    Hunter Moon 2004

I tried Hunter Moon once when I got it, and couldn't remember it at all, so I tried this again today. Sadly, it doesn't work at all on me. For the first 15 minutes, I couldn't smell it *at all*--I even re-applied. Then, a scent did come out, but sadly nothing like the description. It must be the animalistic scents, which often don't work on me....this is just kind of dark, damp, leaves with a little smoke and a weird sweetness. It's also giving me a headache and making me feel anxious and unsettled. I've never had quite this reaction to an oil before--I don't think I can even wait awhile for the drydown to see if it changes. I'm disappointed, because it sounds like this really works on some the way I wanted it to work on me. Off to wash this off and then to post this for swap.....

How to make a paypal order.

Well, it's in my Paypal account, so I'll just assume it's okay then. Thanks everyone for all your help!

How to make a paypal order.

Resurrecting this thread to ask--I placed an order late Friday night for Cold Moon and some imps (pre-deadline). I did get my Paypal email saying the Lab got my payment, but I didn't get the Lab's autoresponder saying they've gotten my order. I still haven't gotten it, and it's not in my spam folder or anything. Should I be concerned (i.e. should I forward the Paypal email to the Lab)? I've always gotten the autorespond email since they started doing it. I don't want to bother the Lab with more email unless it's necessary! Thanks!

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

I got huge, burning welts wherever I applied All Night Long. I had to swap it away, because it was just too painful. I tried Hamadryad yesterday, and it made my skin a bit red where I wore it, but that went away eventually. It wasn't as bad as the All Night Long. Does anyone know if there's cinnamon in that as well?

    Chaos Theory

I have Chaos Theory No. VII. I can't pick out the notes but it's lovely and spicy and creamy. At first it reminded me of Snow White, but heavier. Then it reminded me of Snake Oil, but lighter. Kind of like if you mixed those two, but not exactly, maybe. (Can I be any more vague??) I think maybe there's vanilla in it. Minboy sniffed my arm and thought there was chocolate in it and I think he might be right. It's just really well-blended--I can't pick out the notes and they mesh together really well. It blends into my skin like it's part of me, which is something that all my favorite scents have in common. It's definitely delicate and feminine, but with a hint of something mysterious or sexy underneath. I think I'll be wearing this often. The concept is a brilliant idea.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

I actually ordered this more because of the inspiration than because I thought I'd like the scent. But it's beautiful. It reminded me a bit of pineapple, oddly enough, but cleaner and less sweet, with a bit of a creamy hint. If it was a color, it would be golden. But it made me think of Jerusalem and golden limestone and very old places. In the bottle it smells like eculyptus or pine, something sharp and acidic, and again the pineapple note. I just put on a bit to try it out, so I can't give a complete review, but this is a really neat one.

    Email, posts and such.

Hi Beth--I'm so sorry to bug you--but I sent a PM a month ago (march 10) with some questions about scents. I'd like to place my next order (now that I've gotten my tax return!) and still haven't heard back with your recommendations. Are you still working on replying to emails/PMs or should I assume it was lost? and I should resend? I gave you a couple of email accounts, yahoo and another one, so I'm hoping it wasn't lost on its way to me. Thanks! I hope I don't stress you out with asking! Or--does anyone know how they're doing on email replies?

Email. Well, I knew I'd f*ck it up, and I did.

Hi Elizabeth--I'm sorry to bother you, just a quick question: do you want PMs resent as well? I'm not sure how the PM thing works, does it just go into your email inbox or is it held here? If anyone can answer this that would be great! I don't want to resend my last message and make more work.

The search for the perfect Violet....

Cross posted from Bust--someone there asked a similar question, and I don't know if y'all read both boards (apologies if you do!). So, I finally got around to trying both Le Serpent and Saturnalia yesterday, one on each arm. Thoughts: they are similar, and I can definitely detect the same notes in both, but there is a difference. Saturnalia is greener, clear, damp, clean. Le Serpent is more floral, a little spicy, musky, a little more feminine. Saturnalia is a slightly stronger scent. I like it slightly better, but they're both really nice. It's like outside (Saturnalia) vs. inside (Le Serpent); forest and leaves and flowers vs. just flowers. If you were to get both, you'd definitely have different scents.

    Snow White

On me it's soft, sweet, gentle, clean, feminine but not too girly-girl for me. Even a little warm, although that's kind of a contradiction. Kind of round, if scents had a shape. It goes really well with my body chemistry and almost seems like it's just how I smell. It also lasts all day. I love this scent--I too wish it was not a limited edition!

    Tears

This was very sweet and clear on me. I couldn't place any notes, they blended pretty well. I liked it, but it did bring me down a little.

    Shadow

This smelled just awful on me at first, and then mellowed into pine and eucalyptus, oddly enough. Very green and sharp. It's interesting, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I am curious as to how the scent is so strongly NOT what the components are, though.
