    Hellion

Hellion is warm, spicy, and sweet...in short, everything I love in a scent. I'll treasure my decant and would be thrilled if it ever came around again.

    Wolf Moon 2007

I'm so glad I took a chance on this! Pine and musk can be iffy on me, but the pine here is very gentle, and the musk is warm and sweet. I definitely smell the cold night air, and it contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the amber and musk. Gorgeous!

    Lycaon

It's funny how we all have such different experiences with the same scent. Others are smelling all sorts of wonderful notes, but I'm getting mostly powder. It's a warm, sweet, pleasant powderiness, but it's still powder. No ginger for me, alas. I will have to put it away and try again in a few weeks, but so far, it's not measuring up to Schwarzer Mond or Shub.

    Black Ice

This is definitely an icy BPAL scent, and it does smell slightly floral, as others have mentioned. I was initially wary of the vetiver, but it doesn't take over the blend at all. I actually kind of like this, although there are so many wonderful snow/ice scents that I don't know if I really need a whole bottle. The decant, however, is a definite keeper.

    Love-Lies-Bleeding

On me, this smells like candy and powder. Over time, the candy dissipates and the powder takes over. The scent is really nice in the vial, sweet and floral, but it just doesn't agree with my skin.

    Golden Priapus

On me, this is a gorgeous vanilla with amber and a hint of evergreen. It's sweeter than I was expecting, and it makes me feel all warm and snuggly. I actually bought it for my husband, but it's not as masculine-smelling as I expected, and I think he'd find it too sweet. Still, I'll let him have my imp if he wants it, because a 5ml of this for ME is definitely going into my next order.

    The Black Tower

This one of the most unusual scents I have ever tried. In the imp, it smells like nasty cough drops, but I decided to be brave and put some on my skin. Wet on my skin, it smells of dark, smoky woods. Dry, it sweetens up a lot and smells fresh and green, while still retaining a smoky depth. I am intrigued and will keep my imp around for further experimentation.

    Jolly Roger

I only get salty aquatic from this at first, then a slight hint of rum, and then poof--it's gone. It's nice enough, but I prefer the scent and lasting power of The Pool of Tears, and I don't really need another salty aquatic.

    Kali

Kali is rich, complex, and very feminine. The wine is most apparent at first, then the florals, honey, and tobacco take over. The overall effect is smooth and slightly decadent. I like it, but I'm not sure it's "me." Still, it's one I'm glad to have tried.

    The Pool of Tears

Aquatic and softly perfumey, without being OMGFLORAL. This is actually really beautiful, and it's subtle enough to wear almost anywhere. A definite keeper!

    Absinthe

I smell the mint and the anise most prominently, along with a general booziness and creaminess. Unexpectedly, I kind of like it. I'll keep my imp around just for fun.

    Yerevan

This smells very peachy to me, although looking at the description, I see now that it's apricot. It's very warm, musky, and fruity. Surprisingly, the roses don't amp or turn soapy on me. A very happy scent with decent throw and lasting power. I'll definitely keep the imp around.

    Peitho

This is a sweet, heady floral with a touch of spice (although I don't see spice in the description, so maybe I'm just going crazy). For a jasmine blend, it behaves itself nicely, but it's still just a little too floral for me.

The High Priest Not To Be Described

Mmm, spicy leathery incensey masculine goodness. I'd definitely buy it for my husband if he didn't already have a bottle of Count Dracula.

    Orpheus

This is very green and grassy on me. It's very clean smelling and a little bit sharp, but not too sharp. After drying awhile, it mellows out and a sweet floral peeks through. I don't get any cedar from it at all. It's gorgeous, and I can see myself gravitating toward this blend during the springtime, so I will save my imp to use then.

    Port Royal

This is a gorgeous spicy, musky floral on me. I do also detect a hint of salty sea air and maybe a boozy note. I really wasn't expecting to like it at all, but it's a surprise winner. I'll definitely keep my imp around and may eventually need a bottle.

    Monster Bait: Closet

What a sugar rush! I smell the berries, the buttercream, and the cake, in that order. I'm glad to have gotten the chance to try this, although I doubt I'll reach for it regularly.

    Silence

This is indeed a quiet scent, and perfect for the painting it accompanies. I smell subtle florals, fruits, and tea. It's a very cool-smelling blend, which might work well for summer, although I see no problem with wearing it anytime at all. Another stunner!

    Jólasveinar

I love this blend! It's actually a lot more foody than I expected; the pastries are at the forefront, definitely not just a hint. I also smell snow and greenery, but no flowers. It sounds like an odd mix, but it really works, and I'm seriously considering snagging a backup bottle.

    Shadow

This has some very iffy notes for me, yet somehow it works. The patchouli and cedar are very dark, but are balanced by the bright verbena. The sandalwood disappears on me, as usual. It's not something I'd have chosen for myself, but I'm never one to turn down a gift from the Lab. This may actually end up being a keeper!

    Yule

This is definitely strong on the lemon verbena, but I'm not getting a Pledge vibe from it. It actually smells kind of warm and resinous, with a hint of something green and herbal. Definitely a unique blend. I'm pretty sure I won't use a whole bottle, but I'm glad to have this anyway and may imp half of it out to share the love.

    Lick It Again

Wow, that is some sweet, sugary peppermint! And it's strong--better than coffee for a pick-me-up. I actually vastly prefer this to the original Lick It, and I may need to pick up a backup bottle before it goes away.

    Snow-Flakes

This is a very light, minty aquatic on me. It actually doesn't smell as "snowy" as Darkling Thrush or Cloister Graveyard in the Snow, at least on my skin. I do like it and think it would be very refreshing in warm weather, so I may save my bottle for the summer.

    Knecht Ruprecht

This smells just like snowy pine on me. I'm not getting the woods or fruit from it, but it's still a delightful wintery blend. I may need to test it again in a couple of weeks to see if the other notes decide to make an appearance, and I will update my review if so.

    Midnight Mass

This is a surprise winner for me. I don't usually gravitate toward incense scents, but this is just perfect, smoky but clean (if that makes any sense at all) and slightly woodsy. I'll definitely keep my decant and consider a bottle.
