  1. Gorgeous bottle sniff, and just after application the honey amps quite a bit and verges on becoming soapy, but the tobacco and red musk come swooping in and make a fabulous red musk and smoky tobacco finish with a tiny bit of vanilla lace peaking through. It definitely works on me, but I can see the honey or tobacco amping on some, maybe they were naughty this year :werewolf:

  2. Strangely, this smells so much like The Antikythera Mechanism to me, that golden tobacco and wood at the start except with shaggy leather chaps. After a few minutes the leather amps and becomes most prominent taking this into completely new territory. Neither masculine or feminine, I can't stop thinking this is completely steampunk in tone, all black top hats and smoking cigars.

  3. Wowza, is this ever boozy like one of those nights after WAY too many gin and tonics. The bottle sniff is really good and enticing and then on the skin it goes all hard liquor on me. It's just a little bit refreshing, and I get no black leather britches which is fine by me. I could see wearing this in the summer time but you might need a designated driver.

  4. Fortunately, i've only been into a Yankee Candle store once, otherwise I suppose this Tulip candle that has been mentioned might spoil the experience. For me, bottle sniff and wet I was worried. There was an almost maple note that often times amps on me. After a few minutes, this transforms into a darkbrown sugaredwoods background, that gives the warm florals a glorious bassnote. I LOVE THIS!!!!!! WOWZA. It is extra sugary on me, all swimming around with the golden flower nectar makes me want to yodel in the Swiss mountain tops with Maria von Trapp.

  5. These white, dewy fruits are still on the tree. Green, sweet wet floral just after application, it's lush and bright and the apple is apparent, but perfectly blended with the juicy florals. The green note reminds me of the Wild Honeysuckle SN from a few months ago, which gives this an overall brightness like peeling plump, green apples on fluffy cloud day.

  6. Starts off with a bunch of sharp, sugary lavender with some creamy notes in the background. After a few minutes, it morphs into something like rich white chocolate and butter cookies sprinkled with lavender sugar. Its an interesting mix of delicate florals along with a creaminess and almost a rose in the finish. Something about it reminds me a bit of Alice after eating WAY too many cakes, burping on champagne and rolling down a lavender hill. It's alot of fun I think, and a very pretty and girly addition to Lilith's collection.

  7. This one was a MUST HAVE even before I read the notes. I have been fortunate enough to have spent much time in the D.F. In fact, it is my favorite place on earth. The people, the food, the celebration, the energy and the history all stole my heart. I am not certain I will ever return back to it, but I hold all sorts of amazing memories from my time there. The resins in Mummies takes me back to standing outside the Zocolo Cathedral. The shaman with their smoking urns and skulls chanting and healing.

Sweet and soft drifting ash, the frankincense glimmers like gold mixed with a laced vanilla. The woodiness really comes through after drydown, and it gets all soothing and sacred like just after the resins hit the sparking charcoal and you know the mummies down below are knocking bones cause it smells like a god's fuzzy blanket . This one is firmly imprinted in my scent memory and I keep longing for it. I must wrap myself in this beautiful shroud once again and again.

  8. What a work of art. This is so transformative and evocative of the theatre. All of the notes swirl together to become something greater and so elegant, it takes my breath away with its deeply complex perfection. The darkest, red velvet curtains filled with years of bombshell perfumes and glittering makeup, the heat of bodies and candles burning, cigarettes in holders and warm, gleaming woods. I purchased this to give as a gift, but I will be going back for one, maybe two for my house before the weenies come down.

  9. Wow, bottle sniff is all tar along with something I can only describe as 'grease monkey'. This is all butch-in-a-ballcap just after working under the hot engine. I don't get much amber and it just comes out gritty on my skin. I can see why this is beloved, mostly because it is so transformative, but its not even close to something I could ever wear because i'm amping all sorts of petroleum notes and longing for the resinous opoponax swirled amber. I wish I was tough enough to wear this, with undercut blue hair, destroyed boyfriend jeans and Baphomet t-shirt, but it's not meant to be.

  10. If you want to drape yourself in lux red velvet, this is for you. Resinous with precious woods turned sultry from the rose, it mellows out to a calming, addictive smell. Strong and mystical, something about it seems almost illicit, like a deep, dark secret waiting to be revealed. The three original Exquisite Corpse scents are a treasure to me indeed. Precious beyond words.

  11. Buttery red-velvet and a MOUNTAIN of smashed rainbow bubble gum balls.
This is a righteous party in a bottle. Tipped chairs, pinata smash and chewy gum mixed in the ice cream.
The finish is all musky red cake, melted candles and fuzzy confetti shakes.
    I might need a nap.

  12. Well, this takes me back to the deep snow of my childhood. Making snow ice cream with a sore throat sucking on a Halls. I never really perfected how to make snow ice cream, it always had too much vanilla extract or not enough cream.

  13. Resinous myrrh, dancing with a strong, mature red rose. I do get little wiffs of blood from it but its more juicy cherry than metallic. It is slightly clean smelling, almost soapy from the iris and a tiny drop of midnight dew. It improves for after the drydown. The resins warm up and give the florals a lovely sweetness that I can only describe as Dracula's kiss.

  14. The lavender is vanilla creamy and the coconut amps on me in the drydown. It's practically gourmand, I would love a coconut lavender desert like this. Like everyone has mentioned, this is TKO's coconut ice cream sister. I might try this at bed time and see how it compares to my usual TKO hit, but I would like this better as an atmo for my pillows and stuffie snuggles (maybe even my smelly dogs)

  15. Fear not, oudh haters. The oudh here is opulent and a softly wooded-foresty. I suspect it is what gives this fragrance its heart, and it is exquisite. I love this one. I slathered it on last night just before my husband arrived home, and when he hugged me hello, he couldn't stop smelling me and saying how I smelled good. I seldom get that reaction, even though i'm always scented. The amber here shines for me, and the orange blossom goes all candied with a warm, slightly spicy finish. I would say this is slightly oriental in tone, and one of Lilith's greatest hits for me this year.

  16. All dressed up riding in a limo filled with flowers.
Too many flowers for someone that is gone.
Flowers from the funerals i've been to.
Flowers where i'm sweaty from too many hugs and sorrow.
Touching the flowers, so I don't have to touch waxy skin.
The shiny caskets covered in flowers being lowered into loamy earth.
The flowers showing their brightest faces just before the decay sets in.
    These flowers give me dread.

  17. Oh dear, this one is everything I look for in a scent. Love at first sniff :thud:
Effervescent, complex and posh, this makes me feel sophisticated even in jeans and t-shirt.
It has a brilliance to it, a golden glimmer, like tiny champagne jewels sewn onto silver satin.
I am contemplating exactly how many bottles of this I need, because it is dreamy divine.
The most elegant creation I think Elizabeth has made so far.

  18. Fresh, watery herbal, very much like walking in a honeysuckle grove after a heavy rain.
Not as icy green as the Honeysuckle SN from a few months ago, the sage gives it a spicier, more earth tone. I am torn on whether I need another sun dappled honeysuckle, but this is certainly different, and a little bottle of flower floating, unicorn stomping happiness.

  19. Goes on all red licorice but settles down fast into soft, red spun sugar.
Not really complex enough to hold my interest, but it is ruby candy sweet.
After a few minutes, I have to get really up close to even smell it.
I just upgraded to a bottle of this because it really is a gorgeous, candy smell and I want to slather.

  20. I had to put on a bit of Banshee Beat this morning to do a comparison, because these two are certain relatives. The patch in both is undeniably the same. A lot of people will probably shimmy right past this one because of the pine note, but fear not adventurous collectors! After the initial blast of sticky, almond forest, it smooths over and gets blanketed by the exotic vanilla patch. It actually dries down with more sweet, delicate vanilla than BB and I would call this a clean, 'upscale' hippie in comparison.

  21. Well, bite me on the neck and call me Lucy, this is so pretty. At the start, I get a purple chewing gum smell until the woodsy, dark patch begins to crawl in. It's a little vampire blowing bubbles! The plum and musk are upfront, along with purple patchouli and little wiffs of sweetness. After a few minutes, it gets deeper and rounder and the blood musk comes out. Sparkling, and just a bit spicy. After a few minutes, the bourbon vanilla smooths its way in for the finish, and i'm getting a very classy, romantic and seductive scent.

  22. Our friend, Lee Moyer, asked if Lilith could be a model for an illustration of Wednesday Addams that he was working on. They wanted a photo of her in a lab and of course I jumped at the chance to take a photo of my baby. I grabbed my camera and we set up a little table. We had so much fun decorating the table. Lilith was running around grabbing things and saying, “Can we use this? Can we use that?” Luckily for her, there’s no shortage of creepy things scattered around her house.

A little kid’s interpretation of a gothy goth perfume: sugared clove and vanilla patchouli with cacao, dried Avignon rose petals, and a bit of black cherry.

Ahhhh, sugar crusted spices all swimming around in creamy, dreamy perfect patch. The beautiful clove is the top note, along with heavenly vanilla and the fizzy cherry notes, this verges on being gourmand in a candied way. The rose is dry and delicately entwines with the heavier dark notes, this is so pretty and youthful for a spiced fragrance. I seriously love sugared scents, and Wednesday hits my sweet spots just right. I can also see this becoming even more glorious in a few months as the cherry note deepens with the rose, and it really is a happy shoegazer girly version of Goth Queen to me.

  23. Mabel is mysterious in a way, the opening is long, like a multi-dimensional opera of all the beautiful notes. It is exceedingly elegant, all the woods, luxurious ambergris and delicate rose amber coming together in haunting seduction. It transports me to a room filled with shining antiques, melancholy romance and all nice things, beautifully scented ladies and vintage perfume salons. The chypre keeps the amber in check, and it never leans powdery and continues to glow. It is wistful, uniquely magical and a MUST HAVE.

  24. If the Green Fairy had a scent, it would be this! This is a very clean, refreshingly cold scent. It reminds me of honeysuckle within a dewy, flower-filled green field, sparkling with tiny raindrops on creamy petals. What a wonderful, true honeysuckle smell, but i'm also getting green notes of I think melon rind, crushed vine and perhaps a bit of musk. I can't wait to wear it in the winter months to come, it will certainly complement chilly, rainy yet bright days and bring much beauty.
