    Chartreuse Dragon

Gorgeous in vial, sunlight-dappled lime green. Citrus can get sharp on me but this is lovely. My experience is that lime normally disappears early and moss takes over scents but we'll see. On my skin, very slightly soapy. Moss with herbs and citrus, really getting the sense of mossy rocks.

    Dangers Untold

A soap bubble. Not super acrid, kind of fruity. Opens into hairspray, a big fancy dress, makeup (especially berry scented lipstick).Artificial and fancy

    Suave Gravedigger

If you told me this was a cowboy themed scent, I would believe it. I get gently dusty suede with unobtrusive clove cologne. The dust is limestone like and clean smelling. Nice, but I'm not rugged enough for this. On the drydown my skin turns this into a light, slightly musky butterscotch.
  4. Pizza crust. I can even smell the cornmeal on the bottom to stop it from sticking. I can smell places where it’s slightly but not quite burnt. I can smell a thin ring of tomato sauce around the edge. my skin seems to eat this which is a shame because it’s surprisingly wearable. All sweet yeasty salty olive oil bread and herbs without notable garlic, yet still smelling like pizza. I smell delicious and I don't want to be right either.

    Hungry Ghost Moon 2025

Immediately honeyed beeswax, which gives way to a dominant white musk and also the scent of oregano if oregano could be ghostly white. Occasionally there's a bit of cardboard and yeast blending into the beeswax. Like frizzlechicken said, very summer-to-fall I thought that the honey, white musk and pizza would be weird together and it kind of is, but it's not offputting. Occasionally I get ghostly oregano pizza, occasionally I get a floral-like honey/white musk. It's nice.

The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses

I love myrrh. Also I’ve tried a lot of book scents and they tend to vanish pretty quickly or generally be underwhelming as scents. I get a lot of ink here, though it’s hard to distinguish from myrrh. I want to say this is industrial, except it doesn’t smell as artificial as something like Smokestack or even Streets of Detroit . I do get parchment too. This gives me the image of someone tossing parchment into a field of smoldering incense. I love it but it does smell unsettlingly like, well, a strongly worded letter of condemnation from someone Biblical.

    Snake in the Grass

I like Snake Oil. I liked Easter Egg Hunt Grass Stain SN. But I do not like these smells together. Nothing wrong with the grass. It’s very realistic, damp and fresh cut. Like a smoothie made of nothing but grass. To my nose, the SO makes the bitterness of wet grass stand out. It smells mildewed, even. Normally I like to hang onto SO blends to see how they age but I swapped this one almost immediately.

    Baba Yaga

The first time I tried this I got canned pineapple. No idea why, but probably the iron. This time, with a different imp it feels more of a soft musk. (The patchouli plus moss and moth dust feels soft and brown.) Very accurate moth dust actually. Cluttered antique store shelves. There's still an underlying sweetness that smells a bit like pineapple to me, but I wouldn't consider it pineapple if I hadn't tried that other imp years earlier.

    Death Moon 2025

Instantly jasmine-forward. A little soapy, but it's mild and I don't find it offensive. Smells toxic in an appropriate way. If you've ever heard someone compare a perfume to bug spray, this is probably what they had in mind...but it's not bad or overwhelming, only toxic. A humid southern night with a touch of waxy non-too sweet berries. The incense is hard to distinguish, mostly it makes the florals seem sweeter and more exotic. Very much a summer scent. It is now raining outside. The humidity is bringing out everything here even moreso and I'm being overcome with the smell of wafting jasmine and bittersweet wine and sugared incense. The final stage is incense (frankincense?) colored with bergamot and the dried up dregs of sugary absinthe.

    Frog Moon 2025

This is a wet green plonk of a scent that fits both the poem and the sad frog on the label. I can tell there's vetiver but it doesn't stick out. Likewise there's some floral that gets a little stronger on the drydown. Overall, the linden (maybe with the honeywort?) is the strongest element I get. It has a bit of a medicinal edge, like witch hazel or something.

    Krampuslaufen

Dark, foody, spicy, Christmas. (I guessed cinnamon but there is none. Must be apple schnapps and mint). Anyway this is a mild red and black scent. Quite cozy and not overpowering.

    The Phenomena of Witchcraft

Wooden pickles, but in a good way? Some really present cloves and green bay and balsam. Dries down to the scent of money. Or at least I associate money with this scent.

    Paladin

I would have guessed white sandalwood. Very clean, a little vanilla peeking out. I often don't like soapy scents and this isn't not soapy. But it's not acrid and I am enjoying this a lot. The frankincense and leather may be helping. Image: white wood in a frame of metal filigree. White leather and gold frankincense detailing. This is improved by pairing it with Elf. It just adds a little pale wood, sunshine and leaves.

    Nag Champa?

Seconding Urd for strong grape champa and if you see Snooty Bat on the sales page, that might be good. Especially if you'd like something sweet with clove. Currently Goose Moon has a duet that is just Nag Champa and White Gardenia
  15. patina

    Cleric

Powdery rose, the powder being supplied by the amber and frankincense, I'd assume. On the bright side, champa is incredibly iffy on me but here it's well behaved and wonderful. I know this isn't the blends thread, but this scent is a jarring disaster with Orc. Drow is some amazing purple incense, though. The sweetness really tempers the powdery Cleric.

    Drider Crossing Guard

Astringent airy tea with plum and fig. This is perfumey in the sense that it is clean and almost aldehyde-ish. Nutmeg and pepper play well, blending in and providing just a hint of warm earthiness. This is firmly in the conventional purple perfume family of smells. Similar to a lot of other scents I like, but I keep wanting to smell this one.

    Aasimar

That is a white amber, yes. I definitely smell cardamom and vanilla in the mix and it's not powdery. This is absolutely beautiful but seems to be lacking something. However, layering? Amazing. I've only tried Fighter so far but I want to try Bard and Assassin.

    Deep Gnome Pastry Chef

Whatever baked good this is smells like it has glaze on top. As far as the fruit, I really can't tell what it is but I think it's cooked. I'm flashing back to muffins with strawberry or apple chunks or maybe even those fake blueberries. I don't know why the cardamom is making me think specifically of muffins but it is. verdict: nom. This is foody. This is uber foody. Quiets down pretty quickly though.

    Dragonborn

That is a dragon's blood that doesn't turn into overwhelming red candy on me. The leather, acid, and ozone all stay in balance (at least so far). Not sweet. It smells chemical, but not in a bad way at all. I have Tiefling on one hand and Dragon Born on the other and this is the one I keep going back to sniff. It's weirdly compelling.

    Tiefling

Quiet but emphatic patchouli with red musk and faint brimstone/clove. Smooth, sweet and spicy. It's not super quiet on me but it's quieter than the notes alone would suggest. Would be a good winter scent. I generally like sweet patchouli with red musk and this is subtle version, wearable in most* situations. (*Unless the situation calls for no perfume, or more neutral scents.)

    RPG Combos

Drow + Assassin: Perfect match. The berries and leather add complexity. Lawful Drow Assassin Lawful isn't contributing very much here. It's there and it's not bad but that's all. Lawful Good Drow Assassin: Straight up purple rock sugar candy and darkness. Way too sweet. I'm pretty sure Good would have the candy effect on Drow even without the other elements, but Assassin's berries may really be cranking it up and adding a darker backdrop. There's a slightly lemony component which might be the Lawful. Evil Drow: Another good match, Evil cuts some of the purple lollipop sweetness of Drow. Drow Cleric: I don't like Cleric paired with most other things but the somewhat powdery rose and champa goes well here. Evil Drow Cleric is a natural match.

    Drow

That certainly is a plum perfume. I also tend to automatically read plum scents as perfume. It's dark and about medium strength. I'm not getting much complexity. It's nice, but to me there's not a lot that would make me choose it over other plum perfumes. Drider Crossing Guard might be more to my taste. Either that or wearing the scent layered. (By the way, Assassin fits this one well.)

    Orc Massage Therapist

Green banana peels? This is murky and balanced and clean. In fact, fine: I am imagining an orc massage therapist right now. I don't know if I'll wear it but it is nice and relaxing.

    The Serpent in the Lilacs

In the bottle I can smell a pollen rich floral mingling with the snake oil. Already this is a beautiful spring scent. I imagine this will make a lot of people happy. On, the lilac comes out strong and the SO is making it even louder. I'd compare it to the world's most amped up spring floral drier sheets, except the lilac is way better than that. The closest comparison I can make is Cottonmouth, but they're not that close. Verdict so far: lovely but my skin amps it and turns it into something nearly medicinal.

The Serpent in the Opium Poppies

New snake oil blends are weird at first and this is no exception. Immediately after putting this on I smelled something faintly fruity, a bit like strawberry candy. Maybe the plum cognac and snake oil's possible red musk? I do smell a watery poppy as well. I know from experience the Snake Oil will get stronger after some aging. It's pretty shy right now. If I wasn't so eager to do some testing and reviewing I would wait because I can't really imagine what this will age into. A darker opium and a more realized Snake? Watch this space.
