Sweet, nice foody true to notes, but a little too sweet perfumey. I'm going to re-try this as I can definately see the potential.

    Cockaigne

Where's the wine??? I get spice, spice and more spice. Nutty spice. If there's cake in there it's spice cake. Oh yeah, did I say spice yet? Not for me and I love foody... I'm very impatient and I know i need to give bpalz time to cure on me. 45 min later I get the Butter Rum and I'm kinda diggin' it. Once I got past the initial blast, I definately see possibilities with this. Glad I didn't wash It off... HEY!!! I JUST MADE A MATCH (a close one anyway) This is very much like Spring Training 2008 from the Trading Post - very close, I think ST is a little less intense, but I have Cockaigne on the left and ST on the right and they are definately in the same family

    Cathode

Aquatic, Ozone Lemon Verbena (where's the mint?) Not for me - I usually steer clear of the aquatics and this falls into that catagory for me....

    O

Honey tends to go musky on me, this fortunately does not. It is a light fresh honey. I want to say "honey flower" but I don't want to suggest floral. I really like it and it might go to a bottle purchase.

    A Countenance Forboding Evil

Sharp and highly concentrated Patchouli and Vetiver - I was hoping for more of the orange - smells like hubby's shoe trees. This will not translat to a bottle purchase.

    Shango

In the Imp: Grape Soda Wet: Still Grapey/Fruity Dry: Sickeningly Sweet Floral Perfume - Where'd the fruit go? No bottle purchase here.

    Manila

Does not smell like banana on me - smells like jasmine on me which usually goes off on me. Not going to translate into a bottle purchase which is fine with my wallet. It quickly went to incense, meh.

    Bliss

Aptly named!!! Smells like the Hershey Chocolate Factory in Hershey PA (the original factory)! This is even cooler because Hershey just released a new chocolate candy named "Bliss"!!! Poifect!!! Smells like chocolate being made and it doesn't morph at all - 3 hours later it still smells the same only slightly fainter. Me likey!

    The Scales of Deprivation

LOVELY!!! Like clothes dried on the line!!! Lavender, yes, but not the knock you over kind. Yes, it does seem to soften to a powder but all the other notes are there, albiet painfully subtle. Thanks labbies for picking this one for me, I never would have tried this based on the notes, but now you've got me considering a bottle...

    MVJBA: Spring Training 2008

Yum!!!! Sweet, Buttery + Brown Sugary Peanut Brittle. I do get that coffee scent even on my skin, but it's one of those sweet dessert-like coffees covered in whipped cream and carmel drizzles. Glad I jumped on this, I do believe I might need a back-up of this. Hey, Cockaigne Fans, you might like this - It's very close, not as intense as Cockaigne but definately in the same scent family!!!

    Incantation

Not what I was expecting based on the notes. Better for hubby than me, very after-shavey, but nice for him and tremendous stay.

    The Forbidding Foyer

It is pleasant wood - I love to smell it, I'm just not sure it's a way I want to smell - After 5 minutes It does remind me of emptying out the full pencil sharpener in elementary school and I do like that nostalgia, I'll probably keep it for that reason. After 20 minutes the wood has softened up to a bit of a sweet mohagany a little sweeter than a brand new shoe tree like opening up a old cedar chest that hasn't been opened in years. Verdict: Undecided...
