I love the white leather in The White Rider (GC - Marchen blend); it's like the softest buttery suede note ever. This isn't strongly leathery on me, though, and I'm not loving the rose note, which is going kind of sharp and sour on my skin. The musk gives it a bit of a perfumey, powdery dryness. Mostly a warm, dry, sharp & sour red rose scent on my skin. Only lasted a couple hours, and I find myself wishing it had more leather and more sweetness to it.

Mostly red musk, but with some baby powder from the golden amber, a weird, burning mesquite bbq tone from the vetiver, and a dry spiciness from the carnation. Not my favorite red musk blend.- 16 replies

I didn't like this when I first got it, because the emphasis was on all of the notes that I didn't want - sharp, perfumey/musky, white tuberose, herbal lavender and baby powdery white sandalwood. With age, though, this has lost some of the floral sharpness to let in the dark, incensey resins, and the moonflower's sweet, cool, powdery tones keep it from smelling like pure baby powder on my skin. Dark violets, cool and sweet moonflower, and incense with a backdrop of sharp tuberose department store perfuminess and a hint of herbal lavender. The lavender and moonflower make it smell like a night/sleep blend, but the other notes give it a sexy edge. Not my favorite, because still the tuberose, but I've felt like keeping my decant.

Sharp, soapy white lily and baby powder from the sandalwood and amber. I can smell a hint of sour rose in the drydown, but no wine.

This is awful on me - baby powder, harsh woodsmoke and soapy rose. Three of my least favorite things.- 9 replies

Beautiful, sensual, gothic fragrance. It's mainly sweet red wine with a hint of smoky leather and a background of champaca incense and snuffed out candles, swirling and smoky.

Bright, rich, golden, sweet frankincense and sweet, spicy clove with just a hint of tobacco smoke. Like Cathedral with a smoked sweet clove added in.

The sandalwood and mintiness smell like spearmint chewing gum on my skin, mixed with a creamy, soapy rose and gardenia scent. Clean, cool, powdery floral.

Départ Pour Le Sabbat (Aufbruch Zum Hexensabbat)

The lab's red patchouli and oud are iffy on me, but I love this blend. The patch and oud have this warm, dry, slightly smoky woods smell, all wrapped up in the sweet, creamy, foodie notes. I love the goat's milk note (creamy, cool, smooth, milky, amazing), and the vanilla and honey sweeten it up beautifully. It winds up being a creamy, sweetened, woody patchouli. So gorgeous.- 37 replies

Sharp, damp, sappy green leaves and dark green ivy with a hint of soft, black soil and sweet, woody fig. I almost like it initially, though the greenery is a bit sharp and sour. The drydown starts to shift into smoky evergreen, like someone set the cypress on fire and threw it into the middle of the greenery, and the dampness is turning a little soapy. I don't get along great with green scents, and the smoke and soap in this one are off putting to me.

I agree that this is cologne-like. The lavender is turning sour and strange on my skin, with a sort of dry, sour undertone from the moss, something like sour lemons, and it smells oddly musky and clean. I like my lavenders to be sweeter and more creamy/smooth. This is a soured cologne scent on me.

First on, this smells like pumpkin pancakes dusted with cinnamon and drizzled with melted butter, maple syrup and caramel. It was so sweet, but fun, and I'd be hoarding bottles if it stayed that way. Unfortunately, the spice amps up in the drydown and I'm getting a strange, waxy honey (like beeswax more than clover honey) note that really makes this smell like a generic pumpkin spice candle, with a hint of maple syrup.

Ashy, smoky vetiver and a really sour, sharp apricot and citrusy tea. I don't like this one at all.

I like the lab's fig perfumes, as they always smell sticky-sweet, slightly chocolatey, and slightly woody to me, like real figs. Intrigue is still my favorite fig blend, with actual chocolate and wood playing up those nuances. But I kinda like this one too, with the cinnamon pumpkin spice sprinkled over the chewy fig note, on a bed of soft, dry cedar. I don't get the vanilla or resins.

The original smells weirdly like black licorice rolled in black cherry flavored kool-aid powder to me. This is no licorice and less powder, but kinda smells like someone dumped black cherry kool-aid powder into some cherry flavored cough syrup. I have a hard time wearing cherry blends, because they tend to either smell like cough syrup or smell way too sweet, like maraschino cherry juice. This one is cough syrup.

Sin on its own is almost overwhelmingly cinnamony, so adding cinnamon pumpkin spice to it is too much for me. This smells like sharp cinnamon red hots candies, and turns my skin red and burns where applied...

I actually don't like Morocco, and bpal's pumpkin blends tend to turn to pure cinnamon on my skin, but this is wearable to me. The pumpkin note is very buttery, and I love buttery scents, and it somehow makes the powdery vanilla of Morocco not so dry and blah on my skin. I still smell cinnamon, but it's lighter. The whole blend is light, like Morocco (which has almost no throw and lasts 3 hours tops on me). Warm, powdery vanilla, buttery pumpkin and a hint of cinnamon...

Spiced apple air freshener? Has a perfumey/powdery edge to it and a sort of nondescript fruitiness + apple cider candle. This one started to give me a headache and I only wore it once for a few minutes.

Tons of cinnamon and the tiniest hint of frankincense and sweet honey. Reminds me of Bengal, but the honey is more apparent in Bengal.

The description for this sounded like one of my favorite Solstice Scents blends - Jack & The Devil - which is notes of: "Vanilla, tobacco, oakmoss, amber, patchouli, pumpkin and soft spice." So if anyone is looking for this sort of scent, I'd recommend checking them out With Jack & The Devil, I can actually smell all of the listed notes, where bpal's pumpkin scents tend to smell overwhelmingly of cinnamon spice in these later years. I get mostly cinnamon from Pumpkin II '14, with a hint of earthy patchouli after about an hour. The other notes just can't come out over the heavy pumpkin spice.

This just smells like cinnamon on me, and burns my skin where applied.

Red musk dominates as usual, with the pomegranate adding its weird, powdery sweet tarts candy thing to the overall red and fruity feel of the red musk. As it dries down, the patchouli and vetiver are noticeable, adding a dark, earthy, smoky edge to the musk. For some reason, this smells sort of flat and ashy to me. Pomegranate rarely works on me, though.

I love rose geranium, so I enjoy this blend. It's like a spicy, green, herbal scent with rose tones. I can't pick out most of the other notes, except for a dark, resinous, syrupy sweetness added by the opoponax and a soft, dry earth from the patchouli. Rose geranium on an earthy, resinous base.

Masculine, spicy cedar. I can definitely smell the black pepper and bay, and I love their sharp, dry spiciness, over a warm, spicy cedar. It would have been full bottle worthy, but the golden amber turns to baby powder in the drydown, and I can't stand that powdery undertone.

Watery, green cucumber, a weird and chemical hairspray smell (like what I usually get from the opium poppy note) and a powdery white musk feel.
