    Sybaris

This is a very creamy, spicy violet scent and it’s rather sweet. The scent stays the same as I wear it. if you’re a fan of Lush, it smells like a mix of Skinny Dip buttercream/shower gel and an Absolution massage bar. The violet is very bright, and the clove and other spices blend with the tonka bean so it’s creamy spice as opposed to a sharp one.

    Shanghai

This smells exactly as it’s described… like lemon laced green tea with a touch of sweet honeysuckle. As it dries, the honeysuckle tones down a bit, but the crisp green tea and lemon verbena are still there. Unfortunately they fade and become very light after only a couple of hours, but the scent is a nice, crisp, bright one.

    Pontarlier

This is very crisp at first… I can smell the lilac, rose, and lavender all milling around. The lilac seems to grow in strength as I wear this… and the other florals fade to just a touch of rose. This would be a great scent for the beginning of spring when I’m craving the smell of blossoms, but it’s a little strong on me right now.

    Kostnice

In the imp and immediately on me, this smells very bitter and green with a light green undertone. I am definitely not a fan of geranium, so my nose is picking up that note quite strongly. This fades to geranium with a warm undertone… it doesn’t smell to woody, so I think it might be the frankincense. Basically, if you love geranium you’ll probably like this blend.

In bottle/imp: Strong cedarwood and very sharp herbal notes. Immediately on skin: The cedar is the strongest in this blend. The sage and bay leaf seem to be there too, but they’re making the blend sharper as opposed to a dry wood scent. After a few minutes: This smells like straight-up cedarwood on me. It smells much drier now… I don’t get the herbs at all. Later on: Cedarwood, cedarwood, and more cedarwood. It seems like a single note blend almost.

    Juliet

Juliet starts out very sharp on me. The florals seem to combine to create something very powdery, and there is a green note in there as well. After it calms down, this turns into a very pleasant soft floral, but it is still quite powdery. I think I can smell the honeysuckle, and the musk is nice and light. I don’t think I can detect the pear at all though. It’s worth another try, but it’s not something I loved immediately.

    The Unicorn

Upon applying this, I smell very sweet flowers with a light touch of herbs. It’s a very light and delicate scent, but very pretty. This got even sweeter as I wore it, but it lightened up as well. Not in a “omg, it faded” sort of way, but it’s gotten more airy and ethereal. I would describe it as the scent of white flowers brought on a warm wind… it’s a very pretty feminine scent without being perfume-y.

    The Queen of Hearts

As soon as I apply this, the lily is super strong. The cherry makes itself known as well, but together they create a very powdery and fruity scent. After a while it seems to get even more powdery on me and it ends up smelling exactly like a Fresh Sake-type scented body powder I have. This makes my nose tickle a bit when I smell it. It’s definitely not for me.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood. The notes in this blend really nicely together. The sweet pea gives this a very sweet and almost fruity floral scent, while the ambers and sandalwood add a light earthiness. As this fades, it becomes this pleasant sweet earthy scent with just the lightest touch of florals. I absolutely love this!

    Eat Me

At first I didn’t quite get why everyone loves this scent… when I applied it I could smell vanilla, honey, and a very light lemon scent, but it didn’t seem to be blending together very well. But after a little while the notes seemed to meld together and this turned in a sweet, berry-covered honey cake scent. It’s absolutely scrumptious and I find myself craving it quite a bit! I’ll have to order a big bottle of this soon.

    The Dormouse

This scent is so lickable! It smells like white tea with fruity and floral notes. It’s very clean and crisp, but not in a clean laundry sort of way. After a while it still smells just like it did when I first put it on. It basically smells the way fruity white tea tastes. Crisp, juicy, and refreshing!

    Cheshire Cat

At first on my skin, this was a slightly fruity lavender scent… very clean and crisp. A while later, it’s very fruity but floral and the lavender faded a bit. The musk came out a little and the scent was very nice. But unfortunately this faded after only an hour or two of wearing it.

    Yvaine

The high, crystalline scent of a star-filled night with blue lavender and lush magnolia. This scent morphed quite a bit on me. When it was still wet, it was strong lavender with white flowers strewn around. Very pretty and pleasant, but a little strong. After a little while this turned into a more unisex lavender scent... I couldn't smell any floral notes or any sort of sweetness in it at all. I let it settle for another couple of hours and... sandalwood?!? Where the heck did that come from? It stayed that warm scent until it faded completely. VERY unusual!

    Fairy Market

The lavender in this is very obvious at first with a very strong green note accompanying it. After a while, it fades to a beautiful fresh floral with a touch of sugary sweetness and grass notes. It’s very sweet, airy, and intoxicating!

    War

In the imp, this smells like ginger and spices. As soon as I put it on, the scent becomes more complex and the ginger note gets very obvious. After just a few minutes though, it morphs into this spicy, sweet, and almost juicy fruit scent… like spicy fruit candies. Unfortunately this morphs again as I wear it and the ginger becomes very strong with just a tiny bit of spice in the background. I wish it stayed in that spicy sweet fruity stage.

    Crowley

This scent is very unisex on me… lilac cologne with a slight amount of warm spices is how I would describe it, though the leather and mahogany were pretty strong notes in it as well. It’s a beautiful and well-blended scent, but I would definitely describe it as unisex to masculine.

    Bilquis

When I first put this on, it smelled of almonds and honey with a light fruity undertone. It’s pretty foody, but it isn’t a bakery type of scent. This faded into a very strong honey scent with musk and a little touch of almonds. There’s a tangy musky smell in the background which I think is the myrr, and a tiny touch of roses or another powdery floral in the background.

    Horreur Sympathique

When I first applied this, I could smell the wine very strongly mixed with the honey, carnations, and some musk. It was a very grape-y and spicy floral scent. The heavy grape note disappeared pretty quickly and this turned into a musky, spicy floral. After a little while, the sweetness amped up a LOT on me. The musky, spicy floral tone was nice, but there was a huge dose of sweet wine and honey which turned too sweet on me.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

In bottle/imp: Sweet violet with a slight bitter floral note. Immediately on skin: The violet is very strong, but the gardenia is there as well calming down the sweetness a bit. It’s very perky. After a few minutes: Violet is still the main note I get from this, but it’s a creamy violet. The vanilla and gardenia are not as evident as the violet, but they are keeping it from getting overly sweet. Later on: This fades to a soft, mild violet. While this is a pretty scent and I LOVE violets, it’s just not different enough for me.

    Harlot

In bottle/imp: Very dry rose. Immediately on skin: Very light, dry rose with a slightly spicy undertone. After a few minutes: This lightened up dramatically… I can barely smell it anymore and I’ve only had it on for maybe half an hour. It’s now a barely-there rose scent. Later on: This faded to almost nothing very quickly… after an hour I could barely detect the scent on my skin.

    Hurricane

In bottle/imp: Smoky with a sharp tang of vetivert and slight aquatic note. Immediately on skin: Very smoky with a distinctive burned wood scent and clean rain under the smoky note. After a few minutes: This is a tangy scent, but not very rain-like. It’s very smoky in a savory foody way (like mesquite woodchips in a smoker or something) and there’s a very light clean scent beneath that. Later on: This fades to a pretty airy scent with a touch of vetivert. The smoky wood note has disappeared completely, even though it flooded the blend for the first couple of hours.

    Mata Hari

When I first put this on, it smelled absolutely horrid. I could smell roses, and dirt/cigarette smoke with a baby powder undertone. After a little while it faded to jasmine and musk with a touch of rose and a bit of coffee in the background. There was a fruity undertone as well. Unfortunately, the combo of the coffee and florals just didn’t work on me.

    Lurid

In bottle/imp: Slightly resinous with a sharp lavender bite. Immediately on skin: This is slightly sweet and berry-ish with lavender and the resin lurking underneath. After a few minutes: This is lovely. The black currant is sweet but not overly so and the lavender lifts the blend up from being too heavy. The resin and musk are blended in very well. Later on: This becomes a deep and resinous chilly berry scent that is just beautifully blended. I can’t pick out individual notes but everything works together perfectly!

    Aureus

In bottle/imp: I can smell a slight wood note with some brighter, sweeter scent. Immediately on skin: Cedar, soft and warm… but there’s a cloying note there as well that I don’t like. And smoky as well… like charred sap. After a few minutes: This is a light cedar, but it’s still the main note. That sharp, cloying note is still there. I’m not sure what it is, but it makes this scent unpleasant on me. Later on: The staying power on this is pretty good, but unfortunately I don’t like the scent. It’s still cedar with an annoying, sticky cloying note.

    Black Lily

In bottle/imp: Very warm, sweet, and resin-y. Immediately on skin: Oh, this smells lovely. It’s lily, but not generic white lily and I think I smell some other floral in there too. Jasmine, maybe? It doesn’t have the “clean” dryer sheet scent I get from most lily notes.. instead it’s sweet and light, but at the same time dark and shadowy. After a few minutes: This is lily, but no lily I've ever smelled! It's dark, resin-y, and sweet with that light lily scent to it. Beautiful! This is a light floral, but it’s very dark. It’s a very “low” scent if that makes any sense… It’s nice and subtly sweet and the scent sticks very close to my skin. Later on: This scent fades to a dark floral on me... it's light and rather complex, but still retains something of its namesake which keeps it fro getting too dark. I absolutely love it and need a big bottle for sure!
