In the bottle, I'm getting a combination of my death notes: oak, patchouli and vetiver. On my skin, I think I'm getting the dragon's blood, the amber, and the leather, with a sweeter edge from the vanilla, fig, and neroli, but the death notes soon try to fight for dominance in this. About a half hour later, it's faded to this vague nothingness. I'm going to try and layer this with her bath oil to see if it does anything in terms of scent and staying power, I think. Yeah, the bath oil makes it a bit more sharp; I'll be keeping the bath oil, I think, but the perfume oil's going to swaps/sales.

Got this as a frimp, and this has so many of my death notes that I'm kinda morbidly curious to see what happens. In the frimp, I'm getting lemon and lavender. On my skin, it's this naaasty combination of lemon and lavender. Need to get this off, NOW.

In the imp, I'm definitely getting the poppy, opium, and narcissus, and it's a really sharp, unpleasant smell. On me, it's a combination of doctor's office and sharp floral. Uhm, no. Swaps.

In the frimp, I get a sharp sort of floral scent. On me, Zorya is that same short of sharp, vague floral scent initially, but it quickly fades away, which makes me think that there's a cousin of lavender in this somewhere.

In the frimp, I get lily, and what I think is black musk. Not sure, just a guess. On me, I get this beautiful lily scent with this dark undertone, not sure what it is, but it's absolutely gorgeous. Bottle, for sure.

Got this as a frimp with my eBay winnings, and just looking at the note list, the lavender makes me nervous, as it has a tendency to wipe a blend to nothing on me. In the imp, I can definitely smell the lavender. Uh-oh. On me, the other florals appear to be fighting the lavender, with a vague floral/greenery scent on me. I'm pretty sure that I'm getting lilac and rose here first and foremost, with the other notes lurking underneath. A nice scent, but not anything that I need more than an imp of.

A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers. 2005 Blend In the bottle, this smells like...Play-Doh. That's not a good sign. And on my skin, I'm getting that same Play-Doh scent, with a hint of sharp greenery. Bwa? Why you do this to me? Swaps/sales. This doesn't bode well for '09...

I was generously given a tester of this in a recent swap by Mazaru; I'm eager to see how this turns out on me. In the imp, I'm getting a really sharp fruity floral, and I'm thinking this needs to get on my skin now. There's just enough in here for a thumb test; on my skin, it's a really beautiful fruity floral... and of course the DC'd scent is absolutely amazing on me. *facedesk* Will keep the tester to use up the drops in the bottom; in the meantime, this is going on the ISO list.

Got a tester of this with just enough to do a thumb test. It seems pretty straightforward rose here, with a darkening hint of the ambers and musks, I think? A nice scent, but not anything I particularly need an imp/bottle of.

In the imp, I get a really strong red wine note, with the rose. This should be interesting. On my skin, I'm getting the red wine, but that mellows out to a sinister mix with the rose and the black musk. This'll stay, but I don't think I'll need anything more than the imp.

In the imp, this smells like straight up leather. Oh. This is gonna be good, I hope. On my skin, this is LEATHER, with a sweet edge. This is what I wanted Whip to be on me. Bottle. No questions asked.

In the imp, I'm getting what I think is a blend of all the flowers, with the tuberose being a bit sharper than most. On my skin, this smells like really, really heady florals, which I'm thinking is the frangipani and tuberose interacting with the jasmine and the rose. This scent just isn't working for me; it's a nice heady floral, but not anything I particularly want to smell like. Swaps.

Just got a hold of a decant of this. In the decant, I get a similar smell to Opium Poppy; bittersweet, with what I think might be the patchouli underneath. On my skin, I'm getting the black currant and the poppy and lilies with the musk, and the patchouli and nicotania don't appear to be showing up. But it's starting to take on a similar nature to a more feminine version of my father's cologne, which I'm pinning on the nicotania. ...And yeah, this is a more feminine version of my father's cologne on me. Something tells me this has a lot to do with the nicotania/tobacco flower note; should watch out for that. Swaps.

Just got my hands on a decant of this, eager to try it out. In the decant, I get cane sugar and really sweet fruit. On my skin, the maple sugar aspect of it amps, with a sweet fruit/floral undertone. Oh, wow, this is good. Gonna need to track down a bottle of this.

In the imp, I get what I'm pretty sure is patchouli and maybe wood? This is probably not going to turn out well. ...Yep. Patchouli and a really sharp woody note that goes straight to doctor's office, and the rest of it turns it into hairspray. Uhm. No. Swaps.

Got a tester of this in a recent swap; all I can do with this one is sniff. I get a really faint honey-berry sort of scent; I think I'm going to want to try a decant of this, mainly because what I'm getting in here is so faint.

In the decant, I got a lot of ginger and the patchouli or spices; on my thumb, I'm getting the honeysuckle, I think, and the blood-soaked musks, with a hint of spices, a darkly sexy scent. Bottle, I'm thinking.

In the imp, I get a faint berry-grassish sort of scent. On my skin, it's predominantly grass with a berry undertone. Eh. Predominantly sunny grass on me, not really doing much for me. Swaps.

In the imp, I get a bitter sort of fruit and a woody undertone. On my skin, really, really bitter citrus and wood and okay, it's making my nose burn. Ow. Swaps.

Got this as a tester in a recent swap; I get a Centzon Totochtin, with a sharper sort of bite to it. Not anything I'm going to particularly seek out more of, I think, and will put it up for swap for someone else.

In the imp, I'm getting a sharp sort of floral, almost citrusy. On my skin, this goes very citrusy very quickly, which confuses me just a bit. ...And now it's wood polish. >< Swaps.

I got a tester of this, just enough to drop on a finger. I get a milky herbal sort of scent; doesn't really appeal to me, so will pass it on via swaps, methinks.

In the imp, this smells like mandarin and the opium, first and foremost. Once on my skin, it's mandarin and opium, with the Lily of the Valley coming out to balance it. A pretty, delicate scent, but not anything that I need a bottle of, I think. Might layer well with Les Infortunes, too.

A really tangy floral in the imp, which I think is the roses and the lotuses playing off of each other, and it's the same on my skin, and utterly beautiful. It morphs into a tangy scent that's reminiscent of Bathsheba and The Witch Queen; nice scents, but, not anything I particularly need a bottle of.

In the imp, I get chocolate, and very very red wine, maybe mixed with the blood note? On my skin, the red wine/blood note dominates, with chocolate soon after. It mellows into a sharper cherry note, with the cocoa going a bit dusty. A nice scent, but, it's not anything that screams bottle to me. Will stay as an imp.
