doomsday_disco Report post Posted July 23 The applause fades, the lights dim, the air chills in the darkness, and the hunger remains. No indulgence can drown it, no ecstacy can silence it: icy claws digging desolation into your heart as agonizingly familiar voices whisper every old cruelty into your ears. Immortal emptiness, endless starless nights: black leather, clove smoke, crimson amber, black patchouli, and the last curl of extinguished incense.
Joyleaf_ Report post Posted August 16 This starts out as very reminiscent of Constellation, all amber and clove. As it dries down the leather and patch come out to play and beautifully blooms into something soft and sweet. Doesn't last very long on my skin, but envelops me in a sweetly scented cloud that has me sniffing my wrist, trying to find the concentrated dose. No matter how hard I sniff, I can't find it. Apt, for a scent based on loneliness I guess.
wilhelmscream Report post Posted August 17 In the bottle: Oooooh that is a leather and clove abyss! On the skin: Classic goth club vibes. Clove and incense smoke in a sea of black leather. The amber gives everything a sweet, soft muskiness. It's almost a little more like the morning after being out late at a goth club, a sort of faded and dreamy quality to it all. LavenderCoffee Report post Posted August 21 you can't clove smoke away the loneliness, but you can try with this gloriously moody rock and roll cousin to snooty bat. while the wispy crimson amber and clove of it all is truly stunning and super wearable, I have to admit I wanted more glitter and bisexual lighting from this scent, a bit more oppositional defiance, because the song is such a triumphant howl into the void: make art and music in the face of loneliness! face the muses who haunt you! levitate during your guitar solo! but that's just my 2 cents. plus this will also layer nicely with some of the vamps in the collection. patina Report post Posted August 27 A less snooty Snooty Bat, I think. It has little throw on me but the sweet clove is lovely. The patchouli is very detectable when first applied but it is well behaved on my skin. I can smell leather as well. I love it but there are clove scents I prefer
ghoulnextdoor Report post Posted August 27 A coat still holding the shape of the absent shoulders, creases cold, tannic and animal, the animal long gone. A numb spot spreading, a spiced anesthetic warmth, a thing you can smell but no longer feel. A low red glow sealed under stone, sweetness gone fossil, honey nobody can eat anymore. Underneath, a dank resin, the incensed underside of a floorboard. There is nothing except the inside, but the inside is empty.
DigitalCoyote Report post Posted Monday at 01:49 AM This is a clove cigarette single note on me from start to finish. It's quieter than Thorns and Snooty Bat.
