    White Larry

I have a few other blends with the goat milk note that I love, and I have a few with a the butter note, and I love those, so I thought this would absolutely blow my hair back. Sometimes too much of a good thing is just too much. In bottle: smells like artificial butter replacement Wet on skin: mostly just butter in a pan. I get a little milkiness, but that butter smells like it's ready for something to fry in it Dry on skin: there's some sweetness that comes through after about 20-30 minutes, and then this ended up being a wash off for me. I'm going to end up re-homing this one to a nice family who will love him better than I could.

    Don't Touch

On skin, and in bottle, this blend smells like apples. That about it. I can tell you that if you put this in a diffuser, something really cool will happen and you will get to smell the apple blossom flowers, which are so sweet and creamy. I actually thought, "ahh, so this is what Eden smelled like." If you are willing to spare a few drops, you will not regret the transformative experience; your home will smell amazing.

    Agnes Nutter

I took a chance on a decant without knowing any of the notes. In vial: very metallic (I guess there's those rusty nails) Wet on skin: *almost a hint of leather* and straight into a straight up bonfire. It truly smells like iron being burned charred in a blaze, which is fitting for the character.
  4. I think this is "sister scent" to Famine; very similar scent profile. If you like one, you will very likely enjoy the other and vice versa. My bottle is aged about a year. When I see a scent description that says baby powder I get nervous that it read aldehyde specific, but this is not. It would actually be great for someone looking for something that reads "warmer," or "autumn," who does not like gourmand stuff because there's no obvious food notes but also not super floral or big resins/ spices. Overall it smells like a sugary cup of milk tea and freshly washed skin. And I keep thinking "caramel." I don't know why, but I keep thinking slightly burnt caramels.

    A Flaming Sword

I had a complex relationship with this scent. I loved the way it smelled in the bottle; all the notes were just perfectly blended and every time I opened it up it was so damn inviting. UNFORTUNATELY, the "fiery red amber" bit is no joke. If you amp amber notes, I recommend trying to snag a decant before blind buying a bottle. It was ok in a diffuser, but I ended up not being able to wear it, and re-homed the bottle.

Three Rounds, One Fall, No Submission

I love a gardenia scent, so I have nothing but praise for this. Heaping florals tempered with a string of frankincense. This is one I call on when I know I will need aromatherapy throughout the day, something beautiful to guide me. Those looking for those sulfur notes should be going elsewhere; I think that part of the description is frankly decorative.

    A Complex, Wiggly Sigil

Like an earlier reviewer mentioned, the Oudh in this blend is quite unique and will act differently. This is the first time it's ever been smooth for me and not gone directly to the barnyard. That pomegranate is bold, sweet, and very juicy berry. Medium throw and long wearing. If I am wearing a light jacket or sweater, it's still gonna have this scent on it the day after. My bottle is aged a year now and it's one of my favorites.

    Anne Bonny

I acquired an aged bottle (10+ years old) of Anne Bonny. In bottle: the patchouli is still very apparent; unlike my face, some things do not age. Also a salty, metallic note. 20 minutes: As it was drying on skin the patchouli was still quite open and there was almost bitter edge on the dry down. One hour: The wood resins come out. I am actually starting to just smell like lumber. Like a freshly purchased cedar chest. 5-6 hours in: Now there's some mellowing and I'm finally getting the frankincense. I cannot think of an occasion where I would want to where this again. I need to send her on to a new home where someone with different skin chemistry can let her shine.

    Follow Me Boy

This is 100% aldehyde, baby powder on me. Big throw, long lasting, 100% aldehyde. It's totally out of my wheelhouse. And I keep it because once a year, for a week, I have to do a huge networking and sales event, outdoors. I wear this scent.

    O

Am I the only one who does not wear this scent well? I got an imp and the honey turned to cat pee on me. I ended up having to wash off in short order. Very disappointed.

    Maiden

I was a little nervous to try this one out, because usually a rose note will overwhelm everything on me and lean wayyyy into aldehydes. But this smells like a fresh rose from a garden with some tea to hold it up, and I just had to give it a go. In imp vial: sweetly of rose, but not cloying or sharp. I can smell what I think is a ginger tea. 10-20 minutes on skin: low throw, rose floral. The carnation is just barely apparent. Is this what rich people wear to brunch? 2-6 hours in: I got a little worried that the rose was leaning into that aldehyde, but the carnation as a base is really holding this down in a good way. Every so often I get a whiff of the scent but it's by no means "walking ahead of me." Those of you who have problematic relationships with Rose, give this one a whirl.

    Baobhan Sith

I was frimped this one and tried it without knowing what the notes were; sometimes I like to live dangerously. In the vial: the grapefruit and tea tannins were coming out strong After 10-20 minutes: low throw, the sweetness of the apple rises to the top and I don't get much citrus at all This was eaten up in two hours or so; I had to get my nose right into my wrist to smell what was going on. It would be a great one for a younger person/ tween because there's no way to overdo the application. This would have been a good hair glass scent or atmo scent.

    Belladonna

Belladona ABSOLUTELY requires a skin test with a full dry down, like 20-30 minutes. She is like a kid who sneaks out of the house with a different set of clothes stored in her backpack--there's a whole other situation here, and you need to wait around to get to witness it. In bottle: very medicinal Wet on skin: wet upturned dirt and fresh green plants dry on skin: freshly cut grass On me this one will stay for about 6-8 hours with low throw. I feel very comfortable even wearing it to work during super hot FL days.

Tomato Leaf, Black Pepper & Hay Absolute

If you are concerned by reading the notes that you will smell like a garden/ salad, please do not be. This is the raw greenness of the tomato vine freshly cut. The hay note is very crisp and somehow makes the blend smell freshly washed (I think this is the clean, somewhat soapiness that some reviewers are getting) and the pepper grounds everything enough as a warm & spicy bottom note so that the whole thing doesn't evaporate away in 20 minutes without being super obvious about it. This blend is freshness in a bottle--it does not matter how disgusting you have gotten in your day; if you put this on to go somewhere, you will smell enchanting.
