Nutty oudh. The oudh is more prevalent on wet, and as it dries, you get more nutty pecan. It's a dry, not-sweet, gourmand blend. Basically this smells like actual pecans, with a dry background and a whiff of spice. Good throw and wear length.

Red Mandarin, French Lavender & Juniper
zankoku_zen replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Lavender, mandarin, and underneath a bed of juniper. It's green, herbal, and reminds me to French provence blends. It's got that fresh, clean, herby smell. Would make a great room scent. Medium throw and wear length. -
Cardamom, balsam, and reeds. Dry, and yet I think the papyrus give it an aquatic quality. It's mainly a green cardamom and balsam, with that papyrus overlay. It's definitely strange, but also evocative of Egypt. It makes me think of water receding from the dark rich silty river bank. Medium throw and wear length.

Bergamot, lavender, and frankincense. This smells.... uplifting and golden without being golden but you still that great impression of light. This smells comforting, and good, and smells like a pat on the head from the great divine. 10/10 would definitely buy this as a magickal oil. This would be a great oil for anything solar or Regulus. If you've ever wanted a Crown of Light, get this. It sort of reminds me to some of the S&S series, particularly Luminous Crown, but more into the solar aspects of that.

Black leather, oudh, resin, and did I mention black leather? Yeah, this smells like aged black leather, whiff of oudh, sweet resin, and a touch of beeswax. Definitely masculine on me. Great throw and wear length.

Salty water, pear, touches of gardenia and whiff of cedar. This one smells like it would be a great female pirate/mermaid blend. Slightly feminine, lots of water, hits of florals and salty woods. Good throw and wear length.

This one smells expensive, and fancy, and expansive. It's a golden musky light with touches of fruit and frankincense. But it just smells like the golden light that plays through a window onto a highly polished wooden floor. This is what Queen Charlotte's palace smells like in Bridgerton. FANCY. Great throw and wear length.

Red musk, touch of oudh, labdanum, and it smells musky and inky. There's something smoky, and resinous labdanum underneath, and it smells like an old timey resin that has become tainted, poisoned by age and something evil. Good throw and wear length.

Inky pom, a hint of blackcurrant, and deep woods. This was a dark purple fruit with a woody background, and in the drydown you get a hint of roses and deep woodsy background, and a touch of sweet amber. For me its definitely purple-red velvet. Good throw and wear length.

Black tea, currant cake, mandrake root, a whirl of dried leaves, and hearthsmoke.

See how here the tulip- there the rose, By a group of bronze and marble statuaries, In the park where love frolics under trees, Sing through my nights, pink and monotonous. The flowerbeds sang at eve in joyful chords Where the moonlight’s dance is a shifting show And where, sultry and sad, their high notes go, Troubling the pure dreams of solitary birds. See how here the tulip there the rose And crystal lilies, crimson in twilight, Radiate sadly to the sun in flight That bears away from beasts and things their woes. And my ravaged love, like bleeding flesh, makes whole Its wounds and lets its madness find repose. See how the lily, tulip, and the rose Weep for the memories that wash my soul. - Emile Nelligan Ravaged love, like bleeding flesh, makes whole its wounds: lily, tulip and rose shimmering in the moonlight, brushed by a quiet autumn breeze. Soirs d'Automne is a delicate floral. I actually get a fair amount of tulip, which is exciting to me. Tulip smells like a delicate floral, buoyed by some pink rose and a brush of lily. It's definitely a pink/white floral. Great throw, great wearlength. There's a bit of vanilla musk in the drydown, I think. I'd actually give this to a young girl that wants an accessible but sophisticated floral. This would also be a gateway floral to non-BPALers who like florals but want something better and more sophisticated. This has a 'young' aspect to it which I actually really love. Gorgeous.

This is a dual-purpose protection and anti-anxiety blend. As the saying goes - in a crisis, you have to put your oxygen mask on first before you can help anyone else, and this oil is designed to help you calm and center yourself, protect yourself, and grant yourself space and clarity so you can move forward in strength to assist and support others. This oil contains ylang ylang, elemi, chamomile, and blue tansy.
