  1. DCLXXIV (674)

This starts off creamy, sweet, and with the tiniest hint of what may be a floral note - the floral note fades super fast - and it turns into a creamy, candy-ish sweet scent with a hint of grapefruit. It reminds me of a softer candy-like version of Channikah - it's really a fun, fizzy summer or spring scent! I can't stop smelling my wrists, because it seems so familiar.

  2. When I thought spicy and sweet - Opuhi immediately came to mind but may be too subtle for you - it's a really fun twist on a spicy scent - lighter and more playful.

Opuhi: Ginger blossom and vanilla orchid (I hate flowers - don't let them scare you on this one! hehe) Just msg me if you want to try it - and I'll send you a vial with a few drops in it - so you can see if you like it.

    Also (seconding Shub!):

Port-Au-Prince: Dark, decadent and incomparably exotic: the rich scent of buttered rum flavored with almond, bay, clove and sassafras. This is not foody per se - but it does go kind of warm exotic spice on me - worth one try at least!

Salome: A scent that is both coquettish and sinister. Exotic and lush, brimming with grace and viciousness: almond with star jasmine, oakmoss, red sandalwood and Egyptian musk (very different than description - worth a try)

Shub-Niggurath: The lust incense of a corrupted Astarte. A blend of ritual herbs and dark resins, shot through with three gingers and aphrodisiacal spices. (It's like Gingerbread's Poppet's naughty sister...grin)

I also agree that you may like Chimera or Plunder. Some LE's:

Pickled Imp: Cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and pine sap. I found that the vanilla was not predominant, more warming - but you'll have to see what it does on your skin.

Diwali: Lotus root, mogra, mango, tamarind, cardamom, clove, almond milk, cashew, rice flower, coconut, supari, raisins, and incense crafted from aloeswood, red sandalwood, cedar, and spikenard. I adore this one - but it's very very subtle! So, it may not be spicy enough :P

El Amor y La Muerte (retail salon): Clove, red sandalwood, orris, rose, opoponax, benzoin, and patchouli. This is one of the dirtiest, spicy scents that I've ever liked and worn - which is saying a lot for me.

  3. Damn. I love this one. I knew I would.

It's a light, airy, fruity scent - I mainly get strawberry - but there's definitely a fizziness - it's so awesome that she captured a fizzy candy scent! It has a deeper sugar undertone along with the fizziness - a sugary/carmelized base. This is the most fun scent! Never fear, sweet-scent dislikers! The sweetness is held in check as it settles onto my skin by a warm mashmallow note.

Rating: 2 bottle worthy, at least, as it is fading faster than I wanted it to and I slathered it on!

  4. A generous soul gifted me with a tester of Orange. In the vial and upon initial application - in your face, gorgeous, juicy orange! It's as if I just ate an orange and ended up with the citrusy pulp and stickiness all over my fingers. Upon drydown, it's more of a soft floral orange - still maintaining a hint of an orange's bite - but evolving into a multi-dimensional scent as a softness peeks out - adding creamy and musky notes into the blend. I had thought this scent would be like a single note of orange - but it's so much more!

    It's gorgeous :P

  5. I get almost all tart cranberry - almost a grapey note - I keep waiting for the spices to come out, but alas, they aren't coming out to play. This reminds me of Bordello (maybe a distant, more conservative cousin) - the floral note is just lurking far enough in the background to not make me go wash it off - I had wished that the spices would play more. It's very subtle and while I don't hate it - I don't think I love it either.

  6. Ginger blossom and vanilla orchid.

If you like Leo 2007, Opuhi is its innocent and sweet cousin. I was afraid to purchase this because of the floral notes - but I'm so glad that I didn't pass this by! When you first apply this scent, it seems slightly overwhelming - but the drydown is fast - then it becomes a mellow, sweet, creamy scent to die for - I get sweet delicate vanilla with just a tiny bit of spice from the ginger - gorgeous!

  7. This is so strong when you first smell it! If you're worried about a wintergreeny bubblegum type smell, this is totally not it - it's a sophisicated wintergreen scent and much more unique than I expected. I smell eucalyptus, spearmint, peppermint, and a faint breath of some type of slighty spicy floral note. It's not a scent that I would typically choose for myself, but it's so amazingly layered that I can't stop sniffing at my wrists and it is surprisingly soothing for something so "vivid."

  8. This was the first Tiki blend that I have tried, and I adore this scent! I was dying to try this because of the blueberry note. I get a creamy blueberry bubblegum scent on my skin whose sweetness is quickly held in check and grounded by the gin and lemon notes providing a citrus and tart back-drop - my nose picks up the papaya sitting in the background but it's the note that is the hardest to detect in this blend. I'm already in the mood for summer wearing this and may want a second bottle - because, while it's beautiful on me, it doesn't last as long as most bpal scents on my skin.

  9. Fun fun fun - if you're on the fence on foodie scents - this is a sophisicated one! Right when I applied it, I smelled citrus and cream - orange creamsicles came to mind, Crumpet's pastry note came to mind, and Treat 2 came to mind. As it dries, the other layers emerge and it gets a grown-up spiciness - I love this and am so glad that I nabbed 2 bottles :D My only sadness is that the scent fades really quickly on my skin, so this would have to be a slathered scent on me :P

  10. This is a sophisticated, slighty dark, incensey, smoky vanilla - it's just gorgeous. I would sum this up as a "dirty vanilla" but in the good way (hehe). The notes are blended so skillfully, that it is very difficult to detect individual notes - they all just blend together to make a smooth, smokey, slightly sweet scent that is incredibly sexy. I'm not a floral person and was a bit timid due to some of the notes - but this is just gorgeous.

  11. When you smell this in the bottle, it smells like pure candy and bakery - don't let that fool you though :P At first when I put it on, I got all cheesecake - and I was like, yay, Beaver Moon - but then the spicy came up and the carrot note - and then I hated it for about 20 minutes - it smelled like a very cheap candle. I was already going through things in my head that I could swap it for (hehe)

30 minutes later...content sigh...now it's all warm and creamy with just a hint of exotic spice. Foodies and non-foodies could find something here :D

  12. I was wondering if, like me, anyone else has specific blends they're trying to find.

    I'm looking for:

the ultimate honey + a hint of earthiness blend (like Honeymoon that won't cost me an arm, leg, and another leg...hehe)

the ultimate sweet snow blend with no pine whatsoever - I have snow and creamy blends but I want snow and something sweet - like sugar, tiniest hint of lime or citrus

the ultimate blend that smells like Fee but that won't cost me the above limbs (hehe)

    :P

  13. Valentine's Day - that's all I can think about when I smell this - chocoate-covered cherries and flowers - and then just a tinge of something spicy - the proper ingredients for any V-Day :P This one is a winner - and I never thought I'd like it based on the description. On my bottle list.
