  1. At first this smells like grapes, not fresh grapes, but like grape juice. After reading the notes in the description though, I am able to pick out the peach. This scent is very "syrup-y". Very sweet. I like it.

  2. Wet this scent is strong and astringent. It gets more floral as it develops. It's a pretty scent and I find myself sniffing where I applied it often. The dry down is great! It is the same dry down that I have experienced in one of the other scents but I forgot which one it is. The drydown is a powder-y, candy-ish note that I love...I just wish I knew what note it is!

  3. This smells so good! At first it is deep cocoa and a touch of cream. Then it morphs into straight cream. Next it goes into a floral cream stage that is so sweet and sugary. In the final stage it is a sweeter "Snow White". It is like the Everlasting Gobstopper of BPALs! Yummm!

  4. I can smell the the apple, and maybe champagne? I even catch a slight ketchup note when first applied. Drydown is a light effervescent fruity scent. This one smells great on me! Very fresh! Don't let the description scare you away from this one!

One more thing, it smells nice layered with Shango. :P

  5. Caliban is immediately green when first applied. It begins to develop into a tropical floral on my skin. To me, it is something I would want to wear if I was laying on the beach under the shade of Caribbean palm trees. It is very lush and somewhat sweet. May have to get a 5 ml of this one!

  6. When applied it is baby powder with a touch of lavender. Upon drydown the lavender amps up. The whole time the scent remains quite light. Not really my thing though.

  7. Yeah, this one is a little too masculine for me. I smell the citrus but it isn't a sweet citrus. It's rather dry. Don't get me wrong, it is a fresh citrus, just not sweet. You know, the longer I wear it the less masculine it is becoming. It's actually drying down to a unisex scent. May not be one that I'd reach for often so I might not keep it.

  8. When first applied I was kind of iffy about this one. It then morphs to a sweet, slightly spicy scent similar to Haunted or even somewhat like Snake Oil on me. It has that sort of sweet, incensey richness to it. It turns out quite feminine and gourmand on me.

  9. At first this one smells VERY SHARP and not like what I want to smell like at all. I wiped it off. I then smelled my skin where I had put the oil again and it smells nicer. It is still astringent, but I am getting "Sweet Tarts" from it. So therefore it isn't that bad of a scent after all, still not sure if it is my "type", but not as bad as I thought it was in it's opening. I might have to test this one again to decide if I like it or not.

  10. The sunken city of the Great God Cthulhu. A hellishly dark aquatic scent, evocative of fathomless oceanic deeps, the mysteries of madness buried under crushing black waters, and the brooding eternal evil that lies beneath the waves.

Mmm this one is nice! It's like tropical bubble gum. I don't get any "darkness". I get a lot of brightness from this scent. The scent of this one smells like it could have fit in with the Tiki scents. Yummmmy!

  11. A long time ago Naturistics made a fragrance spray called Mountain Berry. It was a sweet berry scent and if it were a shade it would make me think "purple". It seemed to have notes of blackberry but I can't find the notes online. The description was:

Imagine the clear, cool mountain air, alive with the freshness of nature. Dew glistening on the ripening vines. While the wind carries along the scent of wild berries.

Any recommendations on what BPAL I should try that sounds like the Mountain Berry fragrance? Thanks in advance.

  12. While wet the first sniff I get something light and sweet, then almost immediately the ozone kicks in. It is almost a foul smell, but then it becomes sweeter (must be the currant). It gets nicer and more 'perfume-y' (yet fruity-perfume-y) the longer it wears, but still remains very light. I like it!

  13. Whewww the first sniff while wet is ANISE. It begins to turn more cherry the longer it sits on the skin. It becomes sweeter. By far this is one of the strongest BPALs I have ever tried and has good throw. Usually BPALs stay pretty close to the skin on me. Oh wow it almost takes on a sweet cherry candy smell as it dries down. Awesome scent!

  14. Wow what a morpher! When I first applied I literally said "Oh sick!" The coffee note kind of had a caca smell when first applied. I had to see what the notes of this one is so I looked it up on here. I let it sit on my skin like others said to and whoa, does this scent dry down gorgeous! No more caca coffee! It turns into a pretty jasmine-rose scent. I notice that I tend to pick scents with jasmine notes and if you like jasmine as well then this scent is a great one to try. Just get past the initial sniff!
