Witchee, would you like anything from this particular Haunt update?
I don't understand the point of Haunt, truth be told. All this fuss over products that only like five people are able to get.
Who's interested in Halloween: Montreal?
You get a package in the mail containing 3 things you have really wanted more than anything else you've mentioned so far in this thread. (they are all reasonably priced of course! ~$20 or less apiece). What are they?
Some sort of carnelian jewelry--ring, bracelet, pendant, whatever. A ring would be especially nice.
Some dyed silk ribbons. I don't know what the hell I'll do with them, but I saw some on Etsy once that I just LOVED. A girl can dream.
A tin of snowbud white from Adagio. Siiigh. Love in a cup.
how do you feel about hemp? jewelry, soap, etc?
I like hemp. I do not like hemp when some idiot decides to store one of my giant balls of the stuff for the winter by wrapping the loose end in DUCT TAPE and then I have to cut off like 10 feet because it's covered in duct tape gunk and--ahem. Sorry. Flashbacks to unpacking inventory at camp. I like hemp jewelry, hemp soap, whatever. Good stuff.
What kind of purse do you prefer? Leather, cloth? over the shoulder or crossbody, or something that can do either? Do you like bold bright prints with fun things, or monochrome, solid colours?
Any material is fine. Crossbody is preferable. I gravitate to bright and bold, and there is not a single fuck given about whether it goes with my outfit. My current purse is an absolute beast. Have I already talked about this purse? It's purple and has llamas on it.
julep maven monthly boxes:
It sounds interesting. My style profile thingy says I'm "Boho Glam."
Your favorite restaurant or type of food to eat out. Would you use a restaurant.com voucher? Groupon?
Sushi and Italian, probably.
Like commercial socks?
I love socks so much.
What kind of bear is best?
A gummy bear! No, probably a polar bear.
Is anyone interested in reading The Night Circus?
It sounds interesting.
Hershey's Pumpkin Spice kisses?
I didn't know these were a thing. I'd totally try some.
I have a not-so-secret love for The Broship of the Rings. Are there any prints from her store you'd like?
I do not think I need any prints, but bwahahahaha this is funny!
Who here likes Stephanie Pui-Min Law's artwork?
Siiigh. Love! I seriously considered buying her tarot deck when I went shopping for the one I'm currently using.
Do you drink wine?
Yes. Yes I do.
Is it just me who is nervous at revealing herself to her witchee, and finding out who her witch is?!
I am a little nervous, I think. But I've been trying to be really good to my witchee. I'm not nervous about finding out who my Miss Witch is, though. Such awesomeness is not to be feared.
Witches, did you lament NOT getting one of the condom case/imp cases that got released with the courtesan series???
There were condom cases?
I recently saw candy corn in non-candy corn flavors like CHOCOLATE and CARAMEL APPLE. It's not a fancy brand, I just saw it in the drugstore, but who here would like something like that?
I do not know how I feel about this. I would totally try some, though.
JONES SODA CO has LE soda packs for The Guild, Buffy, D&D, So Cute, etc. Would you be interested in these, Witchee?

It's Banned Books Week! Are there any books on the list you'd be interested in checking out?
I've read quite a lot of them, truthfully. And there are several more that I haven't read but own and am working toward reading.
I have just been enlightened to THESE. Are these flavors relevant to your interests?
Clove Cigarette, Dead Sexy and Rose Citrus are all very relevant to my interests. Also relevant to my interests: the Honey Blossom, Sweet Cream and Candied Violette bonbon lip balms.
What is something people are always surprised to learn about you?
Probably that I am pagan. If you met me in person, you'd have no idea. I don't advertise it much.
So who else watched Babylon 5?
If you had to decide what your stripper name was, what would it be?
Hahaha. If I went by the formula mentioned in the thread it'd be Katie Carthage. I suppose I could use one of the names of the pets we had when I was born, but which one? Bat Carthage is the best, I suppose...
Sooooo Witchees, have you ever taken that particular personality test? If so, are you an Analytical, a Driver, an Expressive or an Amiable?
I took it once and got Analytical, took it again and got Expressive. I'm ruthlessly organized and precise and nitpicky about things in the work environment, but I'm also very good at fixing people's personal problems and stuff. This summer, my boss would often be like, "...Go fix this for me" and I'd go and sort out problems for her.
Is anyone else afraid of or creepy out by dummies/puppets/Muppets/etc? Other things you're squicked/freaked by that's best left by the wayside?
I am absolutely terrified by anything with more than eight legs. You know what I'm referring to. I had A Traumatic Experience with one of Those Things when I was a wee child, and I've never recovered.
...It fell into the bathtub with me. It had like fifty thousand legs and THEY CAN SWIM.
what level of contact were you hoping for?
I didn't really know what to expect. I wanted a witch who would contact me semi-regularly and just talk to me. I've got some things I'm dealing with right now that are kind of challenging, and getting the little ecards from my witch makes it easier to keep on trucking. I'm happy with my witch, though.
Are there any local museums/attractions you keep never getting around to going to?
I've never been to the NC Museum of Art. Or to Carowinds, for that matter.
Is there any kind of international candy you love or would like to try?
I had the most amazing candy from either Brazil or Colombia this summer--it was like these tiny little packages of super-silky caramel that one of the international staff brought. You bit off the corner and then could just suck the caramel out. Heavenly. I also adore Colombian coffee candies.
What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions?
I have fallen in love with Alexander Rybak. If you want to enlist an European nacho witch's help, Miss Witch, I would LOVE to receive him in my final gift. Not just his music--HIM. He's pretty. Make sure he comes with his violin, okay?
Is there any cheesy/non-cheesy Canadian stuff you'd be interested in?
There's a lot of Canadian stuff out there. I have no idea where to begin.
If you were to go here and create your very own chocolate bar, what might it have in it?
Milk chocolate with cinnamon, cardamom, sea salt and cayenne pepper.
Dark chocolate with the same combo as above.
White chocolate with lavender, candied rose petals, and pecans.
Milk chocolate with diced lemon peel, cayenne pepper, sea salt...
Is there anything you're wanting from LPMP?
I am not familiar with this.
say you stumbled into Camp Half Blood (or whatever the Roman camp ends up being named <bounces in anticipation>), which god claims you?
Hestia, Athena or Poseidon.
Stuff you've been meaning to do:
Get a tattoo. I had an appointment but chickened out. I was stressing about font choices and was also stressing about the cost. I am saving my money for a plane ticket, Miss Witch.
Would you be interested in regional jams, jellies, or other preserves?
Yes! That sounds delicious.
Do you have any bedtime rituals? Is there any particular product you have to apply or a certain shirt you wear or an act you perform to get you in the "bedtime" mood?

Are you interested in today's/any recent Tee Fury shirts?
Today's shirt features Cthulhu. I like Cthulhu!
Princess Bride? Yay or nay?
SO MUCH YAY.
What's your favorite classic fairytale, witches?
I answered this in thread! Because it was my question...
how do you feel about ethical animal fiber, i.e. wool and the like?
I do not have a problem with this.
What about little wee creatures for your desk or mantel?
There is not a thing about that sentence that doesn't fill me with squee.
Look down. What are you wearing, right now?
Well, I answered this in thread too, but that was then and this is now and I never have a problem babbling about myself. I am wearing a bright blue tank top with lace detailing at the neck, these really horrendous old sweatpants that were ALSO the victim of drive-by tie-dyeing, Agape and my friendship bracelet.
Those are SO CUTE, I'm going to find a way to make one for MY witchee!
It's the weekend, and you find yourself without a single chore or responsibility for a few hours. Right this very moment, what's the one thing you would do if you could do anything?
That pretty much WAS this past weekend. I went shopping with my daddy yesterday and today I lounged in bed, read some, did some writing, and watched a hockey game.

Mmmm. The white broccoli alfredo pizza from the Brew & View in Asheville--alfredo sauce, broccoli, onions, tomatoes. YUM. Or, if I'm eating meat, the Funky Chicken--barbecue sauce, red onion, bacon, chicken. AMAZING.
who are your style/fashion icons? post pics if you want!
I don't really have any. My fashion tastes vary too much.
Are there any food items you're craving/aren't able to find around your area?
A legitimate Maine lobster roll. Siiigh.
If you're interested in a handmade pouch/cover for an item you have (phones, tablets, books, keys, kettles...), what would your ideal pouch/cover have? Design, material, additional functionality/features like pockets or lights or secret hidey-holes?
Something for my Nook would be nice. I have a plain blue leather case for it right now. I'd love something with bold colors--literary quotes, perhaps, like maybe "To lose her heart" from "The Girl That Circumvented Fairyland In A Ship of Her Own Making". As far as design, it'd just need to be open on the bottom so I could plug in the charger cable, and open on top for the power button. And a pocket inside would be lovely. I have some hockey cards riding around in my Nook case right now.
Would you like a photo collage based around your interests/favorite colors/favorite themes?
Sure, why not?
If you're crafty, are you interested in spoonfeather? And if so, what things there delight your eyes?
Spoonfeather is really cool, but WHY SO EXPENSIVE.
Colors! What are your favorite colors and what colors do you not like? Pictures and links, people!
Blues, purples, greens (any shade of those three, I love my cool colors), black/white/silver, pure shades of red/crimson/scarlet. I don't DISLIKE orange or yellow, but they have to be certain shades for me to go "Oooooooh" over--like, really warm peaches, corals, terra cottas, etc. Bold buttery yellows. I dislike the brownish-taupey colors. Blech.
What is your favorite word?
I have LOTS. Ethereal, effervescent, Byzantine, iridescent, luminous, pearl, incessant, shimmer,

IA IA CTHULHU!
Is there something that you wish you could do, but you keep putting it off?
There are things I'd like to do, but mostly it's all about time and money.
Put your current mp3player (I am the anti-apple, so no ipod ), winamp playlist, what have you, on shuffle, list the first 10 songs:
I answered this one in the thread!
Witchee, have you made (or are you planning to make) any Lab or Trading post orders soon? And if you did (or plan to), you should share what you're getting.
I am not, unless I get my decants of Ghosts in Love/Le Revenant and fall in LOVE.
Do you have any interest in rocks? Not like, polished colorful stones.. but like... rocks. With geologic significance!
Yes, especially if there is magnificent trippy-hippy meaning attached to them. I am easily amused.
If your witch were to knit you a scarf/shawl/cowl, which would you prefer, and what features would you want? Would you prefer something light and drape-y or thick and warm? What kind of colors would you prefer? Do you have any fiber allergies or preferences?
If a shawl--something light and drapey. If a scarf, warm and thick. If using wool, please choose a blend with a little synthetic fiber mixed in so it's not quite as itchy. As far as colors go...my coat is a light ivory, so preferably bright and bold. I am fantasizing about bold reds these days because whenever I go yarn-shopping for myself I end up going berserk for the blues/greens/purples.
If you have a pet, could you please post a photo of it? I really need to see what your pet, if you have one, looks like.

If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day.
Bath products: I use Wylde Ivy bar soaps (though right now I'm using some other random orchid-scented goat's milk bar soap). Herbal Essence shampoo (the blue coconuty kind) and conditioner (that AMAZING purple stuff for curl-taming). I mix up my own sugar scrub once a week on Fridays.
Face products: Burt's Bees's garden tomato soap and toner; Burt's Bees herbal blemish stick where applicable.
Tea: I favor Irish breakfast tea in the morning, that or a yummy chai.
Food: I go through gum and mints at a shameful rate.
Irish breakfast tea in the mornings.
Jane Austen .. Yay or Nay?
YAY. In a HUGE WAY.
I put up quotes I love in my office and studio to get me going, They range from goofy to sarcastic to inspirational... Are you interested in a hand painted quote? Do you have one in mind, or a topic in mind?
Oh, my, yes! I love this quote by Rumi: "Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray."
Or the pair of couplets that I have ALWAYS loved from Shu Ting's "Fairytales."
The heart may be tiny
But the world's enormous.
The world may be tiny
But the heart's enormous.
Do you like period or period-styled paraphernalia? Stuff like postcards, notecards, jewelry, office supplies, what-have-you?
YES YES YES YES YES. Prissy, ridiculous Victoriana ahoy.
If you like manga, comics, and/or graphic novels, what is it about them that you like, in general? The story, the art/style, etc?
I do not generally care for manga, etc.
If you could choose a Smack, what would it have in it?
if you could have a salon scent made, based on any artwork(s) what would it be?
Hmmm. Any of the paintings that have been posted in the thread, especially the Waterhouse ones. Siiiigh. But in light of our conversation about the Brandywine River Museum..."The Gaggle." Can't you just picture it? Soft white musk, light airy (feathery?) florals, something bright and sparkling...
...also, I am obsessed with geese.
Are you scientifically curious and/or process-oriented? Would you like a project-type gift that allowed you do do something like make soap from scratch, take and (nontoxic-ly) develop photographs using a pinhole camera, use plant dyes on yarn or fabric, etc.?
YES to soap from scratch/plant dyes. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. /biology major
What's 'your' song/your theme song?
It really depends on my mood. But when I am happy!Nikki, like really and truly happy, the song that best encapsulates my personality in that mode is BT - "Lullaby For Gaia". It has the same bubbly, effervescent quality.
What would be your superpower?
Being able to fly over the land and just magically fix people's emotional shit. Wouldn't that help everyone?
Witchee, would you like a gently used BPAL tshirt?
Sure, why not?
Do you like homemade snack mixes? I know Puppy Chow was mentioned in a previous question, but what about healthier and more natural type snacks like granola or trail mix? You can put a lot of delicious and fun things into trail mix, yeah? If you say "Sure, I'd love some!" what kinds of things do you like/not like in those kinds of snacks, ie coconut flakes, raisins, certain nuts (allergies??), candy, etc. Give us your list of DO's and DON'Ts!
There's really not much I don't like with regards to trail mix and granola. I sincerely cannot think of anything. Well. I don't really like wasabi-flavored things. I was eating wasabi peas once and the wasabi was just something to be endured. I do like spicy things though.

It's not difficult to find things that I like. Shopping with me is an adventure.
