Starts out as a strong amber on me and fades into a soapy, antique oak. It's very spooky, yet kind of sophisticated? Like the dark and sultry master of the manor welcoming you into his home. Side note: Wet, it reminds me of, in a weird way, Estee by Estee Lauder. Which is what my mom has worn for decades so, in a way, this fragrance reminds me of my mom

I get hit with musk and amber right away, then it fades to a soft fabric-y smell? This one is confusing to me because the name led me to believe it would be this intimidating, overbearing, rich scent, but to me it just smells like a vintage perfume? Not quite grandma-esque, but a sophisticated woman in the 1940s or 1950s. It just gives off vintage vibes. Now, I did sample it as soon as I got it out of the mailbox, so it may benefit from resting for a while. I do like it and may very well full size it!
