  1. Y'all.

I have been so thoroughly spoiled by @FloridaFledgling. This package was so lovely and thoughtful.

Here is everything all unboxed. The vintage cats just delight me.

    And here is everything unwrapped.

The Sun - the wreath is gorgeous and with the berries and the pinecones and lights is so up my alley.  It is gorgeous and I will feature it every year!

Light - a lovely scented candle and a fabulous matchbox- there's a snake on the other side!

My spirit animal - a handpainted ornament based on one of our kitties!

Warming - pure shea butter. I cannot wait to play with this and there's nothing better for my winter chapped hands.

Den Time - the cutest mug and a fruity honeybush tea that sounds delish!

Oh! And yesterday,  I opened the 3rd (!) day zero gift - a freaking amazing chocolate bar.

Thank you so so much. This past week has been one of the busiest and just weirdest weeks I've had in a long time, mostly in good ways personally,  but lots of bad more broadly and just weird and stressful. This was so lovely and grounding and just perfect.  :wub2:

  2. So I did decide to open my package last night, very carefully so as to preserve the paper and what a beautiful bounty! The presentation of everything is just delightful!

These are all the labeled goodies set aside for Solstice.

And there were 3 day zero prezzies, which aligned perfectly with opening one each remaining day leading up to Sunday.

So last night I chose the velvety pouch and had so much fun playing with all sorts of goodies from my wishlist!

I've had a cold for the past week and finally started to actually smell things yesterday,  so this was extra special!

Then today my kitties got some goodies! (They are being spoiled this season).

  3. The tack is here!  Skyelyric has spoiled me (and my cats) rotten.

I am a doof and failed to get before photos, but here is the main event:

This sparkly, velvety, absolutely adorable hammerhead shark. I love him!

Then there is this absolute pile of goodies:

The cutest holiday socks, delicious molasses shortbread coins, Japanese whiskey samples which I am super excited to try,  a nommy Ritter bar, and 3 catnip pillows for my 3 cats.  And 2 luscious lip balms that slipped out of frame. (Plus the amazing book that arrived earlier! )

While I was photographing, the youngins were certain the box was for them.

And Potato,  who absolutely loves thes pillows, is now in squirrelly boy heaven.

it's hard to see, but he is hugging and frantically licking one of the pillows.

    Thank you so much Skyelyric!

  4. Catching up here. Apologies for being distant.  Been dealing with some family drama. I have made a blog post with answers to in thread questions (see my sig).

Looking forward to bringing some light!

    ETA: New Questions!

Do you have any interest in any of the Yule products from Paintbox Soapworks

Do you have any interest in a  mystery puzzle game that can be played solo or multi-player? Usually these involve murder and a variety of logic puzzles. This would be played through, but carefully so as to allow for replay by you and yours.

Also, shortbread in various flavors - yea or nea? I can do something gingerbready or peppermint or rose or lavender or orange or chocolate or plain or combinations thereof.

  5. I have been super scattered because some family stuff hit the fan a few weeks ago, but I already have some delightful tack, a yummy snack, and ideas.

On that note, if y'all could let me know if there's anything you are itching for from the Paintbox Soapworks yule collection, that would be mighty helpful!

ETA - While I'm issuing queries, Do you have any interest in a  mystery puzzle game that can be played solo or multi-player? Usually these involve murder and a variety of logic puzzles. This would be played through, but carefully so as to allow for replay by you and yours.

Also, shortbread in various flavors - yea or nea? I can do something gingerbready or peppermint or rose or lavender or orange or chocolate or plain or combinations thereof or other spices (pie spice, anise, five spice...).

For my part on both of these, I am probably going to go ahead and order anything I'm looking for from Paintbox.

I am ALWAYS interested in puzzle games. I have subscribed to Deadbolt for a couple of years and am mostly caught up on anything that's been reissued from their back catalogue, but I am always interested in new options.

Please send me all the baked goods. ALL OF THEM. ;)
