    Aelopile

Wet this is light citrus with a hint of wood in the background (probably the oud). There's a sharp bite to this. When first on there's a burst of lemon with a creamy note in the background. The lemon starts to soften within seconds. After a few hours this is a soft, warm floral. The lemon has really died down leaving a hint of sweetness. On the dry down, this is a soft, sweet amber with a hint of oud. This is really nice- it starts out crisp but ends soft and warm. I wish the oud was stronger though.

    The Obsidian Widow

Wet this is myrrh, honey and red wine in the background. When first on this is very different than the wet stage. It's woody and dewy, not sweet at all. After several minutes this smells like jasmine and red wine. After a few hours this is a blend of myrrh, wine and flowers. It's similar to Athens but not as sharp. On the dry down this is a soft, powdery blend of myrrh, rose, florals and red wine. This is really nice but I prefer Athens. This is a good one to try for fans of myrrh and red wine notes.

    Lady Lilith

Wet this is florals and maybe some grape. When first on this is strong florals, hyacinth maybe or a white floral. After just a couple of minutes it softens and starts to warm up. I think there's some citrus in here- it's a light citrus. This must be the mandarin. After about an hour a medium bodied musk develops. After several hours this is a lightly sweet vanilla and musk blend. There's also something in here that smells very purple, like grape or hyacinth. On the dry down this is a lovely soft violet and floral blend with a hint of citrus far in the background. This is a very elegant and feminine blend. Lovely!

    Ho Ho Ho

Wet this is fruity, sweet and spicy. It's very familiar, like holly berries or poinsettias. There's a touch of evergreen in the background. When first on this is much lighter overall. It's a mix of winter fruits and spices, maybe cinnamon and cloves. Very complex. There is a hint of marzipan too I think. After a few hours this has softened a bit but it's still fairly strong. There's a little creaminess now too. On the dry down this is a lovely mix of berries, spices, fruit and evergreens. After wearing this several times, I realized that it reminds me of Midwinter's Eve so maybe this has plum in it? This is such a lovely, complex scent evocative of the Christmas season. I love it! Thank you so much to the Lab and Shelldoo for such a wonderful gift!

    Crimson Christmas

Wet this is pine and snow, maybe a hit of berry. When first on this is snow with mint far in the background. It's very fresh and clean smelling. After a few hours this is very creamy and slightly minty with hints of earthiness. I don't really get a foody or candy note from this. On the dry down this is a clean, fresh, almost soapy snow scent. I don't seem to detect any of the smoke note in this. I like the creaminess and cleaness of this blend and will enjoy wearing it this winter.

All They Had Seen, and All They Had Lost

Wet this is dewy florals, it feels yellow. When first on, this is pale, wet roses; soft and dewy. After a few hours this hasn't changed much at all. It's a nice soft and lightly sweet floral. There's also something in here that smells like a purple, grapey floral. This stays a nice, soft, dewy floral. Pleasant but not a real standout.
  7. Wet this is very buttery cake batter mixed with some spicy baking notes like clove, ginger and nutmeg. There's some almond too. When first on this is very fruity fruitcake and boozy almond. The spices are in the background. This softens quite a bit after a few minutes and it has a sort of plastic note It's reminding me of the sweet cream/dust note combination in Midway. Darn. This started out very similar to the Lab's Fruitcake but it has changed into something much less enjoyable to me. It's pretty faint too. On the dry down this is actually really nice! It's a soft ginger, spice and musk blend. I don't think I can handle the plastic stage unfortunately. I prefer Fruitcake and Shub over this one. I love the name and concept though

    Nowhere in Particular

Wet this is wet grass and sweet woods, herbal and a bit sharp. When first on it's the same grassy note mixed with an almost soapy/woody note. There's a hint of sweetness in the background. After a few minutes, the apple note starts to peek out a bit. After a couple of hours, this is mainly a clean, soapy blend with hints of apple and leaves. It's similar to Meditation in Autumn but lighter. This doesn't change much more on me. This is nice but not a standout.

    Mole

Wet this is sandalwood and gentleman's cologne. It reminds me a bit of my grandfather. When first on this is sharp sandalwood and a bit dusty. It's much fainter than in the wet stage. After a few minutes it starts to warm up and the mossy note develops. After a couple of hours this is a lovely soft blend of moss, sandalwood and a bit of patchouli. It's very cozy and fuzzy. On the dry down this is a soft, mossy, close to the skin scent. Very warm and fuzzy-hee! Lovely!

    Frau Holle

Wet this is snowy pine, a bit sharp. It's very similar to Snow Bunny. When first on it smells the same- a nice snowy pine, crisp and bracing. There might be a hint of berries in this too. After a few hours a creaminess develops. It's like a more floral version of Snow Bunny. On the dry down this is a nice creamy/icy/floral blend. It's similar to Perchta but without the musk.

    Perchta

Wet this is musk and that sharp, icy snow note that Beth does so well. When first on this is very floral, sweet and musky with a hint of wood and violet. Within seconds the floral notes calm down a bit and the snowy note starts to develop. After about an hour this becomes a creamy snow and floral blend. It's almost like a cross between Snow Bunny and Snow White. On the dry down this is a lovely creamy musk and floral blend. It's cozy and a bit sexy. Very nice!

    On Darkness

Wet this is sweet and soapy florals. It reminds me of Jean Nate perfume. It's a bit sharp too. When first on this is a bit floral and lavender and not as sweet as in the wet stage. After just a few seconds it fades dramatically- weird. It has almost no scent! In another minute it warms back up and the amber develops. This doesn't change much more on me. It's a nice floral and amber blend. I don't really get any incense from this. It's nice but not a stunner for me.

Lines Written Among the Euganean Hills

Wet this is sandalwood, amber and a snowy note. When first on this is musk mixed with a cool snow/mint/evergreen blend. This is like an elegant man's cologne. There's a touch of sweetness too. After a few minutes the icy/mint note mellows and the amber and musk develop. After a few hours this is a lovely musk and amber blend with a soft hint of rose. This has become very feminine. On the dry down this is a very soft rose and amber blend with a hint of mint. This is gorgeous!! It's almost like a cousin to Snow White. I'll need a bottle of this one for sure

    The Gladdener of All Hearts

Wet this is lavender, sage, powdery violet and a sweet rosy note. When first on this is very soft sage, a woodsy lavender and rose; delicate and feminine. This is much lighter than in the bottle. This really doesn't change much at all on me. It is mostly a very soft, almost wispy floral blend with hints of floral notes and an underlying earthiness. This is deceptively simple but it's really a lovely soft, feminine blend. Quietly beautiful. Thank you Beth and family!

    Lilith Victoria

Wet- yep this is Snake Oil and Dorian. Lovely musk, vanilla, patchouli and lavender. Powdery, sweet and cozy. When first on this is Snake Oil with some floral sweetness added to it. There's lots of soft lavender too. It's similar to the soft and sweet lavender and vanilla in TKO but not as strong. After a couple of hours this smells mainly like Snake Oil with a touch of lavender. This is a beautiful blend and I will treasure this for years to come. I can't wait to see how it ages!

    Violet Ray

Wet this is dewy fruit and sandalwood. When first on this is sandalwood and a hint of powdery violets and mint. After a couple of minutes this is similar to Ultraviolet but with a sandalwood twist. At times I get a whiff of the oud which reminds me of Danse Macabre. This is a nice violet blend. It's a little less sweet than Ultraviolet probably because of the woody notes. It does have that minty bite that Ultraviolet has too. Nice.

    Ether

Wet this is violet and sweet orange maybe. When first on this is sweet white florals and orange. Maybe lily of the valley too? This smells like a blend of white and pale lavender flowers. There's also a touch of tartness- almost like the Lab's green tea note. This is a light, soft and sweet white floral blend. This doesn't change much more on me. This is nice but doesn't really stand out to me.

    Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener

Wet this is sweet vanilla and root beer which I guess is the sassafras. When first on this is slightly sweet and herbal sassafras, a bit medicinal with and underlying sharp bite. After about an hour this smells just like Lick It! How strange. It really smells like a warm vanilla/mint blend. After a couple of hours the sassafras is blending with the vanilla/mint combination. This doesn't change much after that. This is a somewhat strange blend. I wasn't expecting it to turn into Lick It after starting as strong root beer scent. I think I'll keep trying this one because it's a bit unusual and I'm curious to see how it will age.

    Meditation in Autumn

Wet this is sweet woods and a fresh vegetation note- sort of grassy but not quite. When first on this is the same woods and leaves but also a bit "perfumey". There's a creamy note underneath too. After a few hours this is a nice warm sandalwood mixed with sweet autumn leaves. There's an underlying earth/dirt note too. On the dry down this is a warm autumn blend of leaves and woods with a touch of sweetness. This is really nice. It truly captures the feeling of autumn.

    The Goblin Rider

Wet this is cedar and pine. First on it's cedar mixed with sweet woods. After a couple of minutes the whole scent starts to blossom into a very autumnal blend- a mix of woods and leaves. Then the sweetness starts to develop too. After a couple of hours, this had faded dramatically leaving almost no scent behind. Strange. There is a faint lingering creaminess as it dries down. I don't really get any of the incense note but maybe that will get stronger as it ages? This is definitely an autumn scent. Nice!

    Penumbra

Wet this is sweet florals, tobacco and musk. When first on this is herbal, floral, misty and sweet. There's something mossy in here too. After several minutes this becomes a soft floral blend. It smells a lot like Purple Phoenix but softer and less sweet. After a couple hours this smells mostly like moonflower which I love. This doesn't change much more on me. This is nice. Fans of Purple Phoenix will like this one.

    The School-House

Wet this is clean white woods, fresh and a bit soapy. When first on this is light and fresh dandelion. This feels like white and pale yellow. After a few minutes this sweetens up. It still has a soapy smell which I like. After a couple of hours, this has a nice white wood smell- this must be the birch. There's also a hint of sap. This is really nice! It's fresh and clean but a little woodsy too. It's a soft scent and not very long lasting but I still like it a lot.

    A Blade of Grass

Wet this is freshly cut grass! Strong and herbal. It smells just like grass that's been cut by a lawnmower. When first on it smells the same but maybe a little softer. It's uncanny how much this smells like the real thing! After a couple of hours this has softened and warmed up. I can smell the autumn leaves now too. On the drydown this is a lovely blend of newly fallen leaves and grass. This is a really unique blend. It's an interesting mix of the contrast between the freshness of the grass and the decay of the fallen leaves. It's a bit melancholy in feeling. Maybe because it reminds me of those days when summer is ending and autumn is beginning and the way that the sunlight starts to look different. Beautiful job Beth!

    Katrina van Tassel

Wet this is dewy roses, honey and cream. When first on this is very strong roses with a warm feeling to them (unlike the chilly feeling of Rose Red for example). After a few minutes, the rose starts to soften and the creaminess develops. After a couple of hours the honey comes out making this a lovely rose, cream and honey blend. On the drydown this is a very soft, close to the skin honeyed rose blend. Beautiful! A must try for any rose lover.

Irrelevant and Disturbing Surreal Crawdad Dream

Wet this is very sweet and fruity. It smells pink and red. There's a warmth in the background. When first on this is very soft and not sweet at all. It's almost non-existent! There's a warm and creamy aquatic feel to it. After a couple of minutes I can smell the red currant and green tea. Then the ginger starts to develop. After a couple of hours the blueberry starts to come out. This is much sweeter now than when it was first applied. On the drydown this is a soft ginger and red musk blend. This is sort of like a combination of Mi-Go Brain Canister and Monster Bait: Closet. This is really nice! I'm so glad I decided to get a bottle of this truly special blend. Thank you Beth and Lilith Victoria!
