    Black Death

This reminded me of Voodoo crossed with German Expressionist Horror or Schwarzer Mond or something. It was dark and deep and rich, with a decidedly masculine (on my skin) overtone to it. There is a sweetness as well. Overall this is predominantly patchouli and smoky sandalwood, with a hint of clove and lime underneath. It does go a little powdery on me though. Hmmm... I like it, but I'm not in love with it.

    Mlle. Lilith, Fortune Teller

Well, this is surprising. I like this a whole lot more than I thought I would. There is a fruity/candy like sweetness here with an incense undertone. It's actually quite a complex blend on me, and maybe that's why I like it so much. The pomegranate is a dominant note on my skin. I was worried that the sugar would go off on me, as it usually does, but it didn't happen here. The pink musk is a little sweet and fruity, and I can just barely detect the orange blossom too. I like this alot. It's light and sweet.

    Black Heart

There is something here that is reminds me of Slightly Haunted Dollhouse on my skin. I think it may be the carnation and the "grape". Wet, there is a lot of sugary sweetness, sweetpea and a hint of vanilla. Dry, the sandalwood comes out more and the similarity to SHD becomes more noticeable. It's sweet and very light on me. Nice, but very "girly".

    Lucy, Kissed

So this was primarily red musk on me in the wet stages. As it dried, the rose came out a little more. There are parts of this that remind me of The Grindhouse, and Marianne. It's dark, and intense. I'm tempted to put it in the same category as Black Butterfly Moon and Faiza. It has that dark floral kind of feel. It's a little heady to start off with, but the drydown is well worth it.

    Trinket

Yup no cherries for me at all. I get amber and some spice. I feel like this is a masculine version of O. There may be some patchouli in here, but it's really really quiet. This does dry a little powdery, but I loves it.

    Brusque Violet

This was a dark and murky violet on me. The oppoponax adds a sweet, dark depth to this. I get mint in the wet stages but it calms down considerably as it dries. There is something slightly similar to B340 on my skin. And I agree that this is a violet for people who can't normally do violets. It stays a little sharp throughout the wearlength, and I generally prefer my scents a little more rounded.

    The Little Wooden Doll

Well this amped to almost completely ROSE on me. Further into the drydown I get the warm sandalwood, but still, mostly ROSE. It goes a little powdery too, as it wear. It's a warm soft blend, but a little too rosey for my liking.

    Obeah

I get a citrussy splash of deep orange and then opium! This is dark and smoky. I'm not getting much in the way of rose or jasmine here, but I am getting lots of opium and patchouli, with some sort of floral tone. It's rather intoxicating.

    Crib Girls

Much like previous reviewers, I get a Fruit Loops vibe from this. The cubeb adds a tangy dimension here that is not unlike lemon. The honeys don't go off on my skin at all, they stay creamy and sweet. The cardamom comes out much later in the drydown. By the time it does, this scent has taken on a similarity to O. This is much like O on my skin, but with a little bit of tang and spice. It's nice, but I much prefer O, and they're so similar on me that I don't need both.

    Emma

Hrmmm, this one almost vanishes when it touches my skin. I really had to slather to get anything to show up. Anyway, the jasmine and rose didn't amp here as per usual, but instead lent a heady floral vibe. The vanilla stayed soft, and didn't go foody in the slightest. I'm getting just a hint of pink pepper and patchouli. Overall, this is a predominantly sweet floral blend with just a hint of depth and spice from the pepper/patch combo.

Ok, in the wet and early drying stages, this totally reminded me of walking into the Lush store at the mall. It's the smell of the whole Lush store, condensed and on my wrists. The gardenia is of course totally dominating the blend, and the bergamot is underneath, adding some citrussy depth. As it continues to dry, the tobacco flower comes out a little more as does the geranium. This has a surprisingly clean smell to it. The end result after about two hours is rather soapy on me though. So that's unfortunate.

    Banshee Beat

Oh good GODS I love the scent!!! I love it with the fiery passion of a 1000 suns. The vanilla and patchouli mix is dirty hippie heaven. As it continues to wear, I am reminded a little of a very aged imp of Hunger that I have, and Sin. I might try layering them later to see if I get anywhere close to this awesomeness.

    Ü Mütter Museum

This one is a bit of a morpher. In the wet stages, there is almost something "funky" about this. I think it might be the greenness of the balsams that is causing this, which I have hope that aging will take care of. As it dries though, this scent really comes into it's own. The vanilla comes out more and the leather makes a rather understated appearance, while the balsams soften considerably.

    Butterflies and Plovers

Ok, fair warning - I amp ylang ylang, and we HATE each other. Just. Yick. Ylang ylang is completely domineering this blend, and I can barely make out any other notes here. As it dries, the orange and mandarin come out more, and then the mandarin goes pretty sickly sweet on me. Yeah. This is a fail.

    The Clod and the Pebble

Ok, this was predominantly ROSE!!!! on my skin. As it dried, the sandalwood and patchouli came out a little more to smooth out the ROSE!!!! but overall it stayed pretty, well, rosey. There was a touch of old lady perfume about this too. But that might have been the ROSE!!!!! Hmmm... the nutmeg and cedar are playing hard to get on me, but if I sniff and think, I can just barely make them out.

    Huesos De Santo

Ok, when I first applied this, it was CAKE! And a little stinky cake if you ask me. But as it dries, I really like the resulting orangey sweet scent that it turned into. The CAKE sort of faded to indistinct sweet but not overly foody scent when combined with the aniseed. It smells vaguely creamsicle-ish on me, but it has an element of depth to it that I don't tend to associate with "foody" scents. I like this, but I think a decant is enough for me.

    Night Thoughts

Hrmmm, I was expecting to love this. And it would seem that I'm pretty indifferent to it. This goes kind of "perfume-y" on me. The lilac is definitely a standout here, and I get a flash of ozone on the inital application, but that seems to fade with wear. Throughout the drydown, the musk seems to come out more and the neroli, but the cedar doesn't really make an appearance. It turns into a predominantly floral blend on my skin, with just a hint of musk.

    Very Slightly Haunted Dollhouse

This dried down to a really sweet carnation scent on me. The grape wasn't overly fruity by the end of this, however, the wet stages were very very fruity and sweet.

    Comforting Plush Companion

Well, this is really SUPER sweet on my skin. The honey and vanilla combination and the sugar plums is almost tooth-aching on me. There's not a whole lot of rose on my skin. Overall very very sweet!

    Berenice

Alright, I agree that this is a pretty "perfume-y" blend. It smells to me like a relative to Antique Lace. The lily and aloe and white musk are standouts during the wet stages. But as this dries, it settles into itself and warms a little bit. I'd still place it as a relatively "cool" scent but it's a little too much so for me in the wet stages. The lily calms down and the amber and linen notes come out more in the drydown, and this is where I get the similarity to AL. I like it, but I don't know how often I would wear this, as it smells a little "classic" for me.

The Malignant Dreams of Cthulhu in Love

Yup! I'm also one that chocolate doesn't normally work for, but this is quite yummers. It's not a sweet chocolate, which I think is why it's working for me. The saltyness gives it a little bit of a masculine edge on me, and it kind of reminds me of some delicious cologne. The incense come out a little in the drydown, but I don't find it to be a prominent note on my skin.

    Blue Moon 2009: Elizabeth's Creation

Well, colour me impressed. I wasn't interested in this when it was up because ylang ylang and I have a pretty hate filled relationship, frankincense goes to playdoh on my skin and cucumber just plain doesn't like me. But after seeing reviews I hunted down a decant to try. Wet, there is a melange of flowers and herbs that smells like it's going to go off on my skin. But this settles down beautifully. The blue musk and moonflower are absolute standouts here, and there is a sweet tinge of passionfruit underneath it all. The frankincense doesn't really come out for me at all. WOW, this is really stunning. It's light and ethereal, sweet with just a hint of musk, but it maintains an herbal/resinous vibe as well. In the middle stages, it seems to want to veer towards soapy territory, but it doesn't quite. All in all, I really love this.

    Cerberus

Ok, I put this on without reading the reviews and I thought I was going a little nutty for a minute. There was chocolate, yes, and musks, yes, but also something distinctly candy like. WTH? And then I read the reviews. What I must be smelling is the cubeb. There is a definite candy edge to this, which threw me right for a loop. I like it, but it's a little sweet for me.

    Playing with Dangerous Toys

This actually turns much softer on my skin during the drydown than I was expecting. The tobacco and smoke are very smooth here, and the cocoa is almost impossible for me to detect outside of the wet stage. I'm actually a little surprised that it faded quite so quickly on me.

    Werepuppy

Ok, this was VERY similar to Stinky on my skin. Actually, the difference was almost negligible. It was the same powdery milky scent. The milk went a little sour on me actually, and the dirt and florals never manifested on my skin. The concept is awesome, but sadly, my skin ruins yet another scent!
