Well, I just spilled some Dragon's Claw on myself, so I might as well not let it go to waste. This is actually one of the scents I like, but when I first spill apply it, it's very musky and fragrant, reminding me of magnolia, but with an odd soapy quality to it. The soapy quality eventually dissipates allowing the smell of sandalwood and incense to slowly burn in. In the end, ie., hours later, all that remains is the sensual and reverent smell of sandalwood. I generally picture a dark, wooden temple lit by candlelight. It's moderately strong; I can pick up on it when I'm at work, but I doubt anyone not directly next to me can. When I first got this one (it was a gift), I didn't think I'd like it, but the blend is working out quite well for me so far.

My co-workers do not appreciate the novelty I find in smelling like food. On the other hand, they might just not appreciate me shoving my arm in front of their faces and telling them to take a whiff. Spicy and warm, this perfume reminds me of cozy interiors in late fall when the wind starts blowing cold and you realize winter's just around the corner. I don't detect any peach but the individual scents are so well-blended, all I can really smell is some hot spiced pumpkin beverage. It's moderately strong; it's sometimes apparent to myself when I wear it but it's not overpowering. Bite me, co-workers. I smell delicious.

I smell like a furniture store. Granted, a high-class, department furniture store, but a furniture store nevertheless. The leather scent is very dominant. There's also something floral mixed in with the leather, but it's well-blended so neither scent really competes with the other. I don't detect any cinnamon however. It seems like a clean cologne and reminds me of getting into a brand-new car. Which is appropriate, because I smelled like a car as it was drying.

Despite my alcoholic proclivities, I have never actually had a mint julep. I have also never had bourbon. Without these references, Juke Joint reminds me of the green, astringent Chinese liquid medicine my mom would smear on me for mosquito bites. Within minutes of drying, the smell fades until it's more of a sweet cologne and an afterthought of mint. It seems like a subtle scent, but I have been sniffing my hand for the past fifteen minutes. It's a nice smell but not my taste. I may edit this review after I've tried some bourbon in the future. For research, of course.
