A single, grave-cold finger, gently stroked the length of your spine: frosted eucalyptus, ti leaf, white bergamot, peppermint, and absinthe.

A complex perfume inspired by Ritualcravt owner Missy Rhysing’s notable devotional garden filled with black flowering and black foliaged plants, rarities, and plants historically associated with the goddess Hekate. This oil is a nod to our first BPAL perfume Ritualcravt with a similar genderless, earthy, and addictive quality- but with a brighter, greener finish. Notes of plants sacred to Her include: honeyed patchouli root, tobacco absolute, saffron crocus, teakwood, and burnt cypress. Again, this is a scent review from decanting. Honeyed patch, tobacco, but definitely more greenery in this one. It's mainly a dark green scent on me with a very clear patch base, with tobacco mixed in.

Hmm, did they hide all the green goodness in the donut, or in the glaze, or both? Better lap up every crumb n’ speck from the wax paper sleeve, just to be sure.

Peach, iris root, King mandarin, and lime rind. UGH. Was not expecting to be the first one. Peach X is pretty peachy, with a big hint of mandarin citrus and a touch of iris. It's a soft, delicate peach blend. For me, iris root becomes very powdery on the drydown, which gives this a very Pez-like dimension. I mean PEACH PEZ. Which immediately amps up the nostalgia factor, for no reason at all, whatsoever. Peachy, powdery, nostalgia.

A sassy strawberry red musk chypre. So neither BPAL strawberry or red musk have been great notes for me. With that huge caveat, Jaunty Cap is probably the most surprising dragon to me. I've been loving the BPAL strawberry note that has been in use lately (ever since 2012), since it stays fresh and sweet on me as opposed to turning to plastic. That said, sometimes it would be too sweet. And here, the red musk has been sweetened and tamed. For me the strawberry is more like strawberry leaf, as there's quite a bit of fresh greenness around the edges. There's also another element on the drydown that grounds the musk down. I've decanted all of the 2017 dragons, and this is the one I'd keep for myself. Part of me wanted to lie in the review and go "Horrible, give to me for proper disposal". Medium throw and great wear length.

Umber champaca, saffron, frankincense, yellow bergamot, well-worn leather, a cluster of pampas, and a faint whiff of rose petals and baby’s breath.
