    Venerable Priestess of the Wood

it’s a sweeter incense than you would deduct from the description alone. definitely green and herby with a big dryness that wants to catch on fire, like a pre-smoke? anticipatory smoke note? i’m not sure. there’s not really any freshness that i can pick up, all dried up herbs and dry old incense. only got drier and more powderish with time so be warned if that’s not your cup of perfume

    The Lion

it kills me that this is running bubblegum on my skin 😫 the spicy cinnamon candy is nice but it's definitely no golden amber which is breaking my heart because the lion is such a big pick when amber recommendations go around. over time some of the dryness peeks its head with time but mostly this is a pretty chemical/artificial sweet smell of candy. my imp was pretty aged and deeply red so maybe i should have tried it fresh instead. bummer!

    Haunted

haunted is the most reliable and likeable gc imo. along with snake oil, haunted has been a staple imp that lives in my purse 24/7. the amber here is as warm and golden as the memory of a sunbeam with a slight pop of lemon brightness from the sun, the sweet warm spices are more like your ideal of spice instead of actual real Spices, and the sweetness level is perfectly in tandem with its richness. this is how i imagine it feels for a cat to lay and warm in a sunbeam. fate led me straight to haunted, out of my 100+ imps, this was the very first i tried and stiill my favorite bpal gc. wishing there was a lotion/hair gloss of my sweet haunted 😫

    Nephilim

it could be my inexperience but i failed to pick out a single note from this before reading the description. still it’s hard for me to decipher what should be going on here! it’s dry, light, and a little sweet with just a poke of herbs. mostly what’s there for me is just dryness, a dry smell kind of like a less offensive witch hazel, but it really takes a close sniff to try and differentiate any notes at all because it’s just so faint. definitely not for me

    Pinched With Four Pumpkins

this perfectly nuanced on the pumpkin note. absolutely not an in your face pumpkin or pumpkin spice heavy halloween scent for those who aren’t into that, it’s deeply warm and earthy with a touch of pumpkin. this is such a shocker for me out of the bottle because i’m not usually one for coffee or pumpkin, and smelling it physically pulled me near to the bottle… it’s blended perfectly with no note outshining the other, just a warm delicious under the covers smell. i don’t smell much woodiness from this but im pretty curious now as to what the original pinched is like!

    Triumphant Vulva

perfect scent for hardcore almond lovers, there is a Lot of almond, All the time. luckily that perfectly describes me 😄 ! the sweet almond tang is closely matched by a slightly green? pop which i attribute to the lotus but the star of the show in this oil is the warm cream accord which beautifully deepens as the hours go by. insanely real, drinkable, and somehow noticably warmed, but that might be placebo from the name. i notice this scent for a long time which is more than i can reliably say for most other bpals which wear off of me. perfectly creamy and decadent. its a super hit!!!

    Kabuki

after about 13 minutes of juicy, sweet, fresh licked cherry lollipop you arrive at a dryer more medicinal and licoricey destination that isn't my favorite especially after the pleasant sweet opening notes. there's still fruitiness in the drydown but more sanitized and scattered around amongst the lozenge mintiness of anise. no freshness comes out of this for me, cherry blossoms or things otherwise green floral or fresh. not my favorite but not awful

    Bruised Violet Compound

i wonder if i got the same oil as everybody else! while i love bruised violet compound it doesnt stick on me as a dark and sultry smell. i smell a bright and wet flower thats earthy not in a dirty way but a refreshing, alive way. on the outskirts of it i still get the wet imp smell which to me is a very sweet purple candy like those fizzy grape soda candies that come in little cans at the arcade. the slight wet greeness is more alike to a stem or leaf than moss and enjoyable even to me who usually doesnt like a green smell. i get no red currant but thats at no detriment to the blend imo. very sweet wet living violets!

    Olisbokollike

came home grumpy from my bad day at work to olisbokollike in my mailbox ^^ my review as a bpal bread hunter: in the imp is all cream to me. a very nice smelling sweet cream! on the body the bread starts to rise although not to the heights i was expecting. throughout wear this is a sweet perfume that has a bread note instead of a bread perfume with a sweet cream note. most unconcentrated offhanded sniffs will be of a sweet gourmand oil (which i realize is what most non-me people want). the bread note is crusty and pale like a warm knock-hard baguette and i get little to no butter or salt from it. it is still very delicious but not fulfilling the oven warm pizza crust and oregano shaped hole in my heart… next time

    Jacob's Ladder

i’ve been slowly (torturously) enjoying this scent once in a while trying to let it rest and maybe deepen before i cement my feelings on it. the amber is exactly what i was hoping for based off the legendary status of this yule for amber people but the high pitched smell of flower that’s in there brings it down for me sadly. my boring nose wants the perfect linear and indulgent amber this would be without its rockrose! still the oil sticks on me for a long time and has a deep decadent resin smell that blooms on my skin. no powder (luckily for me, maybe not for thee) i’m thinking an aged bottle will be much better and less sharply floral…… will be on the lookout for older versions
