    Ice Queen

In the bottle, Ice Queen smells faintly piney, and quite cold and crisp. Like breathing the air on a winter's day. On me, Ice Queen smells like melon. The melon has a soft background of pine. That sounds strange, but it's quite lovely. It's a very light, delicate fragrance. It faded quickly.
  2. Coiled Serpent smells similar to METTR to me. However, while METTR has a smoky, muddy drydown, Coiled Serpent has a dry, woody drydown. ETA: A closer match to METTR is Malediction. Also, I think Luna (now discontinued) and Fever are similar. They're not exactly the same, but the jasmine in each is complementary.
  3. Exactly what I was going to say. These oils are not your typical alcohol-based perfumes.
  4. Last night I used a Lush Pud and kept getting wiffs of Morocco (or Dana O'Shee). And this has been mentioned before, but...a Maiden/Potion/Santa Monica combination is just heavenly!
  5. I surprised myself by really loving this scent [king of spades]. I didn't think I liked fruity smells, but I think it's the musk in this that makes it soooo delicious. I have one imp which I'm hoarding. Is there anything similar? Thanks! Sheila

    All Saints'

Love, love, LOVE All Saints'. First off, straight from the bottle or after immediate application, it smells HORRID--salty yet sweet like a popcorn-flavored jelly belly. (I hate that flavor!) But after 10-15 minutes I get pure incense--spicy, gently floral, and warm. I don't get any particular floral note, but rather a mellow spice that reminds me of all my incense sticks together in the metal tin where I store them. My husband was raised Catholic, so I've attended services a few times--and this scent does remind me of the incense they use at "high church" masses. Isn't it amazing how a scent can totally transform itself from the bottle to skin? ETA: And it's a lovely room scent, too!
  7. Thanks Spanglemaker-- I feared as much!!! I heard orders take about a month, but when I read the word "shipped" I got all excited! *Trying to be patient* Sheila EDIT: I just realized that, if I had read this thread, I would know that CCNow "shipping" is different from "real shipping." D'oh! Sorry for the duplicate question. merged this topic with the one in the bpal faq section --sv
  8. A question since I am fairly new. I have two outstanding orders: one for 6 imps placed on Sept. 16, and one for the LE All Saint's placed on Sept. 24. If I click the link on the email confirmations I got from CCNow, both orders say their status is "Shipped" as of yesterday (Sept. 29). Before this, their status said "Order Received." Does this mean they're REALLY shipped? Or does it mean something else? Thanks! Sheila
