It's as if I'd put my nose in a bouquet of Bulgarian roses and take it all in and then catch a whiff of roasting coffee beans nearby. The roses dominate, they're very fragrant, not jammy sweet, you get the rose petals aroma swirling around you and mingled with the roasting coffee beans smoke.

The Licor 43 truly stands out and beats the crap out of all other notes, stomping on them. The lab's liquor note is a tricky one....here i think it's more on the gin side and pulling the entire blend into boozy territory. The espresso and condensed milk get washed away and I'm left with the lemon and cinnamon spiced/ garnished Licor 43.

This reminds me a lot of Nyx, the Night Goddess. It's those chewy caramelized fragrant sweet resins. I don't smell any coffee bean here, but a dose of resins and caramel.

This reminds me A GREAT DEAL of Jiaolong!!!! I kid you NOT! Maybe here's less red musk, but in general both scents are almost twin brothers.

This was a skin fail. I don't get along with the lab's snow slush note, which developed in my skin. Something lemony akin to the white tea note shows up, but the slush note still dominates here for me.

If you enjoyed Coconut Lavender Creampie oil gifted as a Black Friday freebie imp then you might like this too. I get the fluffy airy cake and the lavender brush. The fluffy cake part stands out more on my skin. No sign of the carrots.

my skin amps up the pumpkin spice part. It seems to be mellowed out by the eggnog, but still retains the slightly cinnamon kick. If i hadn't known, I'd have believed i was smelling a Weenie

This perfume develops differently on my skin both indoors and outdoors. Indoors i get a green honeyed tea, I'd say the green variety but very restrained and dainty. Outdoors, it's more vibrant, well blended and multifaceted, and i get the hay, the sweetened tobacco/ tea melange, and also something akin to suede, although it's not listed. It's airy and vividly aromatic and sweet in a refined way. Nothing about screams manure or saddle leather or whatever olfactive associations you may attribute to horses.

I get a bitter espresso steam and leather bound books with the emphasis on the leather. It's somewhat dry and rugged. I expected more warmth and vanilic white paper notes.

I hoped for a more sinister fruity resiny musk concoction. My skin brings out the sugar spun cherries which gradually fade away making way for the pomegranate, surprisingly for me.Later on the pom becomes stronger and more tart, reminding me of the long discontinued Swank.

2023 release: i bottled it sometime in 2024 before Weenies went down and let the bottle rest. I look it out of my stash and put a dab of it on the back of my wrist. I'm getting a beautiful burnt caramel musk with a hint of grit. I kept getting wafts of caramel brulée throughout the day with a touch of the linen note. The long wait (or aging) paid off.

This a powdery cocoa stout-infused buttery biscuit. It's not buttery like Jack. It reminds me a great deal of the Cacao, Coffee Bean and Khus trio with added stout and golden butter.

Dead Leaves, Molten Lava Cake, and Raw Cacao
theredkilt replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Halloweenie
I strongly believe this blend needs to rest a couple of days before making an accurate opinion. I noticed some cacao sludge floating in the bottle, which is a good sign for chocolovers. The dead leaf note here is the bell pepper variety and i was afraid it was gonna clash with the gourmand cocoa notes. Thank God this wasn't the case. The molten lava cake note comes out stronger backed in the background by the dead leaf dusty crunch. Little by little i can smell the gooey rich dense texture of the molten lava cake sprinkled with some raw cacao powder around the edges. Really mouthwatering if you like your dark chocolate on the beefier side. After 4 hours i get a faint whiff of the dusty dead leaf (without any bell pepper residue) smudged in dissipating cacao powder. Very pleased with this blind buy ❤️❤️❤️- 4 replies

I get Embalming Fluid (EF) fresh on the skin, but after 15 min the blend goes in a slightly different direction as opposed to the regular EF. White Satin Hearse shows a sweet white leather vibe. It feels pleasantly polished. I can also pick up a white flower note, maybe lily of the valley??? and it tip toes close to laundry territory, but manages to stay in check. Overall it's sweet white leather bathed in the shadows of EF's aloe and white musk notes. I very happy with my blind buy.

Similarities Between BPAL Scents - GC and general discussion
theredkilt replied to Shollin's topic in Recommendations
no they're not. Western on my skin is a strong melange of brown leather and mentholated sage, like crazy SAGE. Snake skin is a completely different ballpark, kind of a leathery gourmand. -

The weed infused green amber is singing on my skin. It's got a tangy/sharp/ acrid bite. The milky marshmallow creeps up on the weedy green amber. I think the weed acrid edge wears off, but it's still hovering above the marshmallow milky goodness.

On my skin this brings out the white sandalwood, orris root, the dustiness of dead leaves and maybe some type of unidentified resin. I don't get any Snake Oil from this, but overall this reminds me very vaguely of King Cobra minus the frankincense.

2025 release: it's not what i expected I'd get judging from the notes. I get a strong fizzy labdanum with touches of tangy dried cherries and blackberries. The dry down doesn't sweeten up as time goes by. I wish some sweetness would show up....but no. 2025 release: it's not what i expected I'd get judging from the notes.
