  1. Very perfumey from application to dry down.  Dry, red musk dominant, but enjoyable, as I don't have a lot of scents in my collection that are like this.  FWIW, I am not getting orange blossom, even though this is why I got this decant in the first place.  OK to try, but not for me.

  2. Nothing like the dead here.  Getting a sexy cherry first, along with blue cotton candy.  Dries to a spun sugar cherry/berry lotion, but I mean that in the best way. This is a luscious, fun, summer blend. It smells high end and young.  Reminds me of something like Fresh would formulate, only without the alcohols.  I may try to procure more of this...

ETA:  This is not long wearing, and lasts only about an hour on my skin, I don't think that will stop me from getting more though...

  3. I almost went straight to bottle, but need to restrain myself.  The notes all looked great to me, except sandalwood, which can often overpower a blend.  At first, pretty much woody, perfumey sandalwood.  After a bit, amber comes out, but sandalwood is still the star.  This is smelling rather 'tinny' and metallic on me, and I'm glad I just went with the decant.  I wish the vanilla and rice milk were more present, as I think it would have made this blend glorious.  I'll keep the decant just to see, but for now, its just too sandalwood forward.

eta:  Weird that this is quite strong on me, while others have noted that it's a rather quiet blend.

  4. I love orange blossom, and it loves me, so I had to try this.  Right off, the orange blossom, which always smells a bit bitter on me at first.  I do love the lab's almond note, and I wouldn't know it's here, so maybe green almond is a bit different?  This ends up being a spa scent to me, which is fine.  Clear, clean and pretty, and is very close to the skin. I will definitely use the decant, maybe in some hand cream that I'm making.

  5. Spoiler

Sometimes snow and ice blends can become snow dominant on me, but this one is quite lovely and well balanced.  I'm getting mostly plumeria, which I love, and a touch of ice.  This would be very nice as a lotion scent, and now that I think about it, this is quite close to Ava, though this one is warmer, even with the ice note.  Since I have Ava, I don't need any more, though this one is quite pretty.

  6. Dusty coconut at first.  I'm not really fond of the lab's coconut note because it smells pretty dusty on me.  I was curious, though, so had to at least try it.  After a few hours, the dustiness actually fades, and we're left with coconut, mallow, and a sweet whisp of lilac.  I like it at this stage, but it takes too long to get there.  I'm not a huge coconut fan, but like it on occasion when I need to have a bit of tropical in my life. I will keep the decant, it is quite pretty (but only after the dustiness fades!)

  7. Elegant indeed.  Slightly fruity amber with a touch of coconut.  I'm also getting some heavy duty lotus here. I am going to have to retest this tomorrow, as I have a patchouli blend on my wrist (Elegant flowers of the Prosperous 12 Seasons),and it is meshing very well with this one. I really didn't want to get another luper, though this *was* almost a blind bottle.  I should have listened to my gut.

  8. I should have listened to my instincts and went straight to bottle with this one, but money was tight at the time. Most Snake Oil variants work well for me, and this is not exception.  I seems unisex to me, very much a dominant (fresh) base SO with woods, and maybe a bit of amber This is shooting way up there on my top ten, and I need a bottle or two stat.  It will age magnificently.

eta: This is becoming more and more like the chess piece SO variant, that I can replicate by layering SO with Twisted Oak Tree. Regretfully I'm just going to pass, as I can get the same effect myself.  I wish it stayed as it was early on when applied.

  9. Definite basmati rice at first. It has a slightly floral fragrance to me. I like it at this point.  After a bit the incensey champaca comes out, and its seems like the rice note has become more of a cream one, the one the Lab uses quite frequently in their 'creamy' blends.  These two notes are not meshing with me and I will be passing this one along.

  10. Bright, juicy grapefruit.  I can't really tell if it's the pink or yellow, I think because the bergamot is also present and confusing my nose.  Oh man, I'm a sucker for citrus, (especially grapefruit), and this does not disappoint.  Sometimes I have a problem with white musk, it becomes screeching on me, but it behaves here.  Hopefully this will last on my skin, as citrus blends sometimes do a disappearing act, but so far, so good.  I will add this imp to my collection, and won't turn down any more that come my way.

ETA:  Gone within the hour.  Such a disappointment.

  11. I need to learn that the lab's strawberry note just does not work on me, or maybe the strawberry scent in general.  A tween scent for sure, waxy strawberry of the fake variety, very fruity.  After a couple of hours, it smells like strawberry fruit leather, which is an improvement, but still not my jam.  :)  FWIW, I don't get any kind of crepe scent here.

  12. Honey and amber do so well together in this year lupers, at least so far!  I'm getting juicy currant and a touch of sweet honey at first, which dries down to a rich, robust honey amber with a touch of the currant.  I like this, and will use up the decant.  It seems a bit rich for warmer weather, but is lovely for a cooler day or evening.

  13. This one reminds me of O, it's the same honey and amber.  My husband just said I smelled really good, and he doesn't say that often.  I have a super aged partial 10 ml of O, so don't need any more, but I bet this one will age magnificently.  I'll keep an eye out for more decants, as this one is growing on me.

eta:  There is a bit of a dusty incense that is quite a bit like Flowering Chrysanthemums, which definitely makes this blend more Luper-y than O.  So O and FC pretty much.  OK, everything is coming back to me.  This is very similar to Chrysanthemum Moon, too, as it dries down, but I no longer own a bottle to compare.  Nice!

  14. Very classy and high end perfume in the imp.  On, peachy musk as described, quite lovely and tropical, which I associate peach with for some reason. It reminds me of The Harp and Cabaret Goth at this point (only with peach instead of orange base). The amber, as Lizzy says, is gorgeous, very reminiscent of The Golden Hour.  The peach, however, is amping on me, and I'm not a huge peach fan.  I like it, and will keep the decant, but no upgrade necessary.

  15. I initially passed on this one, as I do have a lot of lavender blends.  After reading reviews, I managed to snag a few decants, and I'm not disappointed.  Floral lavender with sweet ginger goes nicely together, and I really like this, and may hunt down more.  The only complaint is that it is a fast fader, but  I hope time can help to remedy this.

  16. Very crisp and clear citrus scent.  I'm getting aloe and lemon and a touch of eucalyptus.  It reminds me of a more crisp Embalming Fluid.  I will use the decant, as I love citrus scents, but I already have EF,  so don't need any more.

  17. Mostly just tea on me, with a touch of lemon.  I wish the amber came out more, but for now it is MIA.  Reminds me of Embalming Fluid, so I don't need any more.

ETA:  Fades into nothing pretty fast

  18. Clear, sheer vanilla.  It is very nice, but so close to Zorya Pulchonaya, that I can barely tell the difference.  This is a bit more 'fluffier', though and a tad more warm.  It fades faster than ZP too, which is a minus.  I wouldn't turn down more if it landed on my lap, but quite thankful that it is close enough to my beloved ZP that I don't have to hunt down any more. I would experiment by adding a warmer vanilla, such as Antique Lace to ZP to get more of a CL effect. Lovely scent, though, baby lace is a good description up thread.  I do get a definite baby powder vibe.

  19. I'm getting a slightly soapy lavender, I'm wondering if the white amber is the culprit.  Not getting any mint or bourbon vanilla, which disappoints me greatly.  This is just 'OK' on me, and I'll probably keep it, as I'm a lavender fiend, but I was expecting more.

eta:  I wore it to bed tonight, and was wondering where the cool beautiful amber/bourbon vanilla with a touch of lavender was coming from.  It seems the throw around me was quite amazing.  I am quite happy that this one seems to be changing for the better.

  20. I love pink grapefruit, but yuzu gives me pause, as it tends to make a blends dry and dusty on me.  First off, lovely pink grapefruit, and maybe a touch of mandarin.  I'm not getting yuzu, so I am very happy.  This is a lovely citrus blend from the lab, and I will certainly enjoy the imp when I go on my tropical vacation next month.
