    Waiting

I have loved this since first sniff weeks ago, but now is finally the time to review my favorite Lilith! Gingerbread is super strong when first applied, but it blends in beautifully with the pumpkin and coffee notes. I personally can't smell the hot chocolate, but it could just be that the other notes are overpowering it on me. Pumpkin doesn't stay long on me either, so for the most part it's pumpkin spice gingerbread and coffee. There's also a faint butter note on me too. It's the perfect breakfast scent! If you can only pick up one Lilith scent this year, I highly suggest trying this one if you love BPAL's foodie notes like I do. This would also pair wonderfully with the Pumpkin Latte Hair Gloss if you have it!

    The Queen's Croquet Ground

I sprayed this on a stuffed animal that I sleep with, and this scent is very calming. First spray smelled a bit like alcohol, but that didn't last long. Not sure of the age of my sample, so that may not be an issue for newer bottles. I get more of the rose note than the grass, this would be great during the springtime. I'm not the biggest fan of BPAL's rose, but this works wonderfully as an atmospheric spray than a perfume oil. If you're the same way but do enjoy a good rose scent, I would suggest this! So glad I tried this, I want to try out all of the Mad Tea Party scents! Will for sure keep my sample, but I'll probably upgrade to a bottle in the future.

    Jareth

I didn't really understand the Dorian comparisons until Jareth started to dry down. It's similar for sure, but I prefer Jareth overall. I'm sure this would do nice paired with Dorian Hair Gloss though. It's very leather heavy when first applied with a hint of the lilac on me. The leather note is still present after drying, but it starts to soften and the other notes come out more, especially the musk. I'm not a big fan of leather scents if they are the main note in a blend, but in this case I think everything blends together perfectly. Definitely keeping the bottle, I plan on getting all the Labyrinth scents. If you've already got Dorian, I would still try and find a decant of this. I think it's at least worth trying, especially if Dorian is your favorite.

    Perfectly Normal Childhood

Wet, it's pure cake batter and marshmallows. The cardamom doesn't appear for me until it's dry, but it's faint unlike the rest of the notes. I didn't think I'd be a big fan of the cardamom with these notes, but I think it actually works out pretty well. It's foodie, but not as much as the rest of the Lilith's I have tried. I got this decanted into a rollerball, which I'm glad because I think this scent needs a little bit more oil than usual. I think this is a good balance between foodie and floral, so if you're a fan of both you'll probably enjoy this one.

    Smut

I'm wearing the 2017 version for this review. I've been dying to try Smut for a while due to its popularity and the fact that it's from Lupercalia, a collection I haven't tried anything from yet. And with the recent Weenie update, I have a few decants from Smut-o-Ween coming in soon. So I wanted to be familiar with the original before reviewing those. It starts off super sweet and slightly butterscotch on my skin? Some vanilla is peeking through and I'm also getting some of the booze and spices, but it's not overpowering the rest of the notes. I want to say there's a touch of cinnamon in this, but I could be wrong and mistaking it for a musk. It is heavenly for sure and I'm glad I got the bottle instead of settling for a decant. I can see why this is one of the most popular scents! Highly recommend this if you're undecided on what to get from a Lupers update, I think this would please most people since it's not super foodie to me.

    Escape from the Autumn Carnival

Not sure of my bottle's age, but I'm thankful there's not much of a leather smell in this. It does smell a little like burnt plastic when first applied, but that went away pretty quickly. I'm mostly getting the pumpkins with a whiff of smoke and some hay in the background. It's definitely a strong scent, but once you get over the wet stage I think this morphs pretty well! If you love the smell of pumpkin but don't want a completely foodie scent, this might be a good one to try out! If you were anticipating the leather note, I would still recommend this for layering at least. The leather note is there at first, but in my case the other notes totally overpower it.

    Banana Bread

I decided to wear this on the day I'll be making banana bread and this oil does not disappoint. It smells just like bread and ripened bananas with a hint of vanilla and some cinnamon, possibly some other spices and nuts too but it's a little hard to pick out. The banana note itself doesn't last that long, around 30 minutes on me before fading into the background. But I don't mind it too much because overall the scent is still a winner in my book. The throw on this has also been fantastic, probably the best BPAL I've tried when it comes to that. Maybe because it hasn't been aged or because I put it in my elbows instead of my wrists? I bought a decant of this and decided to grab a bottle on the forum before even trying out what I had, but I'm glad I did. Banana bread is one of my favorite things to bake and this scent makes me really happy. It's perfect for getting in the mood to bake and definitely one of my favorites so far from the Liliths!

    Dorian Hair Gloss

I'm mostly getting tea with vanilla, definitely the same scent I've gotten from the perfume oil. I haven't tried this yet with the matching perfume, but I think this would be great paired with it because I've found this hair gloss has more throw than my imp. Just as lovely as the original, if you're a big fan of Dorian you're missing out by not having this in your collection! Definitely going to hold on to this decant and hopefully I can get both as bottles in the future.

    Bohun Upas

I was absolutely prepared to hate this scent when my bottle came in the mail yesterday. Sniffing directly from it, it smells like vinegar! My bottle was brand new and never opened from Ajevie, so it couldn't have gotten funky from age or improper storage. I've heard of people suggesting to give the oils some rest after they've been delivered to you, but up until this point none of my collection has smelled that much different than it did from when I sniffed it at the mailbox. I was ready to throw this up for swaps without even trying it out, but here we are. I decided to test it anyway because I was hoping it would morph into something else on my skin, and it definitely did! Wet on skin, pure vinegar just like I smelled in the bottle. But it ended up morphing in about a minute or two into a woodsy, almost incense like scent with no traces of that vinegar smell anywhere. Thankfully, I could pick out some of the fruit notes as it dried down even further and it's actually not as bad as I feared this would be. I'm hoping that little bit of rest after it came to me helped it out a great deal, and I'm sure with more rest and possibly age it might mellow out and be better. I really have no idea what notes gave this that strong vinegar scent, maybe the heady fruits? As much as the bottle sniff was a disater for me, if you happen to come across an imp or something of this I'd still say take a chance on it. Who knows, maybe it won't smell like vinegar to your nose like it did to mine and maybe it'll morph out on you to something more pleasant than expected. And another good thing is that it ends up having pretty good throw, something that I have found to be a rarity within the BPAL I've tested so far. It's a very strong scent when you first apply it, so definitely don't use a whole lot with this. Still don't think it's quite bottle worthy though, since I tend to gravitate towards the gourmand scents the most and I'm still haunted by that horrid vinegar note. This will potentially be swapped, but I'd like to give it a little bit more time before I do that to see if it works out better. I'm hoping the fruits will come out more since that was the reason I gravitated towards this scent.

    Wicked

Wet, this smells just like soap. But as it dries the soap note fades away so now I can clearly smell the florals. I'm mostly getting the jasmine note from this, I can't pick out the rose as much. Not sure on my imp's age so that may play a part into why I can't really detect it. It's pretty, but not that spectacular compared to the other BPAL I've tried with similar notes. Will hold onto my imp, but no bottle for me. I would avoid this if you hate clean and soapy scents.
  11. I'm dying to try some perfume oils or hair glosses that are similar to Halloween Carnival Atmospheric Spray: Pumpkin candyfloss, funnel cake, apple cider, a swirl of dead, dry maple leaves, greasepaint, chewing tobacco, and sawdust.

    Ranger

Ranger lives up to its name and is very very woodsy! I couldn't really pick out the difference between most of the notes because they all kind of blended together. But the patchouli was the one scent that stood out to me and pine. I'm not a super big fan of woodsy scents, but I will say this is probably the nicest one I've tried from BPAL. Not sure of the age of my imp, but I'm open to trying to at a later date to see if aging makes it better. Keeping my imp for now but I can't see a bottle purchase for this, unless aging really changes it.

    Intrigue

I'm going to be honest, I bought an imp of this for the name only. I didn't think I'd enjoy this scent as much as I do! I like how the smokiness isn't super overpowering and the cocoa and fig notes go together wonderfully. Sadly, the staying power isn't spectacular so for that reason I'll just keep my imp instead of upgrading to a bottle.

    Zephyr

My imp is aged, so I may need to retest this with a fresh imp. It's a nice scent, but definitely not bottle worthy for me. I'm mostly getting vanilla and lemon, none of the other notes appear on me. It also doesn't last very long and have much throw. Going to hold onto my imp for now but I am pretty disappointed with this one.
  15. fairybites

    Lampades

Very pretty, the cranberry stands out the most to me out of the notes. Not much smokiness that I can tell, but that might be due to the age of this imp. What little I can smell of the lily and spices are heavenly, I just wish this scent wasn't so close to the skin. No bottle for me, will happily keep this imp in the meantime though.

    Breakfast, Or Something

Very sugary cotton candy and guava on first sniff, but it dries down to the strawberry milk note with a tiny bit of guava on me. I adore this, but I wish the scent was as strong as it is in the decant. It's not bad on my skin, but I need to add extra than normal to really notice it. Definitely gonna keep the decant, undecided on if I'm upgrading to a full bottle yet.

    Thrills and Junk Food

This is one of the best foodie scents I've tried from BPAL so far! It starts off as only salty buttery popcorn, and then as it dries it morphs into the cotton candy and fruit punch blend leaving the popcorn note hanging in the background. I can't detect the pretzel much at all, I think it blends in too much with the popcorn for me. It's a great theme park/carnival scent and very very sweet. I'm sure this would layer well with Mouse Circus if you are wanting some more of the popcorn note! Highly recommended if you're into these types of blends, I'm picking up a bottle of this before the Liliths go away!

    Fighter

I'm get all the notes except blood, which is the one note I was most looking forward to since I have yet to try Blood. It's pretty cologne like, but I think the musk is making it also smell like abut like laundry on me. Leather is definitely the strongest note and you don't need to use a whole lot with this. It's an alright scent, can't say I'd gravitate towards it much, but glad to try it. Not sure how new this imp was, so maybe the blood notes fades once it's been aged a while.
  19. fairybites

    Sticky Pillowcase

Maybe it's because this has been aged over a decade before I got it, but it only smells like sour green apple candy to me with a ton of sugar when it's wet. But dry, it also smells like raspberries too. Super sour and sweet, I love it! I'm a tad disappointed I can't smell other candies that have been brought up in the reviews, but not enough to get rid of my bottle. Would like to see a re-release in a future Weenies update, because this smells so good it's a shame it's limited edition.

    Courtney

Bazooka Joe bubblegum mixed with child's liquid Amoxicillin with some suntan lotion lingering in the background. If you're interested in this but worried about the lotion note like I was, don't be. It's hardly there in my case, plus it fades after some time so it's only bubblegum. My only compalint really is that the scent lasts just slightly longer than the flavor in chewing gum does.

    Nectar Hair Gloss

First word that comes to mind to describe this is beautiful. The honey is barely there for me, but that's alright because all the florals blend together wonderfully. It also faintly smells like green grapes too. A gorgeous gloss and I'm glad to have tried out a decant of this.

    Boober

I am addicted to this scent! This smells exactly like freshly laundered clothes with a sprinkle of vanilla, but not enough of it to overpower the clean scent. I think this is a great scent for work or school since it just smells like soap and isn't that strong. But with this, I like how you don't need a whole lot. I'm sure it could layer well with a variety of scents, I'm currently wearing it along with Nectar hair gloss and it's beautiful. Happy that I blindbottled this after wanting it for so long.

    Delight

To me, this is a powdery rose with a hint of jasmine. A very comforting scent, much needed for the day I'm writing this review. I love clean, powdery scents however I can be a bit mixed on florals. In this, I don't think it's too overpowering. If I didn't love Follow Me Boy as much as I do, I would consider this to be bottle worthy. But I'll hold onto this imp for now since I do enjoy it. I wore Artificer the other day which was very strong, I wonder if layering that with this will be a good fit.

    O

Smells just like vanilla with a drizzle of honey, can't smell any amber in this. It's super sweet! Disappointed about no amber, so I might have to try a lab fresh sample of O to see if I'll like that more. I bought my imp second hand so I am not sure how long it had been aged. If you're not a fan of amber but enjoy the other notes, keep your eyes peeled for an aged version. A little does not go a long way with this scent in my case, so I'd recommend putting extra than you normally do with BPAL oils. If I didn't have any similiar scents, I'd grab a bottle of it. So I'll hold on to my imp for now.

    Artificier

Hmm, this smells like aftershave with eucalyptus on me. Not bad but not what I was expecting. I was hoping to at least detect the oil note because I think I would love it. But the aftershavey scent is just too strong and it's hard to not detect any other notes than the onces I've already listed. I may try this out with other RPG scents to see if I like it better that way. On it's own, I can't see myself ever reaching for it since I prefer sweet scents. I will say, one good thing about this one is that you don't need to apply much because the scent is so strong. This should fade down and be more pleasant, but at least I don't completely hate it. Definitely no bottle for me, that's for sure. I'll keep this frimp around for further testing. But hey, if you enjoy cologne scents, this could very well be right up your alley!
