Aw, Hollie. Your post just about made me cry. I wish I had some advice, and I really wish that prejudices didn't still exist in the world. But all I can do is send you a hug, because this is the last thing you should be dealing with right now, and you're the last person who should have to be dealing with them.

For what it's worth, it's been driving me crazy, too. The weird talk was fine in the macro thread (although I'm not sure I personally get it)...but in the swaps forum and especially in the Update thread, it makes me want to start poking eyes out. I sincerely hope that it's just a phase.

And whether people trust Michele or Olympia more isn't an issue. The issue is that the "rules" that people are screaming Michele broke are not being carried out evenly across the board. Those rules are posted in black and white on the forums. Regardless of personal opinion or levels of "trust", the mods/admin should be enforcing them the same for everyone. Which, apparent to me and others, is not what they are doing.

Well, we spend a lot of time ensuring that the rules *are* enforced evenly...so if you (or anyone) has a concern about a rule being applied fairly, you should feel free to contact us about it.

Totally off topic, but your topic title made me think of my Grandfather, because he always used to tell me that he had the *worst* recurring nightmares when he was growing up that would involve him being kidnapped by a band of giant vegetables.

On topic, the pictures are beautiful! I so wish I had the outdoor space to grow veggies and flowers.

Click on "Comments:0" (or however many) at the bottom of the entry, then on the entry's page "Fast Reply" or "Add reply" work just like they do in the forum.

 

As for trackback, what it does is connect posts. So lets say I write a post in my blog in response to this one. I come here and get your "Trackback URL" then when I've posted my post, I click on the trackback button at the bottom of my post, give it this post's trackback URL, then *your* trackbacks section will include a link to my post. That way, you'll know that I posted something in my blog referencing your post.
