    The Unicorn

In the imp...sweet and grapish. Maybe a light herbal smell. Wet on my skin...sweet but not fruity.. kind of like a newly bloomed wildflower. The herbal undertone is almost a little bit minty. As it dries, the herbal comes out more and more... but in a white way. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I can't think of another way to describe it. The herbals aren't particularly green, they're very airy and bright and... white? smelling. This is a lovely scent that sparkles with innocence and goodwill. What a perfect scent to depict a unicorn.

    Megaera

Orris, black amber, bergamot, plum and grapefruit. this is nice, if a little unremarkable. It smells a tad bit like kitsune-tsuki, and a little bit like bordello. Unfortunately I don't like it as well as either. It's sweet and light; quite light, actually, since I haven't been wearing it for more than half and hour and it's fading rapidly. Also, sweet scents like this tend to go a little "off" on me, like rotting fruit, so I try to steer away from them. This one is awfully sweet, and it doesn't have any floral or grounding notes to keep it from going south. Nice in the beginning though!

    Follow Me Boy

Yes, jasmine. I had a feeling I'd see you here. This smells just like the Flying Fox shower gel and the Godiva shampoo puck from Lush. If you're a jasmine fan, this is the perfume for you. I like jasmine, but this is a little soapy for me. I think some of the more herbal notes are toning down the richness that jasmine can achieve. Ther herbalness is giving this a bit of a soapy feel... kind of like shaving cream for legs. Hmm... drying down this is a little more pleasant, but it takes a while to get there. Not sure about the voodoo properties of this one, I tested it while sitting next to my lova, and he didn't blink and eye. Oh well, I've already snagged him, so no worries.

    Bon Vivant

How bubbly and different! This is definitely a fruity departure from the bpals I've tried before. I love the boozy champagne notes, though they are very potent, i wouldn't wear this and speed on the highway, unless I wanted to have to endure a sobriety test. The strawberry isn't too sweet, it is made fizzy and bubbly with the champagne. It smells a bit like fizzy strawberry soda. I like this, it's fun and innocent, though I could only wear it to parties or certain occasions that called for a bubbly side.

    Imp

i think i may have found a new love! I'm really digging on these peach blends! In the bottle, this is a sharp patchouli-peach. Not entirely inviting.. On my skin, it's a lovely peachy/earthy smell. Not as sharp a peach as Marquise de Marteuil (due to the lack of vetiver, i'm sure)... but the patchouli rounds out the peach and keeps it from being too sweet and juicy. I'm not usually a fan of patchouli, but I like it here. This is definitely a granola and birkenstocks smell... very mellow and sweet and au naturelle. I'm not into hippiedom, but i don't mind visiting if it means i get to wear Imp!

    Juke Joint

This reminds me a bit of Jolly Roger.. though this is definitely more masculine, where Jolly Roger could swing both ways with a bit more ease. Mm.. though as it dries, the booze and the sugar mix to an intoxicating finish. I don't get any mint, but that usually fades fast, so I'm not missing it. Oh dear would this be sexy on a man or what? Must apply to boyfriend liberally.. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Snake Oil for men!

    Absinthe

This is pretty and surprisingly not very green-smelling. Which is good in my opinion. I do get a bit of licorice, but i think it's a deceptive smell. I don't know if this is anise I'm smelling, or if the other notes are just combining to make it seem that way. I do get a nice dousing of mint, which I'm sadly sure will fade quickly as most mints do. I like the undertone of woodiness, it's a sweet, aged wood... this smells like sitting on a forest floor after a rain shower and maybe hugging an old tree. It doesn't smell debauched or decadent to me... just clean and natural. Very nice, I will be wearing this with my green man pendant.

    Aeval

This is such a fresh, clean scent.. crisp and slightly sharp and tangy, even! I smell freshly cut lawns in faeryland. It smells like grass clippings and light florals, tinged with a sparkle of magic and mist. This would be great to wear with a faery costume for halloween. Airy and light, but not sweet. It does get a tad soapy dried down, but it retains it's freshness. It's very bright and cheery, and I like it for what it is. It isn't "me" per se, but it is someone, and that person is quite lucky.

    Tintagel

Smells like.... bubblegum with cloves and spices. It's a more serious and bitter spice to my nose, less bakery spice. Think cinnamon sticks rather than cinnamon buns. It's nice...very spicy and crisp. There is that slightly powdery undertone that reminds me a little bit of bubblegum, but it's not unpleasant as it might sound. It adds a femininity to the spices that Bengal lacked for me. Bengal was too harsh and spicy, whereas Tintagel is much softer and naughtier. I will keep my imp!

    Midway

Lovely as it is, and as much as I love it... ths is pretty much a cotton candy smell to me. I don't get a ton of complexity, though perhaps this would age well? I did notice that if I slather this on, rather than dab, I do get a salty note.. though it's not noticeable unless I stick my nose up to my wrist and take a good whiff. I also don't smell the cake that everyone seems to smell, maybe I'm just misinterepreting the cotton candy smell wafting off my wrist. Overall, I really like this, it's fun and sugary, I wonder if Trick or Treat will be comparable or better! Midway is great and fun, but i don't see it being an everyday fixture.

    Hecate

I'm not an almond fan, so my opinion of this oil is certainly swayed. It definitely smells exactly like a bottle of almond extract. It smells sweeter on my skin, but still retains it's almondy essence. Meh.. i don't like almond oils, sorry hecate!

    Kabuki

This smells like Luden's cough drops! Those sugarfree drops in the little cardboard box.. they're so yummy! I get a whiff of anise every so often, but it isn't too strong, it seems very well partnered with the cherry. At first this is a very heady perfume, a deep red brown scent. But as it's drying, it smells a teeny bit like Bordello with a bit of dragon's blood. When I sniff my wrist close up, I get a relatively unattractive anise smell, but from a ways away, I just get a hint of anise with a lot of black cherry. I really like this, it's sweet but not in a bright red, artificial way.

    The Lovers

This is kind of buttery and floral.. a little soapy as it continues to dry. I smell a faint whiff of something cinnamon-like, maybe with a splash of something sparkling and fruity. Maybe pear? I think that was the buttery smell in the beginning. Aww, this is really faint, it's been about an hour and it's already being sucked into my skin. Oh well.. it's certainly pretty.

    Vechernyaya

This smelled almost smoky to me, right out of the imp. It reminded me of a blending of Lust and a teeny dash of brimstone. Now that it's dry, I don't smell much smoke any longer, but I do smell a lovely musky fragrance. Lightly floral, but mostly musky. Every so often, a smoky and musky waft of air drifts to my nose.. and I can't say that I dislike it. I don't know if this would be an everyday scent for me, but I think I will most likely keep this imp.

    The High Priestess

This is actually minty to me? It smells quite a bit like Envy to me.. I don't smell cherries or almonds in the least amount. All I smell is a kind of an astringent minty woodiness. A little odd, since no one seems to have had that experience with this oil. Anyhow! It's a very different smell to my vanilla-loving nose. Very earthy and herbal at the same time... makes me think of an herb garden in the springtime after a rainstorm. Refreshing and green.

    Whip

Well, this is kind of nice. I know this is just blasphemy of the worst kind, but this kind of smells like... Exclamation to me. You know that little round bottle that looked like an exclamation point? I used to wear that when I was a teenager, and I loved it. Whip smells very young to me, I suppose because I'm reminded of the above perfume. It's perfumey and a little bit... commercial? I think it might be the leather that adds an odd plastic note to the rose. It's a bit richer when dry, but the first 30 minutes seriously make me feel like I just left the Walgreens with my new bottle of exclamation.

    Blood Rose

MM! I traded my bottle of peitho for a bottle of this on a whim, and I'm pleasantly surprised. This is like a rosy version of Dragon's Heart to me... which I love. At first it smells like sweet red wine.. on my skin it develops the rose nicely, it's not too obnoxious or powdery. The dragon's blood adds a spicy sweetness that really complements the rose. This actually smells like wanda without the violets and musk. Soo... it smells like the best components in wanda. I really like this, it's a more feminine alternative to dragon's heart, and I can savor this while I'm waiting for my bottle of DH to arrive.

    Beatrice

I like Beatrice... her and I play nicely together. I'm not often fond of rose blends... they're just too rosy for me. I feel too girly and pink when I wear them. Beatrice is a bit different.. though she is still awfully rosy. The roses strike me as being pink and droopy. I picture two little girls playing in a garden full of them, one of then being sweet and bubbly, the other a dark haired vixen-to-be, full of a naughtiness hinting at a violence that will emerge later in life. It's that kind of rose blend. Sweet but not so much. I really like the warm undertones.. slightly spicy, but not enough to call this a spicy blend, more just hinting at spiciness. I agree with whoever compared it to Hamadryad. I do get a bit of woodiness here, its like a rosy sister to Hamadryad. All in all, I like this... I will have to give it a full on try before I make any rash decisions as to whether or not I'll keep it.

    Neo-Tokyo

Sharp, crisp, flourescent green. It's kind of a hard edged, unnatural floral scent. The bamboo gives it a green woodiness that's grounding, but the metallics and ozone really take this one and run off with it. It eventually morphs into a blue-green aquatic scent. very clean and cool. It's pretty when the fruits come out and play, though they're stifled quickly by the mountain air.

This smells like a garden party attended by sophisticated artiso-faeries... nibbling daintily on sugared orchids and sipping liquid sunlight.

    Velvet

Huh! This smells specifically of peppermint patties on me... though i'm fairly certain that this isn't supposed to have any mint in it? Yes, it almost makes my nose tingle! It's very nice... a sweet cocoa, a bit richer than Bliss.. it doesn't have the same powdery feel to it that Bliss develops when it dries. I really like the sandalwood, it adds something that is lacking in Bliss. Dont get me wrong, I have a 10ml of Bliss, and I love it, but this might be a nice alternative. Though... I have to guiltily admit that when I sniffed this, the first thing I thought about would be how my 10ml might smell if I poured this imp of Velvet in... hmm. I may have to ponder the possibilities. All in all, I like this, but not necessarily as a replacement for Bliss... more like a variation on a theme.

    Whitechapel

How refreshing! This makes me think of the cool sweet-tart taste of limeade in the summer time. It's pretty light, though that's a plus for a men's fragrance, since most of the men that dabble in perfumes tend to *ahem* overdo it a bit. I almost kind of smell leather? I'm sure that's just my nose being odd, though. It's probably the lilac, since I don't often try oils with lilac in the notes. I like this, it's clean and a bit tangy at first.. it does dry down to a kind of soapy smell. But I love that smell... reminds me of my boyfriend just coming out of the shower. Men always smell divine when they're clean!

    The Lady of Shalott

Mr. Bubblebath! I couldn't put my finger on what was familiar about this scent until I read courtneylynn's review. Very similar. It's a very watery lily scent on me.. kind of soapy. It's pretty, but very light, it fades within an hour's wear. It's kind of a young scent, it smells a bit like one of those cute little perfumes that come with certain barbies or dolls.. bubbly and sweet and floral. Pretty but not me.

    Harvest Moon 2005

This is really quite special. It smells just like fall should smell.. fragrantly dripping with warm apple cider and mulled wine, with a whiff of crisp leaves and a bracing chill autumnal breeze. All of the wonderful things about fall, bottled. It smells fantastic in the bottle, and even better on my skin. I love this one and can't imagine who wouldn't! It's not foody or sweet or cloying... just wonderful. ETA.. though this is great in the bottle and wet... when it dries down, it kind of disappears and becomes a kind of vague spicy smell that even smells a little sour.

    Midwinter's Eve

This reminds me of cranberry sauce.. well, not cranberry sauce, but that red jello salad that features cranberry sauce as it's main ingredient. Very red, juicy and sweet. Like a dousing of yummy jiggly red jello goodness. I would say cherry jello, but we all know that cherries don't taste anything like RED jello. I like it, it's very uplifting and swoon inducing. It also KIND OF reminds me of the drydown of bordello. Sweet and red. Hope this comes back soon.
