this is heady humid roses with a hint of leather. i got this as a freebie with my order and wasn't sure what i would think of it, but i love it.

i fully understand why this scent is so popular! there's the exotic spiciness, a smoky incense hint, coated with vanilla. if you could bottle sexiness, this is it.

each note blends so well with the other in this. plum and amaretto with an edge of wine. it's also got great staying power.

the lotus and citrus fruit are the most prominent notes on me. this reminds me somewhat of the sarah michael's tiger lily scent (but that could be because of the jergen's glow lotion i'm wearing too).

on me, this is pure honey with a hint of vanilla. wonderful!

decadent, delicious. and it's quite the tease since it smells so...edible. one me, it smells exactly as it's described: chocolate, orange, and cherry

resin, incense, polished wood, and old leather-bound books. this is a wonderful scent. i don't see myself wearing it as an every day scent, but i'm going to hold onto it.

i really thought i was going to love this scent, but i didn't. i had hoped for the rich vanilla/buttercream/caramel scent, but it just smelled like a fresh walnut on me.

moss, rose, dirt.... i'm in love with this scent. it smells of decay and beauty.

out of the bottle, this had a fresh, green herbal scent with a hint of lemon. on my skin though, it reminded me of elizabeth arden's green tea perfume...which does not agree with me. i'm in the process of swapping it.

in bottle: breeze through a wet forest on skin: the airy and rain notes i first picked up totally disappeared. it's very crisp..and i guess it's the "ozone" i smell that's giving me a headache. this one's just not for me. swapped.

in bottle: this is a very sharp scent. the mint is really jumping out at me. on my skin, the mint stays strong for a while, then mellows out. i'm not smelling the grapefruit or lotus. this ended up drying into a very soapy smell on me. swapped.

this scent is just wonderful. the salty sea spray, rum, hint of leather and dry woods. i'm reminded of sitting on the pier at the ocean. i love it.

in bottle: syrupy strawberry, champagne on skin, wet: same as in bottle on skin, dry: fresh strawberries and champagne. it kind of reminds me of strawberry incense. final thoughts: this is a bubbly, happy scent. i have a feeling i'm going to go through this imp quickly.

in the bottle: a dark scent with a hint of cherry and vanilla on skin, wet: hmm... i don't smell the cherry or vanilla anymore and the musk has become very strong. on skin, dry: it smells very powdery. final thoughts: definitely not for me since i'm not a fan of powdery scents. swapped.

out of the bottle: this smells like absinthe...in a wearable perfume form. i just hope the anise isn't too much for me. on skin, wet: the anise is kind of strong on skin, dry: absolutely wonderful. the anise mellowed out and the other notes came through in a perfect blend. final thoughts: decadent, sexy. i absolutely adore this scent. this imp isn't gonna last me for very long.

out of the bottle: lemon cleanser and sweet tarts on skin, wet: same on skin, dry: same final thoughts: this one is definitely not for me. it gave me a headache and i ended up swapping it. i hope it works better for someone else.

out of the bottle: sweet ginger on skin, wet: sweet ginger and cream on skin, dry: where did the creamy smell go? the ginger faded as well. i get an airy, soapy smell that isn't agreeing with me at all. final thoughts: just not for me.

i couldn't wait to get my hands on this scent! in the bottle: creamy, coconut, hint of iris on skin, wet: it smells just like it did in the bottle. on skin, dry: the musk is coming out a little more, but i can still smell that wonderful creamy coconut. final thoughts: this is a sensual, comforting scent. it reminds me of precious memories near the sea. gotta have the big bottle!

i really wasn't sure what i was going to think of cathode, but i was happy to receive it from a lovely lady who sent it along with something i bought from her. out of the bottle: moss, ambergris, and a hint of mint on skin, wet: the moss note is very strong. love it! on skin, dry: the moss faded a little and the mint came out. this kind of reminds me of nosferatu in a way... just take away the wine and dirt and add mint. final thought: i like cathode, but i don't think i'll be ordering the 5mL.
