    Shadow Lace

This is beautiful! The standout note is the rich plum. The other notes all there, but making a complex background for the plum. It is dark, perfumey and has a complex drydown.

    Schiachperchten

Opens with chocolate, but this is mostly a green cardamom perfume, with barely a hint of pepper. Simple, but very pretty and easy to wear.

    Gingerbread Tobacco

This is a gorgeous, rich tobacco. The gingerbread says hello at the beginning and exits. If you love tobacco and missed some of the other BPAL tobacco classics, this is for you! (And me!)

    Black Hellebore - Resurrected

These long-dead scents are back for a limited time in a slightly tweaked form! Also called Melampode. In witchcraft legend, this is one of the components of the notorious flying ointment, and is used in rituals that summon the Devil. In Greek mythology, Melampus of Pylos used hellebore to save the daughters of the king of Argos from a Dionysian Maenad-like madness. In Christian myth, hellebore was born from the tears a little girl shed onto the snow because she had no gift to give to the Christ child. In low magick, it has been used by farmers to protect their livestock from the evil eye. Court magicians have used it in martial invisibility spells, enabling spies and assassins to infiltrate enemy camps. Hellebore resembles the wild rose, but does not belong to their family. The scent is a pale green herbal, darkly rooty, with a faint rose and peony-like overtone. Borage and hellebore fill two scenes, Sovereign plants to purge the veins Of melancholy, and cheer the heart Of those black fumes which make it smart. I did not smell the original. This starts off with a dirt-note entrance, followed almost immediately by green notes. Very soon light pure magic florals make their entrace. The rose is more a suggestion than a full-on bloom. There is another floral I cannot identify which must be the peony. I detect nuances of spice (like the spiciness of a carnation) and extremely light incense. I would have liked the earthy entrance to have stayed a while longer, but overall this is a beautiful fragrance.

    Skyborn

Lovely, ethereal soft lavender musk, but way too light for me.

    Pumpkin S'mores Hair Gloss

Oh, my goodness...the S'more part of this is so true to life!! There is really a note for graham cracker?! I guess so, as it can be clearly identified, along with marshmallow and chocolate. I barely get pumpkin after the first whiff. A fun scent, great for foodies.

    Rocky Mountain Goats Hair Gloss

Absolutely LOVE all the scents in here....sage, pine, fir. It would be my ideal hair gloss except it does not last very long. (Hopefully this is not a metaphor for the Rocky Mountain Goat which I believe is a threatened species.)

Dead Leaves, Opium Tar, and Nutmeg Hair Gloss

This is very strong in the Dead Leaves note on me. I get light whiffs of opium and nutmeg, but if I didn't know they were there, I would think think this is pure dead leaves, which I like. Long lasting and decent thought. Mmmm!

It Was Folly to Grieve, or to Think

This is exactly as I had expected- a wonderful champagne of fizzy flowery ginger. I don't know what the crushed diamonds are supposed to be and can't pick them out. My favorite ever champagne is Champagne Lace, but this is also quite lovely.

    Ghoulish Hair Gloss

This does have a yummy quality to it with the amaretto and cherries, which are more fruity than candied. The coconut is just a pleasant hint, but I can't pick out the saffron at all, which was the reason I went for it. I have to agree with Mizliz that it is not the longest lasting of glosses.

    L’Hyver

Jean Audran Grey amber and elemi, white cypress, shadowed musk, guiac, labdanum, and black ti leaf. First application on skin, I get the lovely labdanum with a light quality. However, the perfume darkens and I swear I get a licorice note (nope, not listed). From there, it morphs into a swirl of light musk. On me, a skin scent. A bit confusing, but pleasant.

    An Encampment of Shepherds

This is another big blind bottle win of the season. The rose tobacco is gorgeous! The other (beloved) rose tobacco scent I have is La Pierreuse which is more full on rose scent. In this one, the rose is more a background player, but certainly there. The oude is light and clay adds a softness. The main player on my skin is the beautiful tobacco. Mmmm!

Two Sheep and Two Goats Resting Together in a Field

This is the blind bottle win of the season. Very first sniff on the skin, I am put off by what almost reminds me of yak butter. However, in just seconds, I feel like am surrounded by a herd sheep and goats who were rolling in vanilla beans. I have been surrounded by sheep and goats in Mongolia and do love that earthy smell. I wore this at least five times and have tried to pick out the smokiness people have mentioned. Yes, a bit. The vetiver is smooth. I love this. Mega cuddly.

    The Violet Window Hair Gloss

Oh, boy, this is as beautiful as I hoped! It is a more traditional perfumey plum, as opposed to fruity, and a powdery violet is definitely present, to my delight. The oude adds deepness and as others mentioned, is not barnyard.

    The Orange Window Hair Gloss

The orange and mandarin are up front in this, with the honey giving it some light sweetness. Deciding whether or not to get a full bottle. It does not project much after ther serious first in your face blast, but I can smell the orangey-ness when I bury my nose in my hair. It's pretty and would layer well with other glosses like Antique Lace for a creamsicle effect.

    Samhain Pyre Hair Gloss

Hmm. I am curious reading all the reviews, as we seem to have such varying impressions. First sniff, I get dead leaves with an intriguing almost reefer smell which sadly does not last long enough. I get no smoke or incense, but a pretty, light scent.
  17. Minh Scent

    Dens of Sin Hair Gloss

Whoa, this is aging just beautifully! Gorgeous perfumey tobacco with oak and sweetened with bourbon.
  18. Minh Scent

    Meditation Buddy

I get all of the notes listed, with an emphasis on the wax, to my delight. Although it is a lighter scent, it is quite long lasting. It is indeed a good perfume for meditation or just to be in a calm sweet spot. Lovely! ETA Feb 23, 2019 Wow! After four months this has gone from lovely to gorgeous! It actually seems stronger, the wax and vanilla deeper, the salt more apparent. The orange and rose are always such a winning combination!

    Young Edith's Bedroom

Basically this is a gardenia and wax scent on me. Mmmm! Both these notes start out strong, with the wax backing down first. There are some woody and vanilla notes paying around in here as well. It makes for a very pretty, sexy perfume. (I did not see the movie, but if this is Edith in her youth, she is gonna be one hot mamma!)
  20. Minh Scent

    Lucille's Room

This starts out with strong liac and a fougere vibe to it from the oakmoss and violet leaf. It also has a distinct vanilla vibe to it from the amber on the drydown, with the play of the lily coming from behind the lilac. It is an elegant perfume.
  21. Minh Scent

    Anise Swallowtail Caterpillar Hair Gloss

This is in the broad family of Black Cardamon Vanilla and Love Swing. It is a creamy vanilla cardamon. I cannot pick up much anise (which I was after), but it is still a lovely scent.
  22. Minh Scent

    Cabbage White Caterpillar Hair Gloss

Whoa...I smell something edible from my children but it is definitely not Trix or Fruit Loops cereal, as I never smelled those. Now, Hmm. Those lemon cream marshmallow cookies? Anyways, to my nose, this is a strong lemon marshmallow scent. I am not getting mint, although I suspect it is there, because the sweetness is tempered. If I were the script writer, I would change the description to "!Marshmallow lemon sugar with a drop of mint." Contemplating a full bottle. Very pretty!
  23. Minh Scent

Violet & Green Tea Hair Gloss

This starts with a dry violet entrance, with the green tea taking over quickly after that. The violet is quite light and the scent is all about the green tea. This reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea perfume. A clean, fresh scent that would be office friendly.
  24. Minh Scent

    Dance of Death

I just got into my imp of this and absolutely love it! Beautiful long lasting powdery orris supported by rich resins.

    Bluebeard - Resurrected

These long-dead scents are back for a limited time in a slightly tweaked form! A scent swirling with dark rage, unbridled jealousy, and murderous intent. Violet, lavender, white musk and vetiver. (I did not smell original.) This starts out so powerful and sharp, for a moment I thought I mistakenly ordered a eucalyptus scent. It is a very strong lavender that receeds quite quickly into a softer violet with a hint of musk and vetiver. Short lived, low throw except for entrance.
