Could someone list all of the pirate scents?

I'm going to Jamaica in May & I want to be able to take something that smells oceany, aquatic, and I noticed there were several blends with a pirate "theme", but I wondered if someone had a comprehensive list of what they all are & where they're found on the site?

    Snow White

Wow, you must've gotten a REALLY jacked up batch or something; I don't get any pine whatsoever in this. Actually, I don't get any green notes from it. To me, it is strictly white. It smells to me like white roses with a chilly note. Defnitely whites roses in snow. With a hint of vanilla. Wish you could've gotten a good one; it really does smell so pretty
  3. Okay...Snow White...beautiful and complex, but I'm having a bit of trouble classifying it. And I'm really anal and OCD about wanting to complement my fragrances. I think Snow White would go well with the Lush Snowcake, because of the almost edible undercurrent to Snow White. BUT...does anyone else think it would go well with other "cold florals", as I call them? I tend to think of sweet rose, violet, lily, etc., as "cold floral". Does that make sense? Okay, I'm rambling; sorry Anyway, what are some good layerings for Snow White?
  4. Maybe it's just my chemistry, but...a dab of Saturnalia over Archangel Winter smells - on me - exactly like Lush's Ghost/Lily Savon Beautiful.

    Rose Red

I really love this one (as the other 2 in the Mirror Mirror set). While Peacock Queen is the cold, wet tea rose (to me), Rose Red is the spicier rose, with a hint of carnation (I've found that I like to cocktail this one with Lush's "Potion" scents). When I first smell it wet, it's really the red rose, for sure. It does have that carnation/dianthus angle to it that makes it just divine. Wet, it has that teensy, slightly green tinge but dries to a moderate, straight spicy rose. Very nice. Sits somewhere between Snow White & Peacock Queen in terms of complexity, Snow White being the most complex & Peacock Queen being the most straightforward. I love this set & may have to sell a kidney to buy more!!!

    Snow White

My initial whiff of Snow White (as with all my BPAL purchases thus far) was under the influence of sinus infection, so I smelled nothing (the others, I could smell a bit; Snow White seemed much fainter). Now that I'm well , I'm loving Snow White. I like to wear it with Peacock Queen, for some reason... Here's what I get from Snow White: pale rose, cold, the slightest hint of something like powdered sugar...? Definitely white and mellow, soft. Beautiful. It's cold but not in a sharp way; instead, it's like being chilly while wrapped in a not-yet-warm fleece blanket. Definitely a cool smell of winter roses with just an undercurrent of sweets.

    The Peacock Queen

Everyone else says this smells kind of dark, deep, haughty, but I picture mauve/pink roses when I smell this. To me, it has a crisp, cold quality that is perfect for its name, and its nature. Rose Red, to me, has a spicier, greener quality to it; almost like carnations or a spicier variety of rose. Snow White is like classic roses with powder and something confectionary, can't quite place it. I love all three, but Peacock Queen is my pick of the trio. It's true rose with an underlying hint of something wet or frozen, something liquid. I love it.
  8. I'm finding the violet notes in Bathos (lush) to work well with Saturnalia (now that my sniffer isn't entirely broken & is starting to work again LOL). I was wondering about this, myself. But I'm also tending to start simply mixing my scents by "theme". I think I'll do the Eggnog with Lush's spicy Christmas scents (Christmas Kisses, Bob, Pud, etc.); Jolasveinar can do double duty as a "cold" scent AND a "foody/spicy" scent. Also has an earthy tang to it that I just love Like I said; what I can pick up so far, anyway. Can't wait til my nose is fully functional again!
