    2023 SwitchWitch Round

Here's where all my answers and misc helpful info will go for my dear Witch. 1) would you like a scarf? If so, colors, length, iwide or skinny? Bulky yarn or thin and slinky?? How about some dishcloths, for the kitchen? Or spa cloths for the bathroom? If so, which? Any particular colors?? I honestly do not need anything like this, I have so many scarves already. As for dishcloths, I prefer something without a knitted texture because they get stuff stuck in the weave. I'd take a knitted hood though I know thats a lot more work, so it's not really necessary - if someone does want to knit a hood for me, I'd like it roomy, and a darker green or darker grey 2) Cat Coven - this was my question - I love her stuff, not much I wouldn't take. 3) Green Salmon - this was my question - Again, almost anything except green tea and matcha, and none of their sugar-filled drink mixes unfortunately. 4) Favorite treats - sugar free only(no maltitol) milk chocolate (these brands dont have maltitol which makes me sick: The Good Chocolate, ChocZero, High Key, Lilys), gummies, truffles, filled milk chocolate, homemade gluten free and sugar free goodies, love chocolate covered jellies and truffles, choc and PB, chocolate covered things, etc...if its Milk chocolate and white chocolate Im good with it. 5) Snag Tights: Gully in size F is my first choice, Caught in my Web in size F 2nd choice 6) Anything from the UK 7) What Halloween things off RedBubble do you like? Share link if possible. - this was my question - i have a LOT of things I like on there but not necessarily spooky 8 ) Enamel pins - I have a collection, but I dont do anything with them right now. Someday I may. I prefer pins having to do with esoteric occult pirates sarcastic cats green man hedge witch runes norse and celtic culture and not in that order. lol 9) Hairfalls - if they look like a forest witch would wear them, so, natural greens, grey, silver, metallics, no pastels. 10) Serge Luten perfumers - would love to try not into sweet heavy florals, so... 11) Haus of Gloi Halloween update: I havent experienced this company much. but these sound delightful: pumpkin butter in Olde Cider Haus, Samhain, Spider Silk; Candles in Apple Milk, Kitchen Witch, Red Roan 12)The Grey Muse Etsy shop enamel pins - pretty, but no thank you 13) Future Primitive Soaps has released it's fall stuff. Would you like anything from there dearest witchee? https://futureprimitivesoap.co.uk YES PLEASE!!! Rook & Raven shampoo bar, Money Magic soap, No. 11 body cream, Four & Twenty Blackbirds Cream or soap, Owlett's End soap, 14) Elderberry syrup - only if it's made with non-sugar sweetener 15) Do you want anything from Sea Witch Botanicals? I'd love ince3nse in Samhain, scented veil in Mabon, Herbal Remedy and any incense https://seawitchbotanicals.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp8ew09yPgQMVCw-tBh2g1Q5NEAAYASAAEgJIhPD_BwE - I discovered Hirons Drug Store - this was my question - I honestly need a new nice-sized unlined magnetic fridge notepad for my weekly grocery lists. I make big lists. - Gift Certificates you'd like to places that are local to you? Torrid, food places, Regal or Cinemark theatres, Boudica beauty salon in Junction City, OR - ILNP nail polish - I only use this brand of polish - of their new ones, I'd love Dark Matter, Deep Space, Enchantment, and Lured or Hex from Halloween 2022 16) Alobudra - I dont really need anything from this, but the mists sounds nice and usable. 17) Japanese things: I have a particular fondness for maneki-neko dishes to feed my kitties on, and I also am in need of an Omamori for hanging in my vehicle for safe travels of all kinds. 18) Brujita Skincare - If theres something that sounds like it would be a good fit for me, sure. 19) Bird & Blend Tea: Chocolate Digestives sounds DELICIOUS. Bonfire Toffee sounds Fabulous too. Violet Cream, Love Potion, and Devon Cream all sounds SOOOO DAMN GOOD. 20) BloomChic - this was my question - I love a lot of stuff on there, and if my Witch is interested to know more, just HMU 21) Poesie Tea - this was my question - S'More Tea, Pink Moon, Tudor Rose and I've never tried Olympus but would love to since it has my favorite, Mate', in it. 22) Would you like anything from Trader Joe's? I just had my first art show with these- bowls, trivets ( that can hang on the wall when not in use), coasters. Is this something you'd like ? What sort of Halloween fabric? Whimsical? Witchy, bats, mushrooms, moths? How gothy do you like? I have velvets & sparkly stuff to work with too. What is your preference witchee? I could certainly use some hardy trivets or coasters! Nothing bright orange please. LOVE darker colors, nature, velvets, metallics, etc 24) How do you feel about cherry things? Check out Cherry Republic and let me know if anything catches your eye! I LOVE Cherries so damn much, but theyre so damn high in sugar. If anything, the meats or salsas. Similarly, are you into fancy flavors of olive oil or vinegar? Check out Fustini's and let me know if anything appeals! Oh gosh almost any of these! We also have an awesome store for jams and sauce, American Spoon which you should totally check out! The sour cherry spoon fruit is the only thing I could eat from there, and it still has a lot of sugar. Would you like some locally sourced maple syrup? I wish, but no. Finally, I live in a place known for fudge. Do you like it and/or are their flavors you particularly like? My favorite shop is Murdick's if you need to see a flavor list. Not so much, no I live near a Penzey's Spice https://www.penzeys.com do you cook? Do you want fancy schmancy spices or spice blends? Do you have a favorite alternative source that you prefer and or recommend? If you cook is there a type of cuisine you are interested in learning more about and would appreciate a starter pack of spices for that type of cooking? I love the Savory Spice Shoppe and have many favorites from them, I miss them since I had to move away from CO. I'm not too much into Penzeys because of the other shop I used all the time. I would get various blends from the Savory Spice Shoppe - so many good ones. 27) ColourPop - Lip Stain or Lip Tint in one of the less dark berry colors. Sugar free Milk Chocolate is my favorite, white chocolate 2nd, and I love all kinds of stuff in them. But the extras have to be gluten free. I make mixed media art (like collaging kinda). Is a mixed media art piece (small like an altoids tin or small canvas) something you'd be interested in? A tin would be lovely. What music platform do you use (Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc.)? Do you like receiving music recommendations? Spotify, I put this in the Warehouse Qs - Im very much stuck on Wardruna, Prima Nocta, and similar. 30) New Question: because I’m a knitting kind of witch, would you appreciate a pair of hand knit socks. If yes, would you like them in a particular colour? I would adore this. with socks, surprise me, Im not picky on colors, just not into pastels or neons. 31)ASTRID updates - I dont think so, Im honestly not wearing much perfume right now so getting a whole bottle of something new which may not even work for me, is probably a bad idea. 32) Fae Fragrance - I'm curious about some of the scents in the perfume list - I just wish the heavy hand cream had less foody scents - so if my witch is getting anything from this company, the heavy hand cream in Sea Witch or Lilith, and perfume samples in Alrighty Aphrodite, Seaweed Brain, Pits Tits & Naughty Bits, Feel Good Hit of the Summer, or Diabolique 33) Anything you want from my favorite local tea shop? www.fridaytea.com - yes, I like their themes - right off hand I'd love to try these, For Salvation, For the Shield, Underworld, For Fidelity, How about from my skincare person? drjensbeautylab.com/ I dont see anything that jumps out but if something seems appropriate, sure. I can also annoint and dress candles with TALs and herbs. Any interest? ----Sure! I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something. ------raspberry leaf I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion. ----sounds very nice 34) Anything in the Paintbox Soapworks Halloween update looking good to you? https://paintboxsoapworks.com/new-limited-edition/2023-weenie-collection/ - I've never tried the bath streusel - I'd like it in Demeter or Putney Road, Let Me in Your Window oil, and Let Me In Your Window hot process soap, Nightwalker oil. 35) If you have a furry friend living with you, what sort of treats do they like? I have felines and their favorite treats are the Greenies Healthy Indoor/ Skin & Coat (filled) treats in Tuna or Salmon - they also love the large catnip filled rainbows or similar shapes made by Yeowww! brand I think. 36) Seasonal mugs - no thank you I dont even have my own place to live currently. Wishlists are not up to date, honestly, but I do not have time to do much, especially with the BPAL w/l - Im so far behind in BPAL offerings, and my BPAL is in two big boxes right now too. 😥 honestly so sick of living like this. 37) - Do you have anything you use every day that you wouldnt mind getting more of? Sure, collagen powder, Monkfruit sweetener, OWYN 32gr protein meal replacement drinks, Belif Moisture Bomb face cream, goat or sheep milk cheeses/A2 milk items since I can digest these, Jane's Krazy mixed up seasoning - Anything you love or need to have from Adagio or Rishi teas? Adagio has lots of wonderful roasted Mate' blends - I listed one in my Qs - Mate' has a kind of caffeine that doesn't make me feel like death. Rishi is one of my favorites for pure, clean tea - Iron Goddess of Mercy oolong and Turmeric Chai (the font wont format correctly - pardon this BS) - List here things you wish you would've added to your questionnaire - did I say no Rooibos or Honey bush? Cant stand them. 38) Nocturne Alchemy just dropped their Halloween update! You like the looks of anything? https://nocturnealchemy.com/collections/limited-collection I dont have a lot of experience with NA - have sampled very few - if you think it's something I would love, yes please. But if not, please don't spend the money. 39) BPAL WEENIE UPDATE: I havent been in a position to even drool over Weenies in a few years, so it was fun to make this list! I may be unable to stop myself from ordering decants, BUT, these are ones I DIDNT order, AND - so, witch, if you feel so inclined, the hair gloss is a sure thing for me. The Witches Have a Fire Again A Little Silver Scimitar Maple Leaves, Golden Moss, and Amber Hair Gloss Samhain Hair Gloss Witch Milk Wolf Milk 40) How do you feel about Squishmallows and Squishables? Absolutely NO We've had some questions about specific enamel pins, but how do you feel about enamel pins in general? And would you wear ones meant to be put on lapels? Honestly, I'm very picky about the pins I collect at this point. There are particular artists I prefer. See next question.... Speaking of enamel pins... The Pickety Witch's Autumn and Halloween collection just dropped. Has anything caught your eye? Oh, LOTS, this is one of my favorite pin artists - I'll use abbreviations - Jiji's, Baba, Witch or Pumpkin Kitten, Mabon Raven 41) Tarot or oracle decks - no thank you - have too many I dont use enough, plus packed away still Studio Ghibli - no thanks LUSH Halloween update - YES Please, I need good bath tub supplies for my frequent required epsom salt baths - they get very boring and I have no bubbles - Pumpkin Crumble bubble bar, Screaming Banshee bath bomb, Bubble Lugosi bath bomb, Toil & Trouble body scrub, Lord of Misrule anything 42) Part 2 of the Autumnal/Halloween drop from Haus of Gloi is coming this weekend- take a look and see if anything is compelling! https://www.hausofgloi.com - The pumpkin butters sound wonderful - wish the whipped soap was available. As I said earlier, I dont have much experience with Haus of Gloi. My scent preferences are in the previous Haus of gloi question above. Also, I live in Philly and will use ANY reason to spend time at the Mütter Museum- anything of interest (including, but not limited to, the well-loved BPAL exclusive for the museum, Ü?) https://www.muttermuseumstore.org Only Umlaut, not necessary though. 43) *Are you a fan of the show Cobra Kai? NO *Do you enjoy any of the scented items from Victoria's Secret? No thank you *Would you be interested in receiving a silver locket with papyrus and herbs inside, as a protective amulet? No thank you 44) Lenny Mud - no thank you Tea preferences: Black, green, white, rooibos, oolong, herbal? My number one choice is Mate. The caffeine is different and easier on my body. Black tea and oolong come after. I am not interested in green or white and I honestly cant stand rooibos or honeybush. Herbals are good as long as they are actual herbals and not filled with fruit and other junk. My herbals I use specifically for anxiety and relaxtion modes. TORRID - yes please. Breathing Destruction From Their Lips Like Flame

Oh how I wish the vetiver came out stronger! This was one of 2 scents I purchased for the Roe Vs Wade incident. What comes out fastest and stays longest is the fruits. At first it laid on my skin reminding me of Blood Kiss, one of my favorites. The peppercorn is a subtle little bite in the background. Still, where is my vetiver that wonderful earthy smokiness? Nowhere at this point. Maybe after it ages for a bit it will have more of that. The nagarmotha is also barely a whisper in the background of all these amping sweets.
  3. Greenwoodtree

    Gaueko

Straight, hardcore lavender. A twinge of head pain when I smell it warns me to wash it off soon. I wish straight lavender and I got along like we used to. This is a potent herbal and I like it.
  4. Greenwoodtree

    Lurid

Surprised by this one! I remember testing it several years ago and it was bad. Now it blooms into a sophisticated, lovely, light scent. Its going on my 'need more' list.
  5. Greenwoodtree

    Bayou

It started out a calm herbal that I could love, but quickly my skin turned up the volume on the flowers. UGH
  6. Greenwoodtree

    New Orleans

If you love southern flowers, this is for you.
  7. Greenwoodtree

    The Scarlet Horror

Wonderful scent - I swear it reminds me of my grail scent, The High Priest Not to be Described. Its blended really well. Also, I think I need to add blood musk to my favorite notes.
  8. Greenwoodtree

    The Hag

Black musk, bay leaves, galangal, bourbon vetiver, blackcurrant, and rum. All I smell is rum and black musk...I miss all the other notes
  9. Greenwoodtree

    The Red Death

Was hoping so much for this one. Violets and vetiver are two of my best. But the wretched red mush starts amping, and it makes the vetiver turn chemically.
  10. Greenwoodtree

    Bewitched

Was more blended when wet, now the berry sweetness is amping and taking away the complexity....
  11. Greenwoodtree

    The Sea Foams Blood

Surprising. On notes alone I would never have tried it. It's floral and the aquatic dominates, but theres a sweetness underneath. Its feminine and summery.
  12. Greenwoodtree

    Oberon

Cant believe Ive never tested this before. Or if I did, it didnt smell like this! Thankfully with changing body chemistry (menopause) I think I can wear some of these notes! This is sweet, lovely, and feminine. I honestly dont normally like scents with that description. A keeper for sure.
  13. Greenwoodtree

    Ogygia

Really complex and strong, sweet aquatic and herbal. Something is amping and taking away the complexity again. This happens to me so often, its frustrating. In a few minutes after applying, the sweet aquatic and fake evergreen scents are whats left, faintly. Would love to smell this if it was made with pure essential oils.
  14. Greenwoodtree

    Blood Rose

Wet, this is decadent and the first strong rose scent I could enjoy! Sadly, something overpowers the rose and wine, and it turns to just a mediocre sweet floral scent. AACK, maddening.
  15. Greenwoodtree

    Depraved

Sorry but, ew. This combo makes me think of the sweat note in Sara Pezzini. Plus the patchouli is morphing into the sweaty wood chips again. SO sad. It could have worked if it wasnt so....salty.
  16. Greenwoodtree

    Megaera

Very plumy - a nice sweet scent, for someone who likes sweet perfumes. I cant pull them off and not into foodies.
  17. Greenwoodtree

    Jezebel

Aaack. The sandalwood and honey turn to powder and nothing else is represented except the slightest tinge of old roses.
  18. Greenwoodtree

    Le Miroir de la Coquetterie

Immediate strong powder with a faint dirty note in the back.. had to reapply because it started fading pretty fast, which Im glad for. But all in all I do not care for strong powdery scents. No jasmine, and no detectable vetiver. Vetiver is one of my top fav notes.
  19. Greenwoodtree

    Le Vice Suprême

WOWEEEE! This is one of those amazingly complex, expertly blended scents that I love. Everything comes through in a balanced way. Its rich and complex, not like the typical boozy scents I've smelled. Also the tobacco and rose, both which can turn bad on me, are perfect! The tobacco is trying to amp a bit though, as usual. On me, the gin, whiskey, and rose petals are forefront, but the sweetness of the vanilla makes it luscious - The leather is there, but in the background supporting these other smells. I am testing this over a year after it was decanted, and Im glad for it. This may need to go on my wishlist as needing a bottle. No other BPAL I've tested has this mix. VERDICT - A terribly sexy scent I want to wear to the kink club
  20. Greenwoodtree

    Faun

Oy vey. Its funk. Thats all I keep thinking as it wafts up to my nose. The faun smells like funk The honey musk and 2ndary leaves completely amps over the fir needle...so sad...it could have been lovely.
  21. Greenwoodtree

    La Dame au Cochon

This smells good. Another winner in the vein of Silver Phoenix for me. The Apple doesnt amp like it usually does, which is such a pleasant change. The notes that made me get this decant were the white musk, angelica, and violet leaf, so I think they are what really make it a winner for me too. The fresh airiness makes me wish for a bottle.
  22. Greenwoodtree

    Cemetery Creep

Reminds me of my grail BPAL scent, Silver Phoenix! This combo is very similar but not as light and airy as SIlver Phoenix. Its pleasant, more sweet, airy, dry, and calming.
  23. Greenwoodtree

    Arcana

VERY lemony, rosemary, herbal - reminds me of kitchen herbs. Its interesting and Ive been waiting to try this with high hopes, but its not wearable - an atmo spray would be REALLY nice though! Especially for winter when things get stuffy!
  24. Greenwoodtree

    Signior Dildo

OMG...I just tested this, I dont know what year, no date on imp label. Its gorgeous, balanced, and elegant. I need a bottle.
  25. Greenwoodtree

    Startled Toad

The coconut amps...and then like a startled toad, it disappears off my skin!
