This is where I'll put all the in-thread questions to keep things easy for my witch to find! Also, where I'll put my wishlist links so they'll also be easy to find along with inspiration/social networks. Etsy BPAL Wishlist Pinterest 9/17/15 Pumpkin? love it, but not too sugary in food items. Not big on over decorating with pumpkins, and prefer things that are gray (like weathered vs. brand new orange). Booze? Not a big drinker. Will normally drink like a Paloma (great tequila, grape fruit juice, soda water), and if it's cold a Hot Toddy with lots of lemon and honey. Want anything from Yellowstone? Be it postcards, key chains, shot glasses, pint glasses, or huckleberry what have you? If you're there, sure! An old timey postcard would do! 9/18/15 I know there is a question about "decorating style", but if you're comfortable, could you should us some photos of your spaces? For those of us who like to art and craft, it can be nice to have a visual sense of decorating style! Just go here 9/19/15 Penny Dreadful? Love it! Tell me about your coffee and tea preferences! Do you prefer one, the other, both, or neither (and if it's neither, what about things like hot cider and cocoa)? Loose leaf or bags, whole bean or ground? Is caffeine OK? Any gadgetry you're in need of? Any brands or flavors that you particularly love, loathe, or want to try? I love loose tea, as well as bagged. My absolute fave is Lapsang Souchong, or any black smokey tea. Dark and smokey is my style. I don't like green tea or overly fruity tea. Flavored is ok, as long as it's still more black than fruity. Oh and I love herbal tea, but nothing with licorice. Gadgets wise, I like bags for loose tea, or mesh like spoons. Love coffee too, and prefer Stumptown, Peets or Water Ave. Sense of Humor? Dry, sense of humor with sarcasm thrown in. I also love laughing at stupid stuff. One of my fave movies to laugh at is Knocked Up. Hilarious stuff. Board Games? I'm a puzzle girl more than anything. Although I would like to learn how to play Mahjong, I even own a set! Just don't have anything to learn with. Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? Makeup. Scarves, gloves, or hats. Don't spend $$ or too much time on making things. Take it easy! Plain or fun socks? Fun socks FTW!! I knit funky socks, and love buying funky socks, like these unicorn ones! Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about? Tarot! I know nothing but oh so curious! Cards in general are intriguing, the whole pull a card, read and interpret. I'd like to know a bit about the history, general meanings, use, and interesting ways to incorporate into life. What one thing you would like to do more of? Meditation! Since I adopted a new puppy, my meditation practice has gone down the toilet. What are some things that fascinate you? Fascinate: Vintage paper ephemera, vintage children's books, Japanese pop culture. For example, I'm always drawn to postcards (especially Japanese culture and Native American), weird children's books, and then newer Hello Kitty collaboration things. But when it comes to nature, I'm fascinated by the skies, small flowered plants (like alpines), and the wonderful planets. Reading/Learning about: Reading dystopian novels such as Station Eleven, Hunger Games as well as fantasy. 9/20: Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? never heard of it, sure! Is there any particular piece (or pieces) of art (painting, photograph, etc) that speaks to you in some way? I'm a Japanese prints junkie (old stuff, like this. Salvador Dali's The Invisible Man, and black and white photography of Man Ray. Do you want to receive knit or crocheted items? If so, could you describe or even link to a couple of items similar to what you would like to receive? I'd be happy to receive fingerless gloves, silly creatures, washcloth. What kinds of things would you like from the Lilith BPAL or BPTP update (or are you joining a decant circle?) I just joined a decant circle, and like always I'll update my BPAL wishlist if something is a total win! 9/21/15 Would you like anything from Lush? Shower bars, bubble bars and bath bombs would be amazing. I'm pretty easy with scents. Do you prefer hand-made or store-bought? Either! I have a strong love for handmade, and just as much respect for well made store items. In general, I'm pro-indie maker. :-) SPICY! Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" and 10 being "ghost pepper? scorpion pepper? I laugh at these! I love as much heat as you can throw my way!" Where are you? 6-7. I love hot sauce and hot/spicy items but mainly in Indian food. 9/22/15 What scents from other perfume companies are you really wanting to have in your collection and or are just really wanting to test? Nope! I'm dedicated to BPAL world only. Makes it much easier to manage the wallet, and honestly I just can't keep up with all of the other makers. I do, however, appreciate Lush bath and body items (just nothing perfume oriented). Do you have an affinity for any specific animals? All of the baby ones! I'm also a recent puppy owner, so he's for the most part the only thing in my life :-) Kitchen Needs or Wants: Do you need (or want) anything for your kitchen, either in the way of simple gadgets, supplies you always run out of, or never remember to get, kitchen decor (functional or purely decorative), or dry goods like special spices or spice blends? Spice blends are always fun, and spice rubs too. We do tons of grilling veggies and meat, plus we cook a ton at home. We eat Thai, Vietnamese, BBQ, Japanese, Italian, you name it. We don't judge much in this arena. 9/23/15 Makeup! Do you like it, would you want some? If so what brands do you like to wear? Yes, I like it. I'm a MAC girl with some use of Make Up For Ever, but honestly, I don't wear a ton of makeup and I'm pretty picky on what I wear. But I do like MAC's Lipglass in Desire. :-) Chocolate fiends ahoy! What kind of chocolate do you like? Do you like any other things in it or just plain good ole chocolate? Dark chocolate with almonds and sea salt. Someone mentioned above about chocolate vendor preferences, and I would say I'm the same. I prefer more artisanal then say something like Hershey's. Would you be opposed to receiving a ton of Halloween themed items? Not at all! "Special little thing" from the Great Lakes Bat Festival? So adorable! I loved the decal and tote. What items from the Weenie update interest you, should you have to option of getting anything as a gift from your Witch??? Would you be ok with decants, or bottles? Oh boy!! that update was insane! What's your favorite scary movie? Or movies, either way. If you don't like horror, what are your favorite movies to watch this time of year? I used to love watching horror, but now find it to be too much. I much prefer psycho thrillers and tend to steer towards more indie stuff. One of my fave vampire movies is "Let The Right One In", along with "TrollHunter" but I do love Buffy, Coraline, Pan's Labyrinth among others. 9/24/15 Blu-ray or DVD? DVDs, but at this point I mainly stream from Netflix or Amazon. Game systems - console or computer? Mac/PC? Which console? None, sorry! I don't do games. Are you dressing up for Halloween and if so do you need any accessories for if? I don't normally do, but when I do, I have a huge stash of props :-) Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles? I'm purse obsessed, and I'm not allowed any more! However, if it's a canvas bag with maybe a pocket for things, then I wouldn't turn it down dear Witch. Size wise, just big enough to fit a book, wallet and a knitting project. And I love silly canvas bags especially book, cat/animal, anime themed. What are your favorite fandoms and do you want to receive anything related to such? I'm not a fangirl of much. I'm a huge lover of Japanese culture, from paintings to origami paper. And yes, I have a tiny Hello Kitty collection but only because it was free. I'm much more interested in the obscure and lesser known aspects/things of Japanese culture. (Besides a turkey leg, which won't ship well!) No thanks, RennFaire has never really interested me. Do you like comics or graphic novels? Any issues or collections you want to read? Yes! Mainly graphic novels written by Japanese authors that have been translated. For example, Osamu Tezuka and his Buddha series. I also haven't read all of Sandman, essentially everything after Preludes and Nocturnes is on the "to read" list. Do you like fanfic? Would you like a story written for you as part of your gift? If you could provide color swatches here or to pinterest (or something visual), that would help out a lot. Ivory or burgundy/red Would you rather receive a bunch of little packages through the round, a couple of medium packages, or one big package at the end? Your choice! I'm easy and will be excited regardless :-) If/when you go to the mall, for which store(s) do you beeline? I don't go to the mall, as Portland has very few of them and instead seek out individual storefronts like Powell's books, Anthropologie, and sometimes Sephora. I'm also a sucker for TJ Maxx and Marshalls! Do you receive any subscription boxes (julep, lootcrate, ipsy, birchbox, etc.)? No I don't, best to stay away from that addiction. Would Witchees like something from IKEA? (Or any other not always accessible by everyone store?) I'm pretty lucky and have a huge range of stores in the area. My preference though is small biz which generally don't have large e-commerce presence, and Etsy folks. For those of us with out-of-country Witchees, would you be happy with receiving a few packages from local to you merchants (say, through Etsy or equivalent)? Absolutely! Do you like tarts/candles/incense? If so, what type of scents? Love them all, except I don't do tarts as much as I don't have a proper place to burn them. Birds of paradise are super cool, as are orchids :-) Would you be interested in any cozies or cases (yarn o fabric, not hard cases) for tech stuff (phone, laptop' etc) or for cups/mugs/bottles or anything else similar.
