    Squirting Cucumber

Squirting Cucumber is a very evocative scent for me. It smells exactly like a cucumber salad with a hint of lush green grass underneath, and makes me feel like I'm preparing food for a summer garden party. Yummy, fresh and moodlifting! My favorite green scent.

Can I use BPAL to train my nose?

Reading the reviews on this forum is what helps me most to develop my sense of smell. I'm still a beginner, though. Sometimes I read a scent description, sniff the scent on my wrist and think "Oh, that's what ____ smells like! Ha!". Sometimes I'm just confused. Here are some "easy" scents (with one or two dominating note(s)) to get you started (some of those impressions might depend on my skin chemistry): Two, Five and Seven for the rose garden. Squirting Cucumber is cucumber (and a bit of grass). Yvaine for lavender and magnolia. The Dormouse or Shanghai for tea. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat has many notes listed, but on me it's pure melon. Pink Snowballs: soft roses and vanilla. Queen of Sheba is mostly almonds. Either O or Womb Furie for honey. Embalming Fluid aka lemon. Bensiabel for plum and lilac. Penitence and Cathedral are different simple incense scents. Other simple scents: Faustus, Glasgow, Eat Me, Persephone, Regan, Carnal. In my experience, it's easier to recognize foody notes, because you've smelled and tasted and put a name to many of them before.

    Womb Furie

Like O, this is bottled honey. Unlike O, Womb Furie smells quite nice to me. But where are you hiding, Snake Oil? If you love honey, you'll love this. Otherwise it's a bit boring.

    Eat Me

At first this smells like extremely sweet squishy vanilla cake (the kind which makes you sick just by looking at it ), but fortunately the currants intervene and turn it into yummy cake plus fresh berries once it dries down. Yay! Surprisingly my wrist still smells (indistinctly) nice 15 hours later.
  5. As mari4212 wrote, it depends on what notes you like. If you enjoy the way you smell, most likely you'll feel sexy, too. So, what do you like? To give you a few ideas though: My favorite sexy scent is Hell's Belle (Sweet, smoky and sensually wicked. A thick, steamy scent, truly sinister in its voluptuous sexuality. The perfume of a demon's favored consort, or of the devil herself. Oleander with wet, sweet mandarin, lush magnolia, a rush of deep musk and a touch of spice.). But then I LOVE magnolia. A more subtle and "sophisticated lady" type of scent would be Manhattan (Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid.).
