  1. Take the fair face of the Pageant Queen (AKA Buckhead Betty) and decorate her with flowers, diamonds, and a splash of glittering fougeres. That's right, this queen is all beautiful glitter, and rhinestones in the spotlight. Ethereal, iridescent and echoing some of the lab's most sparking scents, this queen is mysterious and smiling with innocent joy. This is totally taking a stroll through the Neiman Marcus perfume counter. Where's my crown?

  2. Silver champa smoke swirls through this. Clean, clear and ringing like a holy temple, it's very much like gong meditation when the sound and the vibration reverberates through the body, pushing out cobwebs and clutter. Exotic and sweet, it becomes a sulty second skin scent on me, a bit like I've just been scrubbed down by sacred white light.

  3. This smells a bunch different than other strawberry scents i've tried and only slightly like the '12 Strawberry Moon I used to have. I'm getting summer days in the sun-warmed woods, pulling tiny, barely pink strawberries from my pockets, tearing off the fuzzy caps and eating them by the handful. Much of the time strawberry scents can go dollhead, gourmand or just too "pink", but this one grassy, dandelion sappy and green, I-just-rolled-in-the-forest scent, not a hint of soap or anything unnatural.

  4. Regal with notes of creamy primrose and honeysuckle nectar glistening within a sweetly scented aura. I'm making some wild guesses at the notes here, but it is definitely sparkling, glowing and illuminated. This is relaxed elegant femme, floating through the air, as clean and completely effortless. Soft and welcoming with lots of airy musk, it exudes seduction with a slightly hypnotic presence and HAUTEDAMN perfect for the Texas heat. I'm crazy for sparkling florals, but MEDIA is a shining star that is softly enveloping, addicting and makes me dance in the spotlight~

  5. Mountain laurel petals limned in pale pink settling among boughs of hemlock, soft mosses, and dark lichens.

This is a floral scent overall, but one that entwines itself in a grey, moss covered cemetery after a storm. I get the velvety moss, earthy lichens, something floral and illuminating hemlock. Just after application, it is extraordinarily fragrant. A blossom that is lovely to look at, but if you sink your nose deeply into it, you might get light headed and woozy.

    It settles down quickly and
I am enveloped in delicious bitterness. The separate notes entangling themselves into a velvet, dry floral mixed with an equal measure of swampy moss. Soft plodding through a crumbling cemetery of heavy, leaning branches, with forgotten flowers left behind on muddy, gravestones black from mold and rain.

Darkly atmospheric, elegant yet moody, I can't help but think of torn and tattered lace dresses, wilted flower crowns, and dreams of marbled gloom outlined with silvered-pink edges.

  6. A regional variation of the traditional prom corsage: black rose, purple carnation and belladonna with a spray of baby's breath, dusted with frankincense, opoponax, and crushed yew seeds.

This smells like your best friend in high school. I'm taken back to the original Herbal Essence shampoo in the green bottle. You know the one with the girl shampooing in a waterfall of flowers? This is dark FANTASTIC! I get the black rose upfront and YES purple carnation, but it's not just florals here, but herbal green yew too along with resinous frank. The opoponax gives it a vintage tone, like a classic prom night with massive corsages and greenery decorating a forest dance floor. It's pretty wonderful, herbal, woodsy without being overly floral. Fabulous, deep and refreshing, I'm gonna wear the heck out of this over the summer.

  7. Rich, sublime red musk wafts swirl around me, along with a sweet, deep incense type smokiness that I adore. I'm not getting much, if any metallic blood musk or entrails thank goodness. It's very "regal" in a way and has a poise and seductiveness which makes it sacred, even incandescent overall. This is by far, my favorite of the Idus Martiae, elegantly encapsulating the atmospheric realism of the event while being incredibly sexy.

  8. Sharp and strong weird apple at first! Ruh-roh Shaggy. I cannot wear apple. I've tried SO many apples and finally gave up. I just had to try, one last time because I adore all the other notes here--besides apple.
After a few minutes, I can tell, this just might be my HG of APPLE. The patch moves forward, lifting the herbal lavender along with it. Then, the fluffy vanilla cream steps in to pack a great big PUNCH of SMOOTH. YES! Oh, this is really divine. Almost another version of TKO with more spice, apple musk and fluff. MINE!

  9. Sex Toys for Women's Pleasure ~
Soft, sueded, sweet champa coconut on my skin. Warm, glowing and golden, i'm transported to a magical shop filled with ringing chimes, crystals and floating smoke. This is very much like a sister to the other PP scent Fake News, except the highlight here are the glittering, Champaca resins. Wearable and elegant, this makes me feel like a bell ringing, scarf twirling, sun-kissed gypsy with a strap on.

  10. Back in the stoneage, I was well known for my black clove cigarettes. My gawd they were smelly :P I'm pretty sure a cloud of clove followed me around everywhere, and I even remember a few complaints. I was also seriously goth (still) but scent wise, my heart belonged to Snake Oil. Fast forward to now, smelling this queen it's very much spicy clove up front, but I also detect the deep, swirling menacing patchouli in the background. The sweetness of the clove is reminiscent of my dark, smoky days that drift in and out of midnight laced memories. This is definitely dark and sultry, but after complete dry down, I'm also getting a BUNCH of absinth now. This would be the perfect dark concert scent - deep, exotic, bewitching and ready to move you to black, stained tears.

  11. Big, fluffy spun sugar honey wafts at the start of this Queen. The floral is in the background on me, mostly giving the honey a delicate thread of orange blossom. I could SWEAR there's some jasmine (pee-pee) lurking in here! Very reminiscent of Womb Fury, except the dry down is total PINK cotton candy instead of smoky, sugary Snake Oil. It's also reminding me of Entertaining the Heian Court Maiden, so it could be the honey note that is a common thread. It's really sexy, warm and just a tiny bit woodsy, I can actually see this deepening with a bit of aging and possibly going spectacular.

  12. Mysterious and heady, Witch Queen is sexy, epic "NOIR", and quite possibly my favorite within the Gaiman collection. This reminds me of walking into a magick shop full of crystals, wind chimes and purple smoke. The drydown is haunting, sultry, and adds a bit of overall mystic to this twilight jewel.
An Oriental fantasy, she is the beautiful Witch who tempts you with sweet smelling berries that after one whiff transport you into velvet lined caves with amethyst caverns.

Perfectly balanced and stunning, the notes swirl together: you are either dancing inside the circle in unison with the Queen, or you are crushed by her spell. This fragrance makes me feel powerful and yet playful, glamorous, witchy and beloved.

  13. Warm, tobacco honey with a bright magnolia note that gives it a certain brightness.
I've been chasing a bottle of this for while and ugh, it's super sexy.
The honey and creamy, swirly vanilla tobacco reminds me of Mrs. Bunce, St. Clare, even Black Lace. Rich and heady, the smoky, sultry quality makes it a velvety hit. So warm and inviting, I feel like the 10th woman rolling around on soft fur and pleasure.

  14. Yet another epic BPAL floral blend. It's a crazy combo of blossoms when you read the notes, but on the skin everything mixes together and becomes smooth, sweet nectar. Golden, glowing and sugary goodness, I love wearing this when the weather just starts to warm up, and the mornings are crisp and dewy. Perhaps because of the citrus and moss notes, it comes across as a clean and fresh fragrance on top of my skin. It's another one that I could apply at the end of the day as a pick me up. Feminine, floaty and elegant overall

  15. No where on earth does a better sandalwood, frankincense, and amber blend exist.
It is luxurious, and takes incense oils to the highest level of craft.
I have made a promise to myself, to never run out of this one, it is so good.
So, so heavenly, and calms my nerves whenever I wear it.
Rich, complex and slightly sweet, warm, and woodsy.
It surrounds me with its amber warmth and kitten fur softness.
    ~Aum~

清浄心身 Purifies the body and the spirit
    能覚睡眠 Awakens the spirit
    静中成友 Heals loneliness
    塵裏愉閑 Calms in turbulent times

  16. Even though they share absolutely none of the same notes, something about this reminds me of Serving Fish with a moss note and most definitely Lady Death Savage. I'm guessing it could be the delicate vanilla. The moss here is upfront, but after a few minutes the watery lotus gives way to bit of sweetness and the bamboo adds a touch of freshness. It's actually quite nice, balanced and refined overall. I've never been to a festival orgy, but something about this smells like clean skin rolling on the mossy hillside, not caring about muddy knees on blankets or tossed aside clothes. Very youthful, exuberant and bright.

  17. The balance here between the orange, iris, wood and vanilla is certain Utopia.
On the outskirts of Santa Fe, NM is a quaint, Japanese spa called Ten-Thousand Waves. I visited years ago, and they have a cluster of outdoor warmed pools in the mountains where you can soak and watch the snow fall. It is a magical experience for certain.

Kotatsu takes me back to Waves, perhaps because the spa is built entirely with red cedar, and within the bathrooms they have the most exquisite sweet cedar lotion. I would slather myself in it and feel peaceful and divine for hours afterward. The notes in Kotatsu have the same type of beautiful balance. The slightly sweet notes intertwine with the vanilla and wispy cedar to create a velvety, wooded, yummy vanilla.

  18. I was hoping for something dark, wooded, resinous and rich from the amber, but this is so rough on me. It's metallic at the front for some reason, and then goes almost aquatic and downright masculine. I am not getting any sexy here, at least it's not making me sexy. It's making me smell like cold, metallic sweat when I'm nervous. I'm feeling nervous. Those are big shadows and a glinting blade. Et tu, Brute?

  19. I'm just putting this out there but I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Not even sure I can put it into words, but this is one of those epic LUPER scents that you want to smell ALL THE TIME! I can't stop spraying everything in my house with this and then spray it into the air and run through it giggling because it's so gooooood. Imagine all the best vanilla's Beth and Puddin have ever made. Like a beautiful baby of ALL THEIR BEST nillas inside this little dark bottle that you can SPRAY and make all things smell this way.
Not a foody vanilla, the ambergris is dark and resinous as the ylang-ylang drifts through all wispy and erotic. Makes me want to amp up my "exercise" habits in the bedroom and hang from chandeliers

  20. We had many Iris patches around our yard when I was a child. I would pluck the flowers and take them apart and examine them. They appeared almost edible--sumptuous, petals fragrant velvety to touch.

The orris here is the highlight with it's violet breath, mixing with luminous magnolia in a sophisticated way. The musk is delicate and dances through the blend with swishy hips and parted lips. The gentle hum of the magnolia gives it an overall creaminess and sweetness, with a whisper as tears fall to transform into diamonds.

  21. A decant of this was slipped inside one of my packages and WOW I hunted down a bottle soon after, actually from Lizzie^^

I'm a sucker for the lab's daffodil note, and this one does not disappoint. These, strangely enough are warm weather daffodils, just before they bolt and go to seed. The bees are buzzing about and the shaggy roses are tossing pollen. All the floral notes swim together and form a sort of wild flower bouquet along with the EPIC ahhhhhhhHHH vanilla amber note that makes me SING! It comes together into a fresh, clean almost green honey scent that beautifully duplicates springtime. I will treasure this one.

  22. This was included in a package that just arrived. I have tried it before and did a hard pass, but thought I would post a quick review. I LOVE this just after application. WOW! It's so lovely and wonderful. After a few minutes something happens to it on me. It seriously TURNS into something just a little mildewy. It could be the Orris or the honey musk, not sure but what was glorious golden vanilla has gone bathroom pee-pee sour.

  23. This is probably a long-shot, but it's come up on the Facebook sales group for discussion lately:

Is there anything in the GC -- or even other LEs that are easier to find -- that is similar to Lucille Sharpe?

Pick up a decant of this years luper: Importune Me No More. Personally, I find it to be VERY similar to Lady Lucille after you get past the high-pitched jasmine start. I did a test with Importune on one arm and Lucille on the other and honestly, there is definitely something similar.

  24. Blush amber, wild carnation, French lavender, hay absolute, strawberry candyfloss, and vanilla cream.

Round Dance is very much like my beloved Alice, except she's frolicking in the hay with a big basket sugared berries. I get a bunch of herbal lavender notes up front that dry down creamy, carnation goodness. It's warm like flowers in the sunshine, pink and girly yet sexy. Sweet, spicy, creamy carnation, amber drydown, this dance is made of ruffles, white cakes and pink, spicy blossoms whirling around in the haymeadow

  25. Very well rounded and just a little bit creamy with the pearled peach standing out as the top note. The nectarine in the background gives it all a bit of squirt and keeps things fresh. I'm not getting very much Frankincense except as perhaps a tiny bit of resinous "silver" warmth. It's quite strong and I keep getting little peachy whiffs of it in the air.
Overall, it's girly and quite pretty, but for some reason, I seriously AMP Peach when it's in anything and I'm smelling just like peach potpourri or a candle, instead of the fresh peachy garden I want. It's just not working with my chemistry (cry)
