    Brisingamen

In the Bottle: Amber, carnation and myrtle On Me: Glorious and beautiful amber, with the floral background. This is one of my all time favourite blends. LOVE.

    Love-Lies-Bleeding

In the Bottle: Very dark, earthy and herby. Wasn't sure I'd like this one at first. On me: You know, like I say above, I didn't think I'd like this one, but I was wrong. It is very velvety, red and kind of chocolatey. You can almost feel the softness of the petals in the scent. I really like this. It's a nighttime whispering scent. It's a little buttery, with maybe the faintest orange.

    Venice

In the Bottle: Lemon drops with a faint floral background On Me: You know, people say this is a red scent, but I disagree. I see yellow and gold. The lemon is on the forefront with the rose. It is kept from smelling like a cleaner by the lovely flowers and the sandalwood. This is a very "Sun" scent to me. I see this being lovely in the summer.

    Bien Loin D'Ici

In the Bottle: Honey, spices, musk. On Me: The benzoin comes out a bit more and reminds me of the incense I used to burn during rituals. It is warmed by the caramel accord, honey and spices. I can juuuuust barely smell the rosemary in this. This is a beautiful blend and perfect for Bellydance. I think I might invest in a 5ml at some point. Very exotic and lovely.

    Athens

A reformulation and modernization of a true Classical Greek perfume, myrrhine: voluptuous myrrh, golden honey, red wine, and sweet flowers. In the Bottle: Spiced honey (reminded me of anchasta's Hunny Bunny) On Me: Oh, I love this. It's sweet, rich and a little dark. I see it as sort of a gold blend (as opposed to dark, red, etc...). The wine makes it a little tart, but in a refreshing way. The flowers add a fresh element. Love it! Might need a 5ml one day!

    Scherezade

In the Bottle: Smells exactly like one of the pagan shops in town that closed down a few years ago. A dark mix of spice and musk On Me: A lovely swirling of scents. Spicey, musky, and so perfect as a bellydance blend. I think I smell Sandalwood in here. It makes me feel mysterious and beautiful

In the Bottle: a mix bag of spices, like walking through the spice aisle in the market On Me: Spice! Familiar...At first, it reminded me of Bug spray O_o I think it's the clove and cardamom. I'm gonna let this sit a bit and see if it calms down at all. Later: The bug spray smell does die down, but I'm still not completely sold on this one. I do like it, but I'm not sure if I want to keep the 5ml. I''ll give it another try, maybe when I'm not so fresh out of the shower

    Bengal

In the Bottle: A little foody, but predominantly spicey. I worry this could go the way of Jack for me. On Me: Oh, I love this. The spices are lovely, without being too sweet or foody. The honey is deep and more like an amber than a cloying weight. The skin musk and the peppers just keep everything really sexy and a little sharp. Love it. This is what I was looking for in Jack and Gingerbread Poppet

    Suspiro

In the Bottle: Florals!! On Me: Fades very quickly. Almost gone by the time I'm at work. I'm getting lily of the valley and ylang ylang. I think I'll have to add more and see how it goes. Next Try: Oh, this is lovely! I'm so glad I gave it another shot. The lily of the Valley is the dominant note in this one, with ylang ylang and jasmine close behind. It's a very "pretty" scent, something like Beatrice that I think I could make a signature. May need a 5ml of this baby

    Peitho

In the Bottle: Warm vanilla with some spice On Me: This is so yummy. The Vanilla blends down to more of a vanilla bean, and mixes beautifully with the sandlewood and clove to create a warm vaguely spicey resiney scent. The florals blend in beautifully to create a bit more depth and interest. Love it.

    Bayou

In the bottle: Wet and floral. On me: I think I'm starting to recognize the mossy scents that Beth uses. The scent smells blue/green, and is heavy with humidity and florals. Certainly suits the weather today (in January, when we're used to -30 celcius, it is 10 celcius and rainy). I can vaguely smell the evergreen. It's a little soapy on me, but unlike the other's that I've reviewed, it's not a girly floral soap. This is a man's soap. Almost like aftershave. As it dries, it gets more green. I don't know that this one is for me, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it.

    Manila

Bottle: Sweet and candy like. Reminds me of swedish berries and perfume. On Me: Banana, fruit punch, tropical flowers and burning. Burning? Gah! Skin burning! I guess this one just wont work on me.

    Seraglio

In long-ago Arabia, harem girls rubbed an herbal poultice formed from a blend of sensual, luxuriant herbs and oils onto their bodies to prepare themselves for the Sultan’s pleasure. This lush, indulgent perfume is based on that ancient formula. Sweet almond and Mysor sandalwood enveloped by a heady veil of Bulgarian Rose, neroli, nutmeg, clove and orange peel. Bottle: Almonds and Nutmeg On Me: Thank god the almonds die down on this one. The rose steps forward with the neroli and orange peel, spiced with the nutmeg. Then it fades into soap. Another pass.

    Midwinter's Eve

In the bottle: Yummy juicy berries On me: Lovely mixed berries, a little chill. Maybe a really faint pine. Really juicy, without being too sweet or cloying. Definitely reminds me of winter, as I used to wear cranberry lotions from the Bodyshop. This is much nicer.

    La Petite Mort

In the bottle: Honey and flowers, smells VERY similar to O, which I love. On Me: Seems like a more toned down, slighty powdery version of O. Less cloying, and with a rose undertone. It has the warmth and a slight spice that makes me think of resin. Someone said it was like staying in bed on a Saturday and I can totally see it. It's the warmth of a body, sun light on bed sheets, the afterglow of making love, a little drowsy, and absolutely lovely. Really really enjoy this one.

    Belle Époque

In the bottle: PURFUME! I can't really get a single note of this. On me: God, I love this scent. I'm wearing some lace and flowy fabrics today, so I figured we were a good match. I feel beautiful and sweet wearing this. I picture tea parties, fine china, silver, lace, fancy parlours. Not in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable or up-tight, but rather elegant and inviting. The sandlewood is so perfectly matched here, toning down the florals and creating a feeling of warmth. The Vanilla adds a touch of sweetness without taking over and the flowers are just...so pretty! Prettiness is the word for this scent. Not at all soapy. It doesn't feel right wearing it to work (I work as an administrator for an engineering and manufacturing firm). Gorgeous. This is the kind of thing I think of when I think "Perfume".

    Morocco

Old Morocco The intoxicating perfume of exotic incenses wafting on warm desert breezes. Arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia. In the Bottle: Yummy. I can't pick out a single note here. On me: I love this scent. Love it. Completely. I don't know what the difference is between old and new morocco, but this is one of my all time favourite blends. It's warm, it's interesting, it's spicey without being too much. The carnation seems to keep the spice down, and the musk and sandlewood keep things toasty. Love this scent. I think this is going to be my bellydance blend. As it dries, the Sandalwood comes out a bit more and reminds me of the incense I used to burn as a teenager. Lovely.

    Gingerbread Poppet

Gingerbread Poppet 2005 Bottle: Very sweet and very strong liquid gingerbread! On Me: Apparently, I don't play well with the foody scents. I find them way too overwhelming and way too sweet for me. Again, the spices weren't enough to balance out the sweet food scent of this blend. I feel like someone lit one of those holiday candles and then dumped the wax on me.

    Persephone

Bottle: Tangy pomegrantes with a slight tart perfumey rose On Me: The rose becomes less tart and helps balance out the pomegranate. This is a very tangy fresh scent, something to wear in the summer I think. The pomegranate, despite the rose, is very much the key note in this one.

    Coyote

Bottle: Musk and maybe some woods On Me: I absolutely love this scent. It's a big comfort scent for me, and I don't know why. The musk and grasses mellows out (becoming less harsh and more warm). The amber is really subtle in this one, but really lovely. I expected this scent to be more masculine, but I think it still works on me. I generally pair this one with a sweeter scent to give it more throw. it's like snuggling up to warm fur. Comforting.

    Jack

Bottle: SWEET PUMPKIN! OMFG! On Me: Waaaay too foody for me. It's too sweet, and not nearly spicey enough. Nauseating.
  22. MaeKitty

    Velvet

Bottle: Chocolate! On Me: After a few minutes, the chocolate dies down and the sandalwood and myrr comes out, giving the scent more depth. The whole scent is very mellow and deep, perfect for its name. It's soft, warm and lush, and very relaxing. Perfect for a night of jazz and conversation. My only issue with it is that it doesn't have much throw on me at all. I have to really take a good whiff of myself, even after just a few minutes to catch it. That said, every so often I get a surprise subtle smell of the cocoa.
  23. MaeKitty

    O

In the bottle: HONEY! with a dash of cream On Me: At first, it's all honey, vanilla and milk, all the time. I was so afraid that it would be too sweet and too much for me. After a few minutes it dies down beautifully, letting the amber out of the background. It mellows out the honey, and is just lovely. This is one of my signature scents now.
  24. MaeKitty

    Dorian

Bottle: I definitely smell a sweet tea, maybe with some honey. Almost what I would consider the masculine version of O On Me: The musks balance out the sweetness of the tea, without taking it away completely. This is a very sweet scent, though really lovely. I really enjoy this one. It reminds me of the tea I used to drink with Lis: Dark with only a splash of milk, with lots of sugar.

    Sudha Segara

Bottle: Very perfume-y. Floral. On Me: I don't get any milk in this. The perfume is gone, though this is still not at all what I was expecting. I guess I thought it would be something like O, or Dorian, but instead it's quite clean and pretty. A little on the soapy side. Not good with my chemistry I guess
