I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. Oscar Wilde Lilith has loved the theater since we first took her to see Matilda when she was five. She loves musicals, she loves plays, she loves Shakespeare and Sondheim. She loves huge productions and local improv, she loves Hamlet and drag revues. She loves the pageantry and the intimacy, and loves performing in shows and attending shows equally. This is the scent of the pile of junk food that accompanies us to almost every performance: chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, caramel corn, and a little slurp of soda. Chocolate chip cookies, sugar and a whiff of pretzels. Pretty much this smells like chocolate chip cookies. Medium throw and wear length.

Lighting the path between worlds, the beacon at the threshold: night-blooming jasmine, smoldering maple leaves, a cluster of patchouli and blackened ti leaf, black sage, and pinewood smoke.

That whisper takes the voice Of a Spirit, speaking to me, Close, but invisible, And throws me under a spell At the kindling vision it brings; And for a moment I rejoice, And believe in transcendent things That would make of this muddy earth A spot for the splendid birth Of everlasting lives, Whereto no night arrives; And this gaunt gray gallery A tabernacle of worth On this drab-aired afternoon, When you can barely see Across its hazed lacune If opposite aught there be Of fleshed humanity Wherewith I may commune; Or if the voice so near Be a soul’s voice floating here. —Thomas Hardy Marbled white iris, white tobacco flower, Italian bergamot, white leather, and Mysore sandalwood. Iris and tobacco flower on wet, but it dries to a white sandalwood with touches of leather. So it goes from a very cold white floral blend to a sort of powdery white leather blend. Low throw but good wear length.

Piquant and dirty.

Plummy aquatics. Dark, cool, salty opium and plum. Medium throw and wear length.
-
Cardamom, wood, and a whiff of patchouli and pepper. This one is a dark woodsy spice blend. Good throw and wear length.
-
Rosemary, jasmine, and oakmoss cologne. It's soft, slightly masculine, and definitely a cologne type of blend. Medium throw and wear length.

Moonlit white musk, French cade, purple oud, and deep indigo lavender buds salted on a sea breeze.
-
Bittersweet orange blossom, blackcurrant, labdanum, and winter roses splashed with tears.

Sweet grasses turn into a grassy sandalwood, balsam and a whiff of musky pine. Good throw and wear length.

Osthmanthus smells like a white-ish floral to me. The mandarin provides a citrus overlay, so it ends up like a soft, white floral with citrus overtones. Medium throw and wear length.

Chewy caramel and ground coffee. The coffee is slightly perfumey, so I think the Turkish coffee description is also accurate. Medium throw and wear length.

Strawberry candy, and a whiff of honey. This is a bright, sugary strawberry. Very straight forward. Very tasty. Good throw and wear length.
-
Sweet roses, hint of spicy pink pepper. Soft, pink roses. Good throw and wear length.
-
Woody, gritty vetiver with a bit black currant. It's dark, woody, and gritty. Good throw and wear length.

Spicy cologney tobacco and pine resin. This codes as very masculine to me. Good throw and wear length.
-
Honeyed jasmine and red musk. Hints of hay and red sandalwood. Heady, sexy. Great throw and wear length.
-
Salty aquatic cologne. I feel like Irish Spring went to sea, and decided to become a pirate. Great throw and wear length.

Hell's bells. This smells exactly like crisp, wet, juicy iceberg lettuce leaves. It's cool, green, and lettuce. The throw is terrible. The wear length is worse. I am not surprised given how OLD this sucker is, but when you first apply it, you get this bloom of cool green lettuce on your skin. The small drydown almost tinges it toward green apple skins. It just smells fresh.

This is cocoa beans rolling around the dirty rooty earth. It's basically a very earth cocoa blend on me. Imagine if you'd been digging in the cool earth, but instead of dirt its ground cocoa. Yup, you got it. Medium throw and wear length.

Red sandalwood and a whiff of hemp. Basically, I'm getting a ton of red sandalwood. It's sort of delicate. Very lovely.

Herby woody iron, with a whiff of booze. It's definitely metallic on the drydown. I feel like I am smelling something like fennel and coriander in it. Again, veering into masculine territory on me. Good throw and wear length.
