Ahhhhh ok. And there would be a significantly lesser chance of customs having any issues with it? Considering there would be no more than say 10-30mls sent at a time presumably. Unless someone went mad and bought everything hahaha!
-
I explained they were organic, pure perfume oils. Not flammable. I was told they would be destroyed if I sent them.... But I can see lots of people are still shipping internationally. I am so worried that if anything were to happen they would be taken and destroyed leaving the buyer without the oils they were looking forward to (refunded of course) and the oils lost forever

Can anyone help re international shipping. I was recently informed by Royal mail that I will not be allowed to post BPAL anywhere outside the UK due to international prohibited goods policies etc. I am wondering if anyone IS still able to ship internationally or even to the EU from the UK. Does this apply vice versa in that I cannot buy from the US or internationally anymore either? As far as I am aware BPAL has no alcohol in it, which is why other perfumes/oils etc are prohibited as they are flammable. I just don't understand

This smells like my burly manly man when I smother him in creamy moisturisers hahahah! It is quite masculine on me, but I adore cream too much to care. Its WONDERDFUL! I also smell note similarities with this and Underpants. Anyone else get that?

Ick! This is a big ole almond cake on me, and it is sucked up almost instantly by my skin. I am so freakin glad I don't like this as I continually I fall for protos everyone and their aunts dog wants and can never get anymore After an hour or so I am left with a wet cardboard waft on my skin.

This is straight up juicy lemon slathered in citrus and berries. Wet - for once the melon completely amps on my skin! Whoooo. The first time Beths melon has ever done this. And the lemon hides, yay for not smelling like pledge (when it comes to lemon). Strawberry lemon sticky sweet magicalness! Dry - Oh wait, there it is. Pledge bathroom cleaner, only for a second or two. It keeps morphing! There is a strong powdered candy undertone which keeps the lemon from being too chemical on me, but lemon tends to always do this. I want this blend to stay wet forever, because it was utterly perfect that way.

I am never in all my BPAL years smelt anything like intergalactic. The only thing I can compare it to even slightly is a very toned down version of Parliament of Monsters. A smoky lighter clovey version? Sprinkled with pepper, lavender and chopped cucumber. Yes... this is a lavender infused smoked cucumber sprinkled with pepper and clove to finish. Freakin weird!!!!! Oh and while you're eating this rank cumber, choke on some hair spray while you're at it! Woa.... my review is SO off from others. Then again I have bizarre skin chemistry...

Fizzy sugar cotton in the imp. It's very promising. On my skin it completely disapears. I mean, there is NOTHING left behind. No wafty goodness... Just a slight trail of washing detergent which is rather unpleasant. I'll sick to my original Boo My skin has never ate a scent up like this before! Wonder what the heck happened...
-
This is straight up baby powder on my skin. It had so much creamy resiny promise in the imp. I'm very disappointed with my skin chemistry I am SO hit and miss with honey notes.
-
Oh oh oh!!!! The cream note in this is EXACTLY the same as in my beloved Loves Philosophy. It's creamy cakey goodness. FAR lighter on the dorian/doc/snake oil which suits me just fine. I much prefer this version of Cake Smash, although I will be keeping my original bottle of course. It takes a while for this scent to mature on my skin. It's all butter cream and sweet frosting, but eventually gets richer with added safron spicy goodness. This is almost (ALMOST) like a baby closet... it's not as sweet but I am convinced they share mostly the same notes. V6 FTW!!!!!!

Sparkly little twinkly thing indeedy! In the imp this is straight up melon, exactly like the melon note in Earth rat (which I ADORE) Wet - holy crap, my skin ate the melon, like just sucked it straight up! Nowhere to be sniffed?! It's just straight up muddy herbal tea. I hope this sorts its self out soon... Dry - Hemlock? Peppermint hemlock. How on earth did that happen. Where is the beoved melon twinkly goodness? My sparkle bat turned into a troublesome grubby bat that has been misbehaving in your grannies herb garden!

Spicy rosie rose! Not the strongest (as in heady) rose blend I have tried, but floral enough to give me a major headache and make me want to scrub myself clean with bleach. Straight to swaps methinks

Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple
TulaMontage replied to mineralgirl's topic in Black Phoenix Trading Post
In the imp - Apple Wet - Jucier apple Dry - Apple apple apple... I never learn, I HATE apple... it's official. I was hoping the many other notes would make this work for me, but I didn' tven get the slightest wiff of them! I am sad and reeking of apple... -
SEASIDE SMUT! In the imp this is a salty sultry version of Midway! Seriously. Wet, this morphs into a stunningly deep caramel popcorn discarded on salt battered pier planks, with the occassional crushed boiled sweetie wafting through to the surface. Dry, smutty sea air. Thats the only way to describe it. Sexy sweaty popcorn and sweetie eating prostitutes that work by the seas side. I LOVE IT!

2010 version is all sultry powdery chocolate in the imp, but once on its all sweetness and bright! Why has this gone, dare I say it, FLORAL?! I mean don't get me wrong, I actually love this dry on my skin (and I really dislike florals) but what happened to the chocolate? This is such a strange scent, and I actually LOVE it! Must try the 08 version now...
-
This is the same vanilla/sugar note used in the original midway... the one that with age just goes plastic on me. It's a beautiful scent in the bottle and when wet, it's sugary pinky fluffy mallow goodness, but after the dry down period all I get is a french vanilla candle. Now I remember why I swapped my original bottle of midway... I was pondering and regreting that the other day, but no longer! I think I shall send this little mallow back out into the world of BPAL foodies!

Overprotective Possessed Talking Doll
TulaMontage replied to cfrancesca's topic in Black Phoenix Trading Post
This is happy in a little glass vial! Nothing more, nothing less. Just sheer uplighting sweet sticky goodness! It's so simple, but a perfect combination. It's got great throw, but doesn't last long on my skin. It's ate up all the strawberry, leaving a faint powdery sweet trail of mimosa. Ideal if I don't want the world to know what perfume I am wearing (as sometimes it's a very personal thing). I am utterly in lurve with this mad talking doll! Ahhhhhhhh! -
This is like the grown up non smutty version of Bordello! It's deep, rich and sophisticated. Bursting with berries and boozey red currants. After the initial dry down period I get a wonderful waft of the Thyme. It's not herbal or foody or grassy, instead it's an uplifting lemony thyme that stops this scent being pure sticky boozy berries. WONDERFUL!
-
This is a wonderful complex and stunning sassafras dominated scent, which I wanted to love on my skin, but unfortunatley I think it's going to be better off in my oil burner. It's got amazing staying power and throw, but it's just too um.... candley? My room needs to smell like this, just not my skin. It's got oodles of charm and sophistication, blended to perfection and I adore it. I may need a bottle purley as a room scent!
-
Bordello is a big busty burlesque rush to the head! It's fabulously full bodied, sweetly fruity and just boozy enough to be a little big naughty. It's a wonderful scent, and one I will be reaching for throughout summer indeed!
-
In the imp this is ripe and bursting with dark berries and plums! I read rose and lilac and almost didn't even want to sniff this, but there is not a tarce of those evil notes... yet. Yep there it is... Rose rose rose rose rose. WHY do I have to amp the notes I hate to the point of a hideous headache! I can't finish this review as the rose is sickly sweet and powdery. It needs to come off now!
-
In the imp this is sugared Djinn... Manilla Djinn?! I wasl almost too scared to open this because of the listed notes as well! Just goes to show you can never really judge a scent until you have tried it. Wet on my skin oh there is the hellfire! It's a big fruity firey kick in the nose, and it's really quite bizarre! Drying down this is still heady, firey warm and extremely sweet. Not even a weeee bit like what I expected from the listed notes, but it was a great surprise! It's still not bottle worthy :-p

The Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn (2006)
TulaMontage replied to Heretic's topic in Carnaval Diabolique
In the imp this is a deep and firey feral scent, with a slight dirty greeness. It's a warm scent overall though... Wet on my skin this turns to soap!? Spicy soap. It's just a complete headache. I thought I was on to a new winner at first sniff! Drying down this is musky freshly soaped warm skin with a slight kick of cinnamon. The clove is overpowering and I kinda want to wash this off... now. It's really not my thing -
The Antikythera Mechanism

This is oooooooooober strong teak in the imp. With the notes listed, I expected it to be a little softer and less heady. Wet on my skin it's a soft blend of wood resins and wet tobacco. I picture myself as being in an old gentlemans study, pipe in hand and my feet up on a beautifully polished old wooden desk. Drying down sweet vanilla tobacco! I amp tobacco as I am a smoker, but this is lovely and creamy and luxurious and yum! I don't think I would wear it as a perfume out and about, but this is definatley one for sniffing myself at night when I'm alone -
Oils with the strongest throw or sillage - the most noticeable scents
TulaMontage replied to lunalight7's topic in Recommendations
Red Lantern, Loves Philosophy, Banshee Beat, Obatala, Mme Moriarty, Snake Charmer, Western Diamondback and Diary of a lovestruck teenage cannibal all last for hours on me and smell as strong as they did when I first applied. If you want scents to last a long time, you need to determine which notes you amp as they will stay around the longest.
