Okay, this is actually fascinating, because it's nothing like the warm golden rich spiced sandalwood-vanilla-amber-cardamom that I was expecting. I'm getting pale violets (that'll be the iris, probably) and ivory suede, plus a strong mentholated quality, which I'm sure is the cardamom - cardamom can have a minty mentholated vibe, but I've never had JUST the mintiness without any of the spice before. Interesting. In the drydown there's also a yellowish gingery fizziness (the mimosa flower?).This is actually very pretty and elegant, cool and standoffish, but wow is it different than I expected.
