doomsday_disco Report post Posted July 23 A lonely killer's anthem, taut with lost love stitched closed with black silk sutures splitting open again beneath white-hot spotlights. Black leather creased with age, velvet roses thrown onto the stage, sweet plum wine, silvered lilies, gunpowder residue, smoky amber, and a whisper of glittering white musk drifting through the wreckage after the final encore. LavenderCoffee Report post Posted August 21 a caveat, with the weather being so hellish lately, this one in particular really needed an extra day or two to settle after delivery. I had to try this even though I am not a huge fan of lilies. don't hate them or love them. but I was super intrigued by gunpowder, and ultimately I enjoy how both notes are deployed in this scent! it's lovely lily and plummy rose up front, and primarily a worn in leather scent with nice kick of gunpowder and a wisp of smoke on drydown. like someone threw a bouquet on the stage and someone else drew a gun, but the show must go on, bruises and all! modest throw, not too heavy on floral or leather or smoke - it's a leather jacket anyone can slip into. DigitalCoyote Report post Posted August 26 (edited) Wet: Faint rose out of the gate first before being passed by juicy plum and the ghost of lillies. Semidry: All gunpowder. Dry: Gunpowder and leather and amber with a hint of floral lurking on the edges of where I applied this. The show is over and things are winding down but man, what a gig it was. ghoulnextdoor Report post Posted August 27 Sorcerous power…necromantic art…some sort of witchery fuckery of a rose possessing a dark vitality, a dreamy hydroponic humidity, turned back into the wine it was steeped in, or wine so dark it’s gone back to rose. A burnt-honey howl, the smoked musk of gunpowder afraid of a ghost but hot for its blood, but make it poetry, an aubade, written in the language of thorn-pricked thumbs.
