I once fell in love with a bread candle. I eat pizza about once a week in my busy season, lazy nights, so much easier than cooking in. All my home cooking, as well as my pizza, gets a generous amount of oregano. I wanted this one to be a hit, but I may need to either learn to love over time, or accept this is just an open and sniff bottle for me. The first time I opened my bottle, I said out loud, oh helllll yes. This hits. As soon as I plopped some on my skin though... bursting with nauseating yeast?! I don't really get the oregano, just pungent and super sour yeasty dough. I don't think my skin chemistry liked it one bit. I could barely smell it for a couple weeks without recoiling, so sad as I had such high hopes! Luckily there's always another to try hehe

Philommeides dropped upon me like an angel from heaven. This scent opens up with juicy, gorgeous ripe peach. She then turns, glistens and sparkles and a layer of champagne bubbles wash over the peach. I then get hints of beautifully blended carnations, tiniest bit of the lemon peel and blood orange, but not screaming which usually is a no no for me, so that's warmly welcomed by me! There's something deeply nostalgic about this one, while I find ways for all scents to be, this feels so ever pure and shining, more like the scent of memory itself than a distinct memory. Definitely a spring and summer scent!

Mictecacihuatl... Oh, you have stumped me. In the bottle, this one is straight up SCARY to me. The first couple weeks I received this one, I could only take a half whiff before quickly closing the bottle, it still lingering around me. She is strong asf! Now that I am brave enough to try it out, I am most of all interested to see how this ages. I can sense a depth that the woods and tobacco will gain with time, and am gonna foremost practice my patience. I mostly get a hard hit of the agave, wet, sticky, enveloping. Then I get the tobacco. Also almost wet. Like a tobacco leaf wrapper, juuuust licked a second ago to create a fresh roll.. Of whatever you may like to bring as an offering for your loved ones passed.There may be woods and roses hidden here, but they are so well slathered in this thick agave, dripping onto the altar. It's a bit of a love hate scent for me, and I will keep trying her.

I came here to say that I somehow can't figure out how this raspberry is revealing itself or if I can find it, but then again I can't find much else as well! This isn't so much of a fresh, wet juicy raspberry, no, this is a much dryer, almost candy like, lotion scent raspberry. This evokes being a teen waiting for my crush to call me on the landline... Celeb posters on the walls, pink sheets on the bed and all. While it's nice, it feels somewhat unremarkable. I'm interested to see how this develops, and I also may have not given it enough time to really get a good sense of this one. Time will tell!

While this is still what I would consider a simple, beautiful scent, I agree with doomsday_disco that this scent feels even more complex than a duet. It's rich, deep, earthy, and overall really gorgeous! Almost a dirt aspect in the bottle and wet turns slowly into a dry tobacco leaf, snuggling with some vanilla bean pods in a colonial storage shed. Something you know is there to keep you warm in the coming long cold months. I think this one will get a good amount of use by myself, and I think my boyfriend would enjoy it as well.

Oh boy. She's sweet. She's a lil spicy. She's sipping a coffee, of the pumpkin variety, of course. She also has good taste and wears snake oil. Where can you go wrong? Simply delicious, exactly what I wanted from her! She's a star, I don't know what else to say! Hurray! (2025 version)

2025 version! So much packed into a little bottle! The first to jump to the front for me was all the yummy spices, followed quickly by the nice red apple. Fir is more prominent in the bottle, and then wearing the damp woods washes over it all and really sticks it all together, like they're all happily bubbling away in a cauldron, on a rainy day in a cottage at the edge of the woods. Such a purely fall scent. After wearing for a few I can really get the pumpkin as well! This one will absolutely be getting a lot of wear!

First things first- I've never tried Is He, You Know? so I don't have any reference for the alternative scent! I was looking forward to this one and I was right! In the bottle, I get way more of the floral and maybe the oakmoss or spikenard- but also a hit of the patchouli, bourbon. Once applied, the floral and fresh side of it fades away, wit the woody balsam, patchouli, and bourbon come to the front. A great late fall scent if you're not into foody scents! This is a niceee complex unisex scent, which I am all for all the time. Excited to try this one on my boyfriend too!

This is such a lovely blend, sweet- but not much, papery, cozy fireplace reading vibes 100%. The woody notes come out once applied, but keeping that rich nuttyness in the background. All the notes are present, but playing with each other where one pokes out a bit more one moment, and then the next sniff I'm picking up another note at the forefront! After a few moments of drying down, I'm fully evoking a library brooding on my wrist. Love it and can't wait to let this one settle and age!

To start I personally get a whole bunch of super fresh apples! Not much else both in the bottle or going on. But once on and drying, the fresh baked bread and hints of the kitchen herbs come out and really rounds things out. Not to sound redundant, but all around this is a very fresh scent, without being green in any way to me. Fresh apples fresh bread! Maybe a tiny waft of the cinnamon once really dried down. Fun chilly day scent, yum!

ohhh Halfling, sweet Halfling. this perfume opened new doors for me. I've always cowered away from any type of gourmand, extra foody type perfumes. there was once a baked bread candle long ago that I fell in love with, but never the sweet edible scents. based on notes alone, I would have never ever given Halfling another look.. Until! Last year I was seized with an insatiable love for Baldur's Gate. When unearthing some old imps, I came across Halfling and in the interest of all things D&D, gave it a sniff... and even after my sniff, was super unsure. I said eff it, I'm trying to break out of my comfort zone and use more of these! I couldn't be more surprised! This scent feels like a warm hug. It has also inspired me so much to be open to these foody scents and they have all become my favorite!! (that imp was lovely and very aged. I have since bought a fresh full sized bottle. my review below is based off the freshie.) in the bottle: can be a lil scary tbh! I get the bakery vibes, a bit of oatmeal. wet: becomes soooo sweet!! almost like a custard. Then some cookieish smells, what I would relate to the "pastry cumbs". I'm not sure what kukui nuts smell or taste like, but there is a nice, nutty depth going on there too. dry: total oatmeal cookie. again, like a warm hug. I think the porridge sticks around and reads as oatmeal and baking in many forms to me. it makes me smell how I'd like to think you would smell after spending the whole day in a magical bakery, the smell of all the baked goods baking right into your clothes and skin. it becomes very soft but still ever present, and lasts a long while on me. all and all, this scent is very sweet and comforting, without really having a vanilla note that is usually present in other gourmands. I feel like I'm in the Shire bakery helping out for a huge festivity. I smell like a huge platter of freshly baked danishes, croissants and tarts! my last note with this one is, one day I found it went weiiirrrdd on my skin. almost sour like, plastic-y. I noticed someone above mentioning something similar, that maybe certain times the body chemistry doesn't align with this scent. only happened once though!

Mmmmm so so yummy! I love Please Scream, and have been surprised how often I like wearing it!! in the bottle: freshly brewed espresso! all the coffee vibes! I also get a tiny bit of the spices in the funnel cake, like coffee/espresso brewed with cinnamon, and maybe you're also frying up some pancakes as you give your coffee a sniff before pouring the creamer in wet: still lots of espresso and cinnamon, and the cake starts to come out a bit as well. I get a creamy-ness as well, coming from the ice cream aspect, but it's really not milky, more just very sweet! feels like it's giving something for the coffee to hold on to. dry: so I wore this one all day and just reapplied as I was reviewing. I took note before reapplying, I still had a coffee element going on, but somehow towards the end of the fade out, what I catch reminds me of tootsie rolls! and I'm not mad about it lol. overall, this one has been perfect for me lately, leaving the house in a hurry, still drinking my coffee and I can wear a nice perfume without feeling like I'm drinking a bouquet or incense stick like most of my other faves lol. Great foody scent!

Mmmmm yummy!! I love this one, it punches me right in the face super strongly with the pumpkin and cinnamon in the bottle. I don't get a ton of the funnel cake so far, but I feel like that will come out with age. Lots and lots of pumpkin spicey goodness, comes on pretty strong but dries down like a nice hug. I can maybe get the funnel cake long after the dry down, and the pumpkin stays a good while, getting softer and more mellow as it goes. Perfect early fall, going to the fair vibes! (exactly what I used it for yesterday hehe)

I'm trying something similar! I watch a lot of shows so I may swap some days for more of creepy/spooky/scary shows and not just movies! 10/1 The Invitation (2022) on HBO 10/2 Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages (1922) This one is pretty interesting and on HBO 10/3 Monster: Ed Gein (2025) just dropped on netflix, watched like 4 eps

Soft fall in the bottle as well as wearing! This one transforms quite a bit for me from in the bottle vs on the skin. In the bottle- I smell the punch of pumpkin, the kitchen herbs and bits of the baking, four and cocoa. As I wear the pumpkin fades pretty quickly, what I imagine as the wool note blooms to the front and sticks around with the cocoa notes, a sprinkle of flour and the kitchen herbs softly hanging out. Evokes a slow morning baking in grandmas kitchen, or perhaps being a lil kitty playing at her heels as she prepares her goods. So lovely on a rainy fall day!!
