whipwaif

i picked this up on a whim from etsy. again thirding the description of a green apple jolly rancher paired with gin! pretty sweet with a little crispness. after awhile though it's going soapy kitchen cleaner on me. thankfully it's very light so not bothersome at all. not a fan of apple notes typically so i can't judge this the way i would like. probably won't reach for it often....perhaps if i'm sick and just need a little perfume boost without making me feel nauseated.

one word: GORGEOUS. i can pick out all of the notes separately on my skin, but the plum and cherry blossom reign supreme for me. this would pair well with a beautiful skin musk. it's sweet, creamy, and girly, but there is a sex kitten appeal about this. it's like a pink satin robe...but with only thigh high stockings on underneath. love it so much! back up bottle worthy for me. despite its overt ~girl~ qualities, i would love this on a man for some reason....throw is strong and seems to last a good while. one of favorite bpal's now.

spiky with a hint of sweetness. the initial description really spoke to me, but i had a visceral reaction to this in the bottle. on the skin, it comes alive. this blend has a sharp tarry kick, but i think the benzoin and sandalwood really aid in keeping that at bay. close to the nose i do get the sneezy black pepper and galbanum. it is a very green scent, but i also get the ~cool blue television static~ as well. the image, description, and scent ALL match perfectly. imho, this is also a thunderstorm in a bottle. i do quite love this scent, but i'm not sure i'll go through the bottle too quickly. i can see myself only wearing this on a hot and rainy summer night. the one downside too is that the throw and longevity isn't fantastic. still, such a gorgeous blend.

received this as a frimp, and i have to say this is absolutely gorgeous. reminds me of some of the "perfect" line of fragrances from sarah horowitz. beautiful fruity, floral, aquatic (hehe) and clean skin musk. this is nice for layering, although i love it on its own. i kind of wish this was a spray format. this is a more intimate and girly blend, perfect for a romp in the spring time. does NOT morph on me at all.
