a bit of earthiness behind it. Florals mingle over the top, mostly lavender and neroli.

My partner wanted me to grab a sample of this, I had expected this to be rather smoky and therefore not my thing. However the smoke is the smooth, sweetish kind I have found often labelled as 'hearthsmoke'. It's very subtle as I get more wood and fur. The mahogany is smooth and stately, and the fur is reminiscent of Bear Prince. A really cozy, atmospheric scent. It reminds me a Last Tavern at the Town Gate, though more in overall feel than specific notes.
