    Like a Girl

in the imp: hey hey vanillay plus a little muskiness and floral? my skin amps bourbon vanilla like mad, so let's see what happens! wet: bourbon vanilla with something a little vegetal funk. drying down: oh hai vanilla with a little vegetal musk that adds just a little depth and interest to the hello sweet of the vanilla final: vanilla extract - this smells like me in high school when i doused myself in vanilla body spray, so in a way, it has a very accurate name

    Cabbage White

Iris is one of my favorite scents, so I was really excited to try this one. in imp: sweet, fragrant iris with something slightly earthy, pungent, and sweet wet: i had to slather to smell it, it's a little musky, little sweet floral, a little funky earth and some creaminess drying down: sweet, creamy, buttery floral, its a rounded, sweet iris scent, with some muskiness, i would totally describe this as sweet iris butter - surprisingly the vanilla doesn't amp on me - usually my skin will take any sweet note and run crazy with it, no soap yet either final: very light, sweet, creamy, powder with a little plasticky undertone. I like this, but it is a very quiet, close scent.

    Fuck This Heat

Lavender and mint is one of my favorite scent combinations. During the hot, humid summer it's my go-to for feeling refreshed and cool. In the imp: lavender, mint, and something a little floral/spicy/bitter wet: sweet mint, a little fresh herbaliness, and a little floral spiciness. This smells like Lush's Dirty springwash. drying down - minty minty mint mint, but sweet spearmint, not harsh peppermint, and a little bit of green sweet herbal final: sweet, slightly soapy herbal mint

    Luke 10:25-37

In imp: amber, saffron, and clove - it's not a foody scent, more of a sweet plant scent. The saffron is the strongest note for me. wet on skin: this is a soft scent, sweet ambery saffron is strongest with a sweet, slightly spicey clove. It's not a strong, aggressive spice, just a gentle tszuj to give it some depth. dry: the clove comes forward more and lays around on the amber, there are some strands of saffron here and there, but it's not as strong. this is a warm, sweet, gently spicey scent. final: beautiful sweet clove and amber. Man, if this had some honey in it, it'd be amazing. I layered Queen Butterfly over the final phase and it is pretty nice.

    Matthew 18:6

In the imp: whoa, a little sweet, a little floral, a little incensey. I usually associate champaca with overpowering cheap incense and don't think I've smelled it like this. It smells good. Wet on the skin: White floral with a hint of sandalwood incense. I'm sniffing for the honey, but it isn't overt. Dry: Soapy sandalwood (like the sandalwood soap you find in crunchy college stores that sell a lot of hemp stuff and cheap champaca incense), cream spicy floral with a little sharp green here and there- it's wanting to go powdery soap but isn't Final: a little spicy, a little zingy, very creamy, full, soft, white floral with a little powdery wood. I think I like it. It's a pretty floral, almost like a muted gardenia or funkier, muskier magnolia.

    Queen Butterfly

In the decant: Orange blossom, honey, and amber. A little extra sweetness from plum? Wet on skin: Orange blossom and amber Drydown: Orange blossom, with a resiny sweetness - just a tinge of honey. The orange blossom in this is very true. Final: honey with ladanum (perhaps?) and amber. It's a honey with a soft, spicy warm undertone.

    The Forest of the Empress

In the decant: mmmm, beautiful evergreens with something a little greener underneath, cypress? I love these kind of smells. Wet on the wrist: Evergreen with some wood underneath, getting good cedar under the evergreen. This is the smell of warm evergreens in the summer. This isn't a cool, winter scent. It's bright and warm and sunny. It's got that beautiful astringent, green almost fruitiness that fir, spruce, and juniper have. Did I mention that I love these scents? (also, have had several moscow mules). Drying down: Evergreen is still there, but it's starting to yield some to a warm paper scent like I get from Dee. Final: Warm wood, slightly soapy

    El Segundo Blue

I choose this as my first review because the scent experience was consistent for me throughout my sniffing: salty popcorn and dryer sheets.

    Hollywood Babylon

This smells just like the hole-in-the-wall OJ Imports where I used to buy beadies when I was 14. It smells like Eqyptian musk incense with a bit of cherry cough syrup. Did not work well for me, to say the least.

    Opuhi

I was totally excited about Opuhi - ginger blossoms and vanilla orchid? Perfect! To my disappointment, not so much. In the bottle: It is a creamy, sweet, cousin to Regan - not as icy or cool. Very warm, very golden. I got so excited that I went, "Oh my god, yum!", and forced my boyfriend to smell it at dinner. On the skin Wet: Still nice and warm and sweet, with just a bit of ginger spicyness. Dry down: Still has that ginger spicyness, but its not as sharp, more soft and still sweet. It actually smells just like Lush's Soft Touch body butter on me. The it begins to morph and it becomes kind of a sharp, sweetish, soft floral. I can't quite pin it down. Its not unpleasant, but its not wow! either.

    Destroying Angel

When I first put this on I get a very strong dirt smell, then it begins to dry down and smell like a dirty mushroom that has just been ripped open in a room where there are white flowers. On dry down and until the throw fades its now a mushroom that has been ripped open sitting on a table underneath a vase full of paperwhites. This is a strangely pretty scent, dirty, white flowers.
