  1. This is so pretty and sweet, the plum blossom is divine and a harbinger of spring. The floral combo here is like a bright dewy morning in a formal garden, all gorgeous with smiling flower faces and filled with promise. For me, it is beautifully sweet but not cloying and just so classic and pretty. I'm going to go wild using this all over my pillows and sheets, it's very fresh and atmospheric in tone, and an overall mood lifter. Just a little bottle of pure happiness.

  2. All of the notes are very well blended, and I would say the cedar comes out as the top note. I can't really detect much of the cherry blossom, other than it giving a kind of floral whiff. In the drydown, the clove note makes the whole thing lean a little into xmas candle territory for me, so it's going into the box until after summer. Hopefully the tea comes out more and the tonka bean smooths things over. I have let atmos age to where they are perfect depending upon my mood and the time of year.

  3. This takes me to a roomful of huge, white honey, creamy candles all drippy with flickering flames making heat. Not sure why I waited so long to pick this one up, but i'm so glad I grabbed it before lupers came down. I have several other beeswax scents, but the addition of patchouli here makes it earthy and just a little bit chewy with a tiny wiff of smoke. This has all the floral subtleties of expensive honey, alongside the muskiness of the waxy comb combined with sticky vanilla patch. Dare I say, something about this seriously reminds me of Banshee Beat. Of course, BB is heavier on the patch, but the wax and patch combo is reminiscent of the BB vanilla patch. So cozy and warm, it smells like toe curling ecstasy~ YES YES YES!

  4. I'm dead. I've been trying to hustle a bottle of this for eternity and a day. I was certain I would never experience it, so I combed reviews, trying to find something similar, getting an empty sniffy bottle in a package, never really coming close. When the latest release happened, I went into a panic, fighting the lab's server to finally get Eve.
Now that it is here, it is EVERYTHING I thought it would be and then some. The saffron is luminous next to the warm sandalwood. I'm almost getting something like opulent brocade fabric from it. A shining shroud that has been worn in tombs filled with thick blankets of incense smoke and long faded bouquets. The wet moss adds an earthiness, like some precious object that has been buried for centuries within the hollowed out earth. Flesh turned to cold marbled stone on the slab. The comfortable solitude of an empty synagogue, and the heavy scent of old wood and incense. I can assure you, I will be loving each and every wearing of this magical incense creation as it takes me through the cobblestone streets, with its haunting music and intimate hunger.

  5. This is my favorite C2E2 this year. It's a whirling, symphony of bay rum? I'm also getting a hefty dose of gorgeous amber, opulent and divine, illuminating the notes. It smells exotic, sophisticated and expensive. It has a certain deep vanilla-oak, creamy note in the background that catapults it into extraordinary territory for me. It's like unisex darkness in a bottle, woods and incense smoke, couture perfumes, and rich cologne that is so alluring. This reminds me of a woodsy boutique, lined with bottles filled with luxurious scents, velvet sofas and leather goods. I can't stop sinking my nose into it to explore. In the same family as Haloes and The Golden Hour.

  6. This is a fantastic fragrance! Yummy apple effervescence at first, the fruit is sweet and very fresh giving it an exuberance. As the amber and tobacco move forward, the whole thing becomes creamy and very smooth. Something about it reminds me of old Hollywood: the glamorous showgirls, swooping spotlights and oh, so elegant divas wearing perfume filled with magic notes and dreams. This is an absolute delight for me to wear and smell, perfect for a summer weekend in the city, shopping the quaint boutiques and art galleries. So grateful to my fairy for picking this cosmopolitan treasure up for me.

  7. Turkish rose, gilded amber, apricot, and dark honey musk.

This is bawdy! The honey musk is animalic to my nose with raw, ripe human smells. Really, this is like you just made love after camping for days with all the smells lingering in the air. After drydown, as the amber base appears, Ada really transforms into something quite niche and precious with its exotic rose in full bloom against the thick, honeyed apricot. It's like you and your girl have gone your separate ways, and hours later you can still smell her sweet apricot perfume on your skin.

  8. 2018 release

The look and design of the post's candles, black glass, scroll labels and creamy dreamy white wax makes me weak. When these came out I knew I had to swoop in for one. Experiencing that cool vanilla Snow White sweetness filling my room called to me.

The cold wax is so lovely, it glows like the cold moon on a velvety black night and the upclose scent is just like holding your nose over an open bottle. Shiver~shiver. These are beautifully crafted candles, the wick perfectly trimmed and centered, thick glassed, impeccably poured - they are luxe.

**Editing to say that the throw is really pretty good. I moved it back into my large, living room/dining room and wow! I can smell it throughout the room. Vanilla Snow!!!!! I think it needs to burn for a few hours until the wax gets completely warm. I’m so happy I snagged one of these and plan to collect another one someday. Fingers crossed and candle wishing that Puddin will do a second, warm weather round.

  9. This starts out smelling like walking through a grass lined fairway, surrounded by fig trees heavy with fat, green fruit. Something about this seriously reminds me of teeing off, the golf cart loaded down with boozy cocktails and sticky cigars. After a few minutes the rue comes out. YES I have grown alot of rue in my herb patch, so I'm familiar with its scent and the sort of magic it does. It is mostly a base note here which adds an overall 'wildness' to the blend, and dare I say 'witchyness' :werewolf: The drydown deepens and the tobacco lace unfolds for the finish, while the grassy figs soften and glisten in the background. This is a gorgeous addition to the lace collection.

  10. I've been living in Texas for many a year, and the yellow rose is a favorite of mine, with a face like the sun and a fragrance like honey bees making love to flowers. This is a fully opened yellow rose, made of warm, creamy vanilla with whiffs of glittering frankincense in the background. None of the notes dominate on my skin, each one rises to the top becoming a delicious, decadent scent. The rose never goes powdery or soapy, but remains rich and flowery. The exquisite vanilla frankincense really is the star here, and mellows into blond-caramel deepness which accents the glowing rose perfectly. I can't wait to wear this in the South Texas heat. It's a perfectly simple blend that truly blossoms and becomes something elegant and intoxicating.

  11. My bottle has a hand drawn unicorn head and stars. So cute! Thank you Lilith :bunnyluv:
YUM bottle sniff!!!! TONS of bubblegum at the start with fizzy blueberries and glittery sugar sparkles.
It's just a little tart and acidic just after application, but that settles down quickly.
After a few minutes, the vanilla steps up and balances out the sweet notes, turning this into creamy dreamy blueberry moon.

This is fabulous! It does fade pretty quickly, but becomes a lovely, sweet skin scent after an hour or so.

  12. The Kahun papyrus, authored in ancient Egypt, described a “fallen womb”; essentially, it was believed that a woman’s uterus – due to the frustrations of abstinence or chastity - could dislocate itself and travel throughout the body, causing distress, mental illness, disease, and infirmity:

"When her womb moves towards her liver, she suddenly loses her voice and her teeth chatter and her colouring turns dark. This condition can occur suddenly, while she is in good health. The problem particularly affects old maids and widows-young women who have been widowed after having had children."

    The solution?

"You should fumigate her under her nose, burning some wool and adding to the fire some asphalt, castoreum, sulfur and pitch. Rub her groin and the interior of her thighs with a very sweet-smelling unguent."

Of course, the condition was sometimes far more dire, and required more strenuous measures:

"If her womb moves towards her hips, her periods stop coming, and pain develops in her lower stomach and abdomen. If you touch her with your finger, you will see the mouth of the womb turned towards her hip.

"When this condition occurs, wash the woman with warm water, make her eat as much garlic as she can, and have her drink undiluted sheep's milk after her meals. Then fumigate her and give her a laxative. After the laxative has taken effect, fumigate the womb once again, using a preparation of fennel and wormwood mixed together. Right after the fumigation, pull the mouth of the womb with your finger. Then insert a pessary made with squills; leave it in for a while, and then insert a pessary made with opium poppies. If you think the condition has been corrected, insert a pessary of bitter almond oil, and on the next day, a pessary of rose perfume. She should stop inserting pessaries on the first day of her period, and start again the day after it stops. The blood during the period provides a normal interruption. If there is no flow, she should drink four cantharid beetle with their legs, wings and heads removed, four dark peony seeds, cuttlefish eggs, and a little parsley seed in wine. If she has a pain and irregular flow, she should sit in warm water, and drink honey mixed with water. If she is not cured by the first procedure, she should drink it again, until her period comes. When it comes, she should abstain from food and have intercourse with her husband. During her period she should eat mercury plant, and boiled squid, and keep to soft foods. If she becomes pregnant she will be cured of this disease..."

    Plato chimes in:

"Hence it is that in men the privy member is disobedient and self-willed, like a creature that will not listen to reason, and because of frenzied appetite [is] bent upon carrying all before it. In women again, for the same reason, what is called the mat or womb, a living creature within them with a desire for child-bearing, if it be left lo unfruitful beyond the due season, is vexed and aggrieved, and wandering through the body and blocking the channels of the breath, by forbidding respiration brings sufferer to extreme distress and causes all manner of disorders; until at last the Eros of the one and the Desire of the other bring the pair together, pluck as it we the fruit from the tree and sow the ploughland of the womb with living creatures still unformed and too small to be seen…"

Now, we make no claims that this perfume has any medical or recuperative powers whatsoever, but if you’d like to experience the scents of a bit of Egyptian medicine, we’ve got the cure for what ails you: an incense of cassia and myrrh with opium tar accord, peony seed, honey water, a pinch of pitch, the smoke of burning wool, a handful of dried squill petals, castoreum accord, and pessaries of rose perfume and bitter almond oil.

This is the QUEEN of soft goth nostalgia. Upon application, the almond and rose are upfront and center. I'm really loving how the resins are mingling with the dark rose. Mother's scent, childhood memories and just a little bit old fashioned. This is a warm, vintage fragrance that is subtle, yet still noticeable and melts with my own natural scent perfectly. It really smells cheery, but becomes something deeper, smoky and herbal after drydown. I can imagine myself in a Lolita sundress, eating strawberries in the forest, braiding each other's hair and breathing in perfumed air.

  13. LOTS of fluffy rosey cotton candy for me. Makes me think this could really be a super yummy thing to eat and now I must seek out someplace that might be making rose cotton candy because I would happily rot my teeth gorging on it. The rose is very UPFRONT and center, but here it's youthful without going powdery or soapy. It creates a delicious throw, i'm getting whiffs of rose and then so much fluffy cotton sweetness. My skin tends to amp sugar so that could be why the sugar notes are really standing out. This is INTOXICATING like a first crush, and the thrill of fuzzy fur wrapped around wrists and roses between teeth

  14. Ufff this is so nice. I'm getting all the sweet, smoky vanilla woods mixing around with the amber and musky ambrette. It reminds me a bit of rich, expensive milled soap but not in a bad way. After the drydown, it has alot of the deepness that is oh so good about Mabel, maybe it is the same amber in this one. Something about this smells like a sacred place, dark den and secret with golden smoke and shining wood surfaces. It just smells luxurious and oh, so sultry. Take me now~

Editing to mention how much I adore the name for this one. Everytime I think of it I get a visual picture :P

  15. This is going to be super popular, but I absolutely cannot wear this!
It's WAY over the edge foody floppy waffle with dollops of butter and syrup nope.
Completely butterscotch and thick cream with a great big splotch of nutty caramel sugar.
It's also super strong like a yankee candle and makes me a little bit queasy.
I've already sent along my bottle and baby to a new home that is noshing on it right now in a sugar cloud stupor.

  16. Rabbit Rabbit White Rabbit! Fresh, white tea, this smells like something straight out of Mad Tea Party. The orchid is soft and swimming with the vanilla and honey, I swear i've gone through the looking glass into a land of pink cakes and jumping bunnies. I'm not sure which bunny is being caressed, but i'm tempted to say it wears a top hat.

  17. White and pearly, I'm not sure how to describe it but it does smell like white and smooth just after application. The mahogany is gentle and gleaming in the background, giving it a warmth and deepness. I'm also getting a very slight floral note that floats to the top and gives the whole thing a beautiful airy sweetness like velvety blossoms fluttering along wooded shutters, pure and transient. Soft and sensual, it makes me feel like i'm wearing expensive silk lingerie and fluttering in feathers. Simply gorgeous and very different.

  18. I adore Snake Oil, and variations of it, especially Womb Fury so I HAD to have this one. It reminds me of Silkybat with Snake Oil as a base instead of Patchouli, along with sugary vanilla cream. I'm getting yummy lemon sugar with my old love Snake in the background, all spicy and almost like a spun sugar. The lemon note stays pretty close to the skin, and fades back after drydown. The overall throw is almost a sweet grape wine note along with a wispy, cottony sugarfluff that is so warm, comforting and makes this unique. After wearing for 30 minutes, this is simply delish! It smells like straight up sugary frosting on me NOMNOM

  19. This takes me into the springtime field lined with happy faced flowers, wafting butterflies and blushing cheeks. Very elegant and refined, the vanilla is light and slightly sweet, drying down to a creamy skin scent that reminds me a bit of sugary marshmallows. The florals balance out the vanilla nicely, giving it a bit of air. This is a gorgeous, simple, versatile fragrance with just a bit of veiled innocence. Perfect for snuggling up with your lover (or yourself).

  20. This one is a standout for me and smells like everything that is good and right in the world. Creamy rich and warm, the rice milk here is perfectly blended with a tang of red currant. The myrrh, amber and vetiver are all grounding and really give this a beautifully sensuous tone like blushing, young romance. It's very much like the sticky rice desserts with a dollop of sticky, currant jam in the middle. I'm getting something a bit like blond sugar in the background but it doesn't take this into gourmand territory. It's not a sickly sweet fragrance, with the earthy tones rounding everything out and adding an overall "fresh air and nectar" overtone that doesn't go soapy. For days when I want a lighter fragrance and will be very refreshing in the heat. It's a very relaxing smell to me. Beautiful.

  21. I get alot of juniper up front. It's a sugared gin to me, mixed with a gorgeous vanilla sandalwood. The rich, supple leather note really comes out after dry-down, along with the chewy, golden patchouli. Smells like an upscale saddle shop to me, the kind with supple, hand stitched leather goods and handmade guayaberas. Couture cowgirl in a Ralph Lauren pantsuit, I have to big bottle this one. My favorite Fortuna!

  22. Not sure what happened with my bottle, but this was straight up Snow White on me.
I kept waiting around for the spicy snake oil to show up but it was all fairy land and forest.
Tested it against my bottle of Snow White and they are pretty much identical.

  23. This reminds me of Planet K, a local head shop that's been around forever. They were always burning strawberry incense and it smelled so much like this, red, smoky and light hearted. It's really sugared and I get a tiny bit of myrrh in there, adding a bit of resinous base. Bright, girly and pretty, and so much like the 'poof' that comes out of a red candy bag just when you open it.

  24. Sugared crystal lemon comes out for me, floating to the top from Dorian's lavender white tea. It almost makes my mouth water its so tart. For some reason Kumiho comes to mind and I wore that everyday a decade ago. I'm also getting Antique Lace and a delicate spice in the background. Really, the lavender here is the star of the show. It literally sparkles and glistens and pushes this into AMAZING UNICORN territory. This has certainly become my new scent obsession and somebody just grabbed 2 backup bottles.
