Sadly, this went on smelling like Vicks Vapor Rub and has remained that way :/

    Namaste

I sniffed the imp, thought, Hmmmm, interesting. Put it on my wrist, thought, hmmmm, interesting. Then placed it in my "still on the fence" baggie...I didn't make it across the room without having to come back and pull it out of there to add to my "i love it" bag. So Namaste, you took me a few seconds, but I warmed up to you It's bright, cheery, and I think of the color yellow. Another great "pick me up" scent (like Katharina). It citrus but not overpowering. And very clean smelling

MMMMMMM Happiness in a jar. I smell fruits, apples, mangos, oranges, and sunshine. This is the PERFECT pick-me-up blend I've smelled so far. I'm keeping this for sure and will wear it on those days were I'm dragging my butt

    Antony

I would consider this one to be more "gender neutral" than a scent for the guys. It's very soft and light but does have more of a male cologne feel to it. It's lovely but not something I think I'd upgrade to a bigger bottle. I 'll keep the imp though

    Spooky

I only have a sniffie so I wasn't able to put any on, but just from sniffing I have to say it smells wonderful. Peppermint patty and christmas are what come to mind. Must find an imp somewhere

    Ahathoor

This one didn't work for me. It had a sharp medicinal smell to it. If I sniff hard enough there is something really pleasant underneath but the sharpness needs to die down a little. Not terrible but not something I'd find myself wearing I edited this to add: I just read the reviews above mine and I wound up saying pretty much what everyone else did, lol. I promise I didn't peak at their reviews before writing this!

    Forbidden Fruit

I liked this in the bottle...on my skin it got too overpowering and perfumey. It's a nice floral scent if you like the flowers. Just didn't work on me :/

    Intrigue

In the bottle this smelled chocolatey. On my wrist I could smell the transformation happen. It got a late-night ourdoorsy in late autumn, smell I smell chimney smoke and the air is crisp. A wonderful and interesting blend. Lives up to its name

    Wicked

Wow. Another fantastic blend. Wicked is BEAUTIFUL. Floral, flirty, feminine. After a little while the rose shows up and it gets even more beautiful. This one practically lept into my "must have a bigger bottle" pile. Love it

    The Hamptons

The description is perfect. It does smell like a cocktail. Fruity, boozey, delicious. It's bright, uplifting, and fresh. It smells like *wealth*. I really like this one and have applied it twice already

    Velvet

In the bottle this is amazing. Once on it took on the smell of a pipe (tobacco). I'm not tossing this one into the swap pile just yet, as I do get sniffs of yummy chocolate...if only the smoke smell wasn't there. After a bit the tobacco smell does disappear...so this is a keeper, just not an upgrade to a bottle one

    Montresor

This is the first review I'm doing from a free sniffie I got, I really feel this was worthy WOW! This scent is amazing (I feel like I've been saying that on a loop lately). In the bottle it smells a tad smoky, which I normally dont like..but on, it smells delicious! Wet rum chocolate...that's what I think of when I smell it. All lovely and beautiful together. I see a few more drops remaining at the bottom of the bottle which I'm going to hoard until I'm able to get my hands on an actual bottle or imp ADDED Sept. 9: I got an empty bottle of this in a sale, looked at it, thought "gee that's pretty" and then pretty much left it alone. Last night something made me want to try it...holy cow this is amazing! I had maybe a drop or 2 left and I did everything but try to jump in the bottle to get more. I smell sweet pipe tobacco. And I'm usually not a fan of the tobacco smells but this one is absolutely astonishing. It makes me feel at ease...I don't know what it is. It's a very relaxing scent and perfect for the upcoming fall weather. I'm trying to track down a full bottle because I dont want this, I NEED it.

    Dorian

Oh my. WOW. I bought a 5ml bottle of this, unsniffed, because it came highly recommended. I am so happy I did. This is absolutely amazing. I smell warm luscious creamy vanilla. The prettiest vanilla scent I've ever smelled. I keep saying this but I found a new favorite. I can't put into words how amazing this oil smells.

    Succor

I *really* wanted to try this one because who couldn't use a little relaxation in their lives. I chase a 3 year old all day...give me succor please! It's not very pleasant smelling in the vial...smells kind of like muted medicine. Once applied it completely vanishes. Very very faint scent. I have to really sniff to smell this. But what I do smell, smells rather nice. It's clean. Nothing harsh. So I guess it lives up to its name. I'll try putting some on tomorrow when my daughter tries to eat cat food again and see if it works But scent-wise only, it's nice. I just wish it was a tad stronger and more noticeable. Perhaps thats the point though. To make the effort and take the time to smell for it. That's a little relaxing itself and forces *you* into a mini timeout...which I certainly need sometimes!

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

I'm happy to have found this thread. I have no known allergies, just sensitive skin and sometimes I break out in mysterious hives (was a huge problem when I was younger) and stress does me in as well. So far I've sampled over 70 BPAL oils and had no reaction. This morning I put on a blend of Dixie Love Perfume and Dragon's Milk, got in the car to go out and was horrified when I looked in the mirror and saw what looked like strangulation marks on my neck. Big bright red welts. So yeah, I'm *hoping* it wasn't the dragon's milk because I love that fragrance. I have a feeling it was the tal. Now I know not to put that one on my neck I'm really curious to know which ingredient it was that actually did me in... Just a heads up to those with sensitive skin/prone to hive...

    Penitence

This is another amazing blend. I'm starting to see a pattern as to which oils work on me (myrrh, frankincense) and which don't (honey, amber). This oil contains the first two and its gorgeous. Another I put in my "favorites" bag. It starts off a little strong, so apply sparingly, but settles to a lovely, quaint evening alone under the stars. Stunning

    Urd

This is one I didn't think I was going to like but then was pleasantly surprised. In the bottle it smells like insense. On my skin I smell a beautiful smoky sweetness. I really like this.

    Moon Rose

My oh my. After a brief losing streak as far as incoming imps goes, I've been on a long string of hit after hit. Moon Rose is no exception. I love me some rose...but rose not done well just, well, stinks. Moon Rose is perfect. Light, airy, lovely. The rose isn't overpowering...it's there but not in your face. It has a lovely powder fresh scent to it. Clean and crisp. GLorious scent and one my new favorites (I've been saying that a lot lately )

    Snow White

Just when I think I found my new favorite BPAL scent (hello Dragon's Milk), another pokes its head into my life. I have a new love and her name is Snow White. This oil is unbelievable. It smells like innocence, beauty, grace and femininity all bottled up. Not overpowering, but gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this one. If you haven't tried it, find some! I can't pick out any single note because the lot blend together perfectly. Nothing punches you in the face. And it doesn't morph. It's consistently stunning. Must find more!

    Red Lantern

The tobacco scared me but I have to say this is one my favorite scents now. Wow. It's very unique and a tad foody, without being overly in your face. It's light and feminine, yet unique. I've had this on for the last few hours and everyone I passed wanted to know what I was wearing. Gorgeous gorgeous scent~ Made my favorites list

    Rose Red

What's that saying...a rose is just a rose...right? WRONG. This is the most beautiful rose oil I have ever smelled. It's intoxicating. I CANT stop smelling my wrists For the rose lovers, this is a MUST. For the rose haters, you might want to give this one a try because it's gorgeous. It smells like a perfect single red rose.
  22. fairy

    Masabakes

This one is NICE. Made it into my favorites It has an insense-type smell, but very light. I don't know how else to describe it...I can't pick any particular scent out. The decsription makes it sound kind of dark and heavy, but on me it takes on a light and airy feel. I love it.

    Centzon Totochtin

This was fine until it dried. Then it started smelling like cigarette smoke. Which is weird because in the bottle it smelled like chocolate coffee
  24. fairy

    Nocnitsa

Wow, I didn't like this in the bottle or on my skin. It had a strong, dark, medicinal scent to it. I prefer the lighter, airy ones If you like the dark brooding scents, this one is definitely for you. Sort of smells piney too.

    Absinthe

In the bottle I smell spearmint gum. I knew this one would be hit or miss. When first applied it was delightfully refreshing. But after about 10 minutes it turned to black licorice, which I can't stand. Off to the swap pile with ye :/
