    Spanked Revisited

I am going through my stash and retesting now that my daughter is 3 and my nose has changed considerably. However, it doesn't appear as though I ever reviewed this one! I don't know how it slipped through the net, but here goes. In the imp it smells like sour patchouli, I don't know how old this is so I wonder if it has turned. Only testing a tiny bit based on that sniff! It smells really fake, like a new plastic toy. A bit of cinnamon comes through as it starts to dry, making my mouth water. It's starting to smell like Big Red chewing gum or Atomic Fireballs, yum! I mean "yum" in an, "I want to eat it" way, not a wearing way! Not one I will wear again, but I enjoyed testing it!

    Amsterdam

Frimp. I am quite scared to try this as aquatics and florals are my enemy. The bottle smells of sharp, fresh, grassy soap. On and wet it is a grassy soap. It's quite a nice soap actually. Definitely getting the grass and water. I'd love this as a shower gel. I'm not sure if I will keep it as I can't think of a situation in which I would like to wear it.

    Eat Me

Sniffing the imp I smell really sweet vanilla sponge cake with lots of frosting. I am taking a gamble with this, as sweet foods aren't a favourite, but I was intrigued enough to see if it morphed into anything. Wet reminds me of Penny Dreadful but without the gingersnaps smell. The currant smell is starting to creep out which is cutting through the frosting. Strong throw, I'm finding it too syrupy/creamy/sweet at the moment. I can smell the currants. It smells like after a party and there is squashed cake and currants on the floor. Not entirely unpleasant, just not for my nose.

    Dana O'Shee

In the imp I smell straight-up marzipan. It now smells of that Lush christmas soap, snowcake? I liked that soap so this isn't a bad smell. I imagine it would be nice to layer with my jasmine dusting powder (Silky underwear). Yep this is a keeper!

    Against Idleness and Mischief

Pollen-dusted honey, diligent tonka, steadfast chamomile, and goodly hyssop. In imp it smells of a calming chamomile and honey body cream. Something you may use when pregnant to relax and pamper yourself. As it dries it gets sweeter but not in a sticky way, in a slightly fresh way, possibly the pollen or hyssop. I'm loving it more as it dries, it's slightly fresher, less creamy, more like a lotion than a thick cream. Florals have always turned soapy on me, but this one hasn't as yet, hoping it stays that way as it is a lovely Spring/Summer fragrance at the moment! I smell the sun, and flowers, and being in the garden with my girl who is smiling. OH says it smells nice A big keeper!

    Bliss

Frimp: in imp it smells of chocolate cake! The chocolate has a good throw and I feel like I've dropped some on myself and it has started to melt. My OH says it smells like talcum powder and nothing like chocolate cake. Untrained nose! It smells like sweet, warm, dry chocolate. I like it, just not sure if I want to smell like it, especially if my OH can't pick it up. It's comforting and happy and childlike. Might actually be good for a baking session with my toddler

    Delirium

Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon. Frimp. Smelling the bottle I think: wow, rose *cringe*. I have had one experience with rose and it wasn't a happy one; I amp it to oblivion! Wet I smell a rose in a garden with someone eating apples and hanging out washing. As it dries, it starts to turn into a generic floral on me, ie. soap. It has a good throw, which I'm not liking in this instance! Dry it smells like rose soap. Not offensive, just not something I'm particularly looking for in a scent.

    Vasilissa

In the imp I smell fresh, heady, slightly foody. It's quite lovely. When on and drying, the myrrh comes out and reminds me of the base of snake oil, but not as sweet/honeyish. The jasmine starts to come out when dry, so far it has not turned sharp, which is a first. We'll see what happens! The jasmine is getting stronger, go away! The foody smell has died down, and it doesn't smell much like snake oil any more, which is a shame. I'm liking it less the more it dries, it smells drier and of jasmine incense, but not in a heady way. I can't believe how much this has changed, gutted! I don't mind it, but I'm not sure if I would actually wear it again

    Perversion

I bought a bottle based on reviews. At first sniff I was worried that I wouldn't be too keen on this. In the bottle I smell sweet/spicy/foody leather, incense, honey. I amp incense so was a tad worried about it. When first on it smelled quite foody, and I could taste it on the tip of my tongue. The leather was strong. As it dried it smelled like it would be a wonderful perfume to wear in Autumn, spicy, comforting, but still with the energy and zest of Summer behind it. The leather stayed and merged with the food, thankfully the incense stayed at the back giving a slight headiness to everything. It brought to mind a sweet, red cherry on top of a dark chocolate gateau, that you are eating off the chest of your lover while surrounded by leather instruments of pleasure I wouldn't wear this on a Summer's day, would like to try it again in the Autumn. Definitely want to try this in the bedroom. Good throw, good longevity.

    Prurience

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. Frimp. From first sniff I knew this had vertiver in it. I loathe vertiver, it ruins perfectly good blends and turnes them into a bitter smokey green mess. I'll test this anyway just to say I have. I think I can just about pick out carnation under the vertiver. Ths vertiver isn't as harsh as others I have tried, but it's still not for me.

    Time Does Not Bring Relief

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. I adore violets, I also like leather and myrrh and lavender so this was a must try. Having just tested an imp with my first try of orange blossom I now know that I amp this note, so it may be a problem for me. In the imp I smell lavender, beeswax and orange blossom, oh dear, and a hint of soap. On and wet I smell a shampoo smell, nooo! What is causing this? Where is the violet or the leather? I amp leather but it seems as though floral notes out amp that, and florals just turn to soap on me. I can smell violets from far away but not up close. I wonder what this will dry into. The orange blossom is making more of an appearance as it dries and is cutting through the soap smell. Currently it seems as though the orange is out amping the violet. I think I have found my new amp note of doom. I would never have though it would have been orange blossom!, it sounds so dainty! I'm afraid that this is all a bit of a mess of my skin so it's off to the swap pile.

    Kypris

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. I have yet to find a cherry that doesn't turn to spice on me, I'm hoping the vanilla in this scent will cure that. Sniffing the imp I smell bakewell tart with cream, delicious. It doesn't smell hideously foodie, more tart. On and wet it smells much the same except I can pick out pretty much all the notes. I can smell a slight spice hint which is worrying me because it will probably amp and make it smell like sweet incense. The smell has quite a good throw actually, if this doesn't morph then I may be onto a winner. As it's drying I don't really get cherry bakewell anymore which is such a shame. As normal the notes are morphing into one unknown mess. The rosewate is making an appearance now as is the lemonpeel, they have cut through the foody smell which I am not too happy about. I can't tell if I like this or not. I'll keep it purely to sniff from the imp but am not sure if I'll wear it.

    Burning Vulva

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. I took a bit of a gamble with this one, my skin doesn't respond well to scents with lots of notes in it. However I love vanilla, leather , tonka and myrrh so was willing to give this a try. In the imp I can smell the giner and orange blossom possibly along with a bit of creamy vanilla and green oakmoss. On and wet I get a scent that reminds me of Hermes d'Orange Verte - a crisp green orange. I already have this perfume and love it, hopefully the other notes will come out to morph this scent. The scent is fading when drying, I never caught a whiff of the leather which I normally amp! I'm surprised that the orange blossom came out on me really. This smells a bit bland on me which is a shame. But I would recommend it if you like crisp orange scents.

    Harigata II

I only have one other coconut blend so decided to try out this one, I quite like anise and amber but have never tried hazelnut. The imp smells like nougat! Yummy! On and wet the coconut and anise have mixed to form a lovely slightly sweetly spiced fresh coconut, the hazelnut has added a slight nutty quality to it. I'm not sure if I can pick put the white amber, maybe it's mingling with the anise to cause the sweet spice. The anie is getting stronger as it dries, which I should have guessed really because I amp spice notes. The notes have really mellowed out on my skin, it's almost like I have finished my bar of nougat. I do like this scent but not enough to buy a bottle.

    Young Pine Saplings

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. In the imp I smell pilau rice! That must be from the clove and ginger. This wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe the cream will come out on my skin. The ginger is strongest on my skin and seems to be blocking out anything else. It smells more like ginger powder as opposed to fresh ginger. Whenever I sniff it I get that funny dry feeling on the tip of my tongue like I do when eating ginger snaps! This is just too flat out ginger for me. It may have been nice if I could smell any of the other ingredients, but ginger has knocked them all out. I may put this one up for swaps.

    Loosening of the Obi

I am recovering from a cold so my nose may not be up to scratch. I admit to being intrigued by the rice wine. Sniffing the imp I can smell slightly spiced rice. I'm guessing this is the sandalwood mixing with the rice wine! It's a nice smell, clean and fresh with a slight sweetness to it. Not sure how well it will smell as a perfume. Once on my skin the musk is coming through quite strongly with the slight booziness of the rice wine behind it. The vanilla bean is slowly coming out to warm up the scent as it dries. When dry the scent reminds me of a lovely After Sun I used to use. It's a light refreshing smell with a slight sweetness to it. It smells a bit like a perfume sample you would get from a magazine, but much nicer! I think I will keep this for really hot days when I need to feel refreshed.

    Womb Furie

I ordered a half bottle of this and I am so glad that I did. I adore Snake Oil and was pretty sure that I'd love this too. The honey really mellows out the smell. I find Snake Oil too heavy for day wear, especially on a suny day, so this is where Womb Furie fits the bill! It's not a light version of snake oil, it's strong in it's own way, but it is sweeter and not as heavy smelling. Definately one to try!

    Clarity

This isn't a sharp scent but is still clearing and slightly mouthwatering. It smells like soft mint with a teeny tiny bit of lemon zest. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself and meditate.

    Determination

This smells like someone giving me a loving shove in the right direction. It smells strong but not sharp. It doesn't make me feel as though I am pulling on purely my own resources, but as though a loving parent is holding my hand and watching over me to keep me on track. How lovely. I suddenly feel all warm, calm and loved (I am currently on my own and am freezing because it is snowing outside!) What a strange feeling, I've not had a TAL oil work like that purely from a teeny sniff. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself before doing a task that I am struggling to start/complete.

    Glamour

WOW! This smells like a glamour goddess' dressing room. Beautiful perfumes, lotions, makeup all placed on an ornate dressing table. The glamour goddess looking into her huge mirror and brushing her long, perfumed locks. Definately one to try before a big night out! I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself and visualise how I would like to be perceived.

    Mantle of Venus

This smells a bit like The Raven in the violet sense. It is also soft and reminds me of a hot bath filled with rose petals surrounded by candles. Very feminine. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself or a candle and meditate.

    Radiance of Ra

I can smell herbs, violet and spice. It brings to mind the first shaft of sunlight on a hillside after a downpour. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself or a candle and meditate.

    Hand of Hermes

I can smell cinammon and the slight lemony-ness of ginger. It is a very pleasant smell. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself before performing a task or having an important talk.

    Catalyst

There's a slight resin/herbal smell that is warmed up by something like cinammon and ginger. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint myself before doing whatever I am struggling to do.

    Bastet's Laughter

It smells of soft citrus and a hint of rose, it's a very pleasant smell. It reminds me of Juicyfruit chewing gum. I will update with how it works when I have used it. I imagine that I will anoint a candle and meditate.
