    Red Devil

I received Red Devil as free imp with my Christmas bpal order, and since the boy and I were snowed in last night it seemed like the perfect time to try it out... In the imp, this smells like a red fruit rollup to me, but I put it on anyway, for science Wet on my skin, I got clouds of floral notes along with a really spicy smell, maybe cinnamon? Whatever it was, it was strong, and changing rapidly. I sat down next to my guy and he was all over me immediately and asking what the smell was. Things were going really well until...I had the worst allergic reaction to this oil than I have ever had with a perfume! I applied it to my wrists, the crooks of my elbows and behind my ears, and after 5 minutes of wearing Red Devil I had giant itchy welts in all of these places, and to top it off a pounding headache that didn't go away for the next three hours. It makes me so sad that I reacted that way because this is an amazing, powerful scent, and it definitely did its job! Oh well!

    Pink Snowballs

A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging! Yay my first Yule review! In the bottle: I can totally smell both the rose and vanilla, and a little pit of delicious sugar holding everything together. Mmmmm! It smells amazing and sweet and pink (obviously). Everything is very muted though, the rose and vanilla are both meek and shimmery. A few minutes after I put this on, I start to smell what I think are rose leaves and stems. The scent is a little bit green, and kinda earthy. Two hours later, all I can smell is dirty snow. Ugh. It's remarkable how much this smells like grey slush after it's been melting for a few days. It just isn't a very pretty smell on my skin. Also, this one doesn't last too long on me, and there is very little throw. Still, it's so pretty in the bottle, I'm going to give it another try in a few days and then see if I can turn it into a candle or mix it into some soap if it still doesn't work on me. Oh well!

A World Where There Are Octobers

This is one of the best things I've ever smelled! Seriously. I opened right when it arrived, and the smell in the bottle was a little strange: sharp green notes with maple sugar underneath. When I first put it on, it smelled like spicy maple sugar with an undertone of that green smell (the autumn leaves I think). Over the day, the scent dried down into this wonderful, spicy woods smell. I was a bit sorry that the leaves disappeared, but what remained just made me think of hiking on warm October days. Wonderful!
